The student and I reviewed the nuclear chemistry chapter to prepare for her test on Friday. We did an overview of each section including nuclear binding energy, alpha emission, beta emission, positron emission, electron capture, and gamma decay. We practiced an example of each type of decay problem. The last section we covered was nuclear fission and fusion. Most of our review covered the concepts, but we did do example problems periodically. Mainly we focused on the areas that she was not comfortable with. When she didn't understand a topic or had questions, she asked. Overall, progress was great!

Today I began rehearsing the days of the week in English with the student.  The goal is to eventually learn the days of the week in both English and French.  We also reviewed most of his French vocab so far.  Then we spent a good bit of time using the chalkboard to write all the letters in lower case.  He also practiced writing his name with an uppercase P and then completing the rest of it in lower case.  We did this for his last name too.  He is doing great recognizing lower case letters and writing them.
