The MCAT is comprised of 4 sections, each testing you on a different skill set you'll need in medical school. the total seated time for the exam is 7 hours and 30 minutes, which includes your breaks. You will receive five scores for the MCAT, one for each section and one combined score that can range from 472-528. Some sections may contain experimental questions will not count towards your score. What can be covered during Tampa MCAT preparation?

The MCAT contains four different sections: Chemical and Physical Foundations of Biological Systems, Biological and Biochemical Foundations of Living Systems, Psychological, Social, and Biological Foundations of Behavior, and Critical Analysis and Reasoning Skills. The first three sections listed here consist of 59 questions, each with a time limit of 95 minutes. The 95-minute sections consist of 10 sets of questions based on different passages along with 15 individual questions. The last section contains 53 questions but you must finish within 90 minutes. This portion contains nine passage-based sets of questions with up to seven questions per passage.

The Chemical and Physical Foundations of Biological Systems section focuses on the function of the human body as well as basic physical and chemical principles of living systems.

The Biological and Biochemical Foundations of Living Systems assessment focuses on biological processes unique to living organisms.

The Psychological, Social, and Biological Foundations of Behavior assessment focuses on mental health issues. This is your opportunity to demonstrate your ability to work with the diverse general population encountered in the medical field.

The Critical Analysis and Reasoning Skills section focuses on your verbal reasoning, analytical skills, and reading comprehension abilities. The answer to the questions in the section comes directly from the passages provided, so you will not need any prior knowledge of the context in order to do well in this section.
