Achieve The Score You Want With TACHS Tutoring

Dedicated Private TACHS Tutoring Online

If you are looking for a skilled TACHS tutor for your student, look no further. Varsity Tutors has a careful vetting process to screen potential tutors for specific criteria, including excellent teaching and communication skills, expertise in the TACHS and its contents, and ability to identify student struggles.

We also know that it is imperative that students can relate to their teacher, so we also look for tutors who have a great personality. Plus, we have the exclusive Live Learning Platform, an online learning center that can be accessed from any device with internet capabilities, including a laptop, smartphone, or tablet.

Boost Your TACHS Score

A TACHS tutor can assess your student's strengths and weaknesses, and then create customized lesson plans that cater to their specific needs. Lesson plans can be adapted to meet your student's preferred learning style.

For example, if your student is a hands-on learner, their tutor can use flashcards or games to teach them key concepts such as spelling or math word problems to keep them engaged in the material. When students are engaged and interested in the content, they retain more, which can boost their TACHS score in the long run.

Best Ways To Prep For the TACHS

When you choose TACHS tutoring for your student, they can interact with a skilled TACHS expert, which is not possible when they use prep software or cookie-cutter test prep books. Your student can ask questions and get answers in real-time, instead of searching for several minutes or even hours online for the answer to the exact question.

For urgent questions or concerns between their tutoring sessions, they can click on Instant Tutoring to be connected with an expert immediately. Your student can also take a TACHS class, which allows them to interact with their instructor and peers through video chat.

How much does a TACHS tutor cost?

Studying with a TACHS tutor is a great way to prepare for the exam, and we can find a tutoring package that fits your needs. The price of tutoring will depend on different factors.

For instance, if your student learns better when they have peers to interact with, they may want group tutoring, which costs a different amount than private tutoring. The amount of tutoring your student needs will also determine the price you pay. If they only need one session for an overall review before the TACHS, it will be a different price than ten sessions that dive deeper into their areas of struggle, such as reading comprehension. How do I choose a TACHS tutor?

When it comes to finding a TACHS tutor, we know it can be challenging to find the perfect one on your own. Why not leave the hassle to the experts? We screen potential applicants for proven expertise and a strong academic background in subjects found on the test, like reading and math.

You can feel confident knowing that your student is working with someone who is results-driven and will keep your student's needs at the forefront. We do our best to find the most capable tutors for our clients.

Are TACHS tutors worth it?

Yes, TACHS tutoring is worth it. The personalized lesson plans that your student's tutor can provide can help them retain more information and score higher on their exam, sending them into their new school as prepared as possible.

How can a tutor help you master the TACHS?

The student and I worked on reading comprehension and math today. I have been encouraging her to mark up the passages as she reads them in order to improve accuracy. She is taking my advice but finds that it slows her down somewhat. She continues to make simple mistakes on math. We will work on it.

First session. We reviewed the practice test he had completed over the weekend. Overall he did well with the content and time management. We found grammar, mechanics and synonyms to be his weaker areas. We discussed the problems and he was able to discuss his strategy for choosing a certain answer. He is very bright and seems to picks up the material quickly. We will also work on building vocabulary and reviewing spelling/ capitalization rules. Discussed strategies for each section and the overall exam. H.W.- Review first 20 vocabulary words, make sentence or create funny saying to remember the definition.

We spent most of the time going over parts of the practice test the student had done over the weekend. We went over synonyms and a math section, and worked on a few math concepts. Finally I introduced the rest of the English usage section on the exam to him and we did some practice problems.

I gave the student a diagnostic test for Math, Vocabulary, and Ability. He seems to be able to do the math, but he has a lot of trouble pacing himself during it. I am going to bring flashcards on Monday to do time drills. He did very well in the ability section. Vocabulary he did about average (13/20), so i am going to try to do some vocabulary concepts with him (word roots, commonly asked words, etc.). On Monday we will do a diagnostic for reading and language and go over the math section.

I began the session with the student by administering a diagnostic practice exam to identify areas of strength and areas that need improvement. Afterwards, we reviewed the errors that were made and discussed test taking strategies. Lastly, she was given several vocabulary words to read, define, and use in a sentence.
