Tutoring review by Kirsten in Cornelius, OR
Today the student and I first studied for her math quiz tomorrow. We completed her review packet and made a study guide together. She understands the content of the chapter, but she made several small mistakes with addition and separating negative from positive. After studying for math we worked on an extra credit project for science. She made several drawings of four organelles. I loved her creativity and attention to detail during the project. Overall, it was a great session today!

Tutoring review by Morgan in Cornelius, OR
Today, the student wanted to focus on trigonometry so he could get a little more ahead in the class. We went over one chapter which dealt with angles of ration in both standard and course trajectory forms. We discussed the rules and techniques to use, then went through the problems in the chapter for extra practice. We then reviewed over the next chapter which dealt with finding the area of triangles and sectors of circles. The area of triangles was determined using two sides and a trigonometric function (sine) which sectors of circles compared the central angle of the sector to the total 360 degrees in a circle. We finished reviewing a brief overview of the unit circle and what the points on it mean. By the end, he seemed to be very confident with the trig functions and unit circle.

Tutoring review by Zhan in Cornelius, OR
We first did review. We practiced the 4 tones, reviewed numbers and dates, basic greetings, days of week, months as well as years. We also practiced a few basic Q & A such as what is your name? He studied and practiced this time before the session so it became much easier and faster than the previous session. Today's new vocab and phrase were: hot, birthday, how much/ how many/ what number/ when; "how old are you?" "when is your/ mine/ his/ her birthday?"...etc. We practiced back and forth with these Q & As. The homework is to keep practice saying people's birthdays and Q & A about age and times, and review the materials we did today. Good work!
