Tutoring review by William in Lincolnwood, IL
We covered the mean value theorem and its applications on position and velocities. We also did integration, differentiation of integral functions, and average rates of change. The student has a very positive attitude towards the material and she is truly fast in understanding the ideas once they have been explained. She has some practice to work on until next time we meet. The student did a great job!

Tutoring review by Toni in Lincolnwood, IL
The student and I are working well together. He is opening up and starting to share a little more about himself and that is changing the dynamic of the sessions. He had his progress report from school and was pleased with his ELA success. We talked about how he can improve in math by increasing his confidence in the subject. We then reviewed his homework and wrote a reading response. In ELA, we worked on multiple meanings of words and how to use context clues to figure out what the meaning is of an unknown word. In Math, we continued to work on word problems and writing equations using parentheses to separate different operations within a problem.

Tutoring review by Traci in Lincolnwood, IL
The student is doing well with her preparation for the SSAT! We worked on a practice test from a different source tonight, and she knocked it out of the park! Reading and math both came quite easily for her, and many of the synonyms were also fine. That is the area we need to finish tomorrow. We also discussed possible story ideas for her essay. She is a strong writer, so the most difficult part for her will be narrowing her ideas and getting started so that she has enough time to write well, revise, and edit. Our last session before the test will be tomorrow evening, and I know she will be ready to go!

Tutoring review by Kristeen in Lincolnwood, IL
We went over a packet full of graphs and equations. I think the student's main focus should be understanding how to graph them. I want to make sure that he understands why things are being graphed a specific way. We will continue to go over this.
