Tutoring review by Lily in Somerville, NJ
During this session, the student reviewed three math worksheets. He has developed a strong sense of number fluency when converting between decimals and percentages. He requires minimal assistance when converting fractions into percentages and when ordering fractions and decimals from least to greatest. While completing two-step word problems, the student is able to choose the correct operations, but he may sometimes get confused about which numbers he is manipulating first. Finally, the student is working on basic pre-algebra concepts to help him become academically prepared for 7th grade.

Tutoring review by Candelario in Somerville, NJ
During our session, the student and I went over her assessment benchmark exam. I helped her understand the problems she got wrong. Most, if not all, of her incorrect answer choices were very close to the correct choice, so she didn't have any major misunderstandings, and she was able to understand why she missed the problems.

The student and I reviewed his homework, which was the math section of test 2. He did great! He got a 29 on this section, which is a big improvement over the 22 from the first time he took the test. We also did a full science section. We will have a lot to work on in the next 2 sessions before the test but he is off to a great start.

Tutoring review by Toniann in Somerville, NJ
The student did a great job today. We began with reviewing the vocabulary words and the essay from last week. She did well. Then we worked on passage based responses; we reviewed how to annotate again, and that helped her. Finally, we discussed the possibility of a creative essay. She wrote one, and did well. I left her with more vocabulary to study and another essay to write.
