If you are looking for a way to improve your Louisville GMAT prep, Varsity Tutors can lend a hand. By connecting you to services that offer comprehensive instruction and helpful content, we can assist you in your studying. The GMAT can make a difference in your business school application. Schools like Bellarmine University or the University of Louisville - College of Business may consider your GMAT score when they look at your application. Because a high score on this exam can help your academic career, it is worth the time and effort to prepare.
The GMAT is designed to assess a candidate's ability to succeed in the rigors of business school. The exam tests skills and concepts that are important in the business world. Many people take the GMAT at the end of their undergraduate years, but many also take the GMAT as they return to school to advance their career options.
What can I review during Louisville GMAT prep?
There are four main sections of the GMAT, which are Verbal Reasoning, Quantitative Reasoning, Integrated Reasoning, and an Analytical Writing Assessment. You are able to arrange these sections in one of three orders depending on your preference. To give you an overview of the exam, let's take some time to examine the content and layout of each section.
The Verbal Reasoning section consists of 36 multiple-choice questions, and you have 65 minutes to complete this section. You will have to solve problems based on written data. To do this you must display an understanding of logical inferences, evaluate arguments, and make inferences. The Verbal Reasoning section and the Quantitative Reasoning section are both scored on a scale from 0 to 60. However, most scores fall in the 6 to 51 range.
In the Quantitative Reasoning section of the GMAT, you will encounter questions based on the analysis of objective data. To solve these problems, you must understand math, logic, and data analysis. Some of the 31 multiple-choice questions will require you to use the data that is provided to solve the problem in question. However, other questions ask that you decide whether there is, in fact, enough information to answer the question properly. You will have 65 minutes to complete this section of the exam.
During the Integrated Reasoning section, you will work with data from a variety of sources. In addition to written and numerical data, you will also have to work through graphs and tables in the 30 minutes allocated to this section. Because of the complex problems you will encounter, you will need to integrate and synthesize the data in this section to address these problems. This section is scored from 1 to 8.
The Analytical Writing Assessment is based around an argument, which is provided. You will have half an hour to read the piece and write your response. Your response must detail which parts of the original argument are strong and which are not effective. In doing so, you will reveal your understanding of argumentation, the structure of an argument, and evidence-based reasoning. This section is scored from 0 to 6, and part of the scoring is done by a trained evaluator, and part is done by a computer program. The trained evaluator will examine the overall effectiveness of your argument while the computer will focus on the structure and layout of your piece.
How can Louisville GMAT prep help me to prepare?
There are two main options for your GMAT preparation. You can attend a Louisville GMAT prep course that allows you to learn alongside other students and your instructor in a collaborative environment. Or, you can work with a Louisville GMAT tutor in a one-on-one learning environment. Depending on your needs and schedule, either option can work well to help you pursue your goals effectively.
In a Louisville GMAT prep class, you are able to interact in real time with your instructor and classmates via a live virtual classroom. This setup encourages discussion. In addition to hearing lectures from your instructor, you and your classmates are able to ask questions and hold discussions about key topics. This helps you to learn about the material in an interactive way and to hear a variety of perspectives on the material. These sorts of interactions can help you internalize the material and give you a broad understanding of the ideas and skills needed for the exam. You and your class can help your instructor know where you need more help by asking questions. For example, if several people in the class are struggling with a particular idea, the instructor can devote extra time to that topic, demonstrate the idea, or start a class discussion. You are also able to schedule a time to meet with your instructor outside of class if you need extra help.
There are new sections that start every week, so you are able to get started studying whenever you wish. You can choose which sessions to attend based on how well they fit your schedule. You can also choose between two and four-week sessions. This degree of flexibility makes scheduling a Louisville GMAT prep class convenient and easy.
If you work with a Louisville GMAT tutor, you can tailor your sessions to your needs. You can pick the content that is most important for you to study and make a plan based on your goals. Your instructor is able to seek out learning tools that suit your learning style. The interactions you have with your instructor, whether in person or via our Live Learning Platform can help you absorb and retain the information and develop your confidence.

I graduated from the American Academy of Dramatic Arts in NYC in 2008, the oldest English speaking acting conservatory in the world. I graduated Summa from University of St Thomas with a BA in English, and just wrapped up a MS in Data Science from Northwestern. I'm a huge Red Sox fan and love watching detective shows when I have free time.... Positivity. Always. I believe that if a student is given positive tools and is allowed to understand the material rather than be lectured at, they're more likely to do well in the future.
