Hi everyone! My name is Alex Baggott-Rowe and I'm excited to be your next tutor. I live in Cincinnati OH with my wife and our two dogs including a the month old puppy! I love to cook, play board games, read, and watch TV/Movies, especially Marvel and Harry Potter. My background is in Language Arts and Latin which means I can help you with anything from Reading Comprehension to Vocabulary to Writing and Grammar! I have an undergraduate degree from Davidson College in North Carolina. I recently graduated law school and sat for the Texas Bar Examination. In addition, I have worked as a teacher in the Houston Independent School District (HISD) and for the Children's Defense Fund's Freedom Schools. I have experience working with students of all ages. I believe in the value of education, but also recognize the unique difficulties and pressures that today's students face. I strive to combat these difficulties with a youthful and energetic approach to tutoring, aiming to make subject matters come alive. My goal is to make study material approachable and fun while maintaining a level of focus and discipline that leads to positive results, including better habits and higher grades. In my spare time, I enjoy playing and watching my favorite sports.

I am a knowledgeable, passionate, and compassionate tutor. My teaching experience ranges from high school instruction, private tutoring, coaching, preaching, and leading high school youth groups. Over the past five years, I've taught and tutored students across public, charter, and private school settings as well as virtually. My experience spans ages 7 through 18 and includes English Language Arts, Writing, Reading Comprehension, History, and Elementary through Pre-Algebra Math. I also have extensive experience supporting students with diverse learning needs, including ADHD, Autism Spectrum Disorder, and Down Syndrome. I earned my Bachelor of Arts in Africana Studies with a minor in Arab Studies from Davidson College, and I am formally trained in Study Technology through Applied Scholasticsan educational methodology focused on helping students master concepts, improve comprehension, and build independent study skills. My teaching philosophy centers on connection, clarity, and creativity. I tailor each session to the student's learning style, set measurable goals, and create a supportive environment where students feel safe to make mistakes, ask questions, and experience genuine progress. Whether helping a child gain confidence in reading or guiding a high schooler toward higher-level writing skills, I focus on real understandingnot rote memorization. Outside of teaching, I enjoy writing, exploring world cultures, creating educational content, and inspiring others to approach learning with curiosity and purpose. My goal in every session is to help students not only succeed academically but also develop lifelong confidence in their ability to learn, think, and create.

I am a current senior at Davidson College, working towards my B.A. in German Studies and Arab Studies. I have spent many hours tutoring the German and Arabic language to college students. I have spent time abroad in Germany, studying German as a second language with AATG (American Association of Teachers of German). My years of being a camp counselor and babysitter have translated into my teaching methods and style. I encourage young learners to approach problems in multiple ways by retesting previously learned material and encouraging independent thinking. I am a huge believer in discovering answers instead of being told them. I look forward to working with you!

I have entered the PA profession as a second career. I was a teacher before transitioning into medicine and find tutoring a great way to tie both of my careers together! I graduated from Duke University PA school and passed my PANCE following a 2.5 week study plan and a few excellent resources. I am now heading into an Acute Care Fellowship.I would love to share my knowledge and study tips to help you feel confident going into the biggest test of your career. It was challenging, but I managed to score in the 99th percentile on the ACT, which opened up incredible opportunities for me. One of the highlights of my college career was interning at the White House, an experience that taught me the value of hard work and perseverance. Now, I'm gearing up for an exciting academic future: I'll be pursuing a Master's Degree at the University of Oxford and a law degree at Berkeley Law. These experiences have given me a wealth of knowledge and skills that I'm eager to share with you. I am a very passionate teacher who has worked in public and private school settings at both the high school and college level. I have an undergraduate mathematics degree, and taught AP Calculus at a North Carolina high school. I also have a PhD in philosophy, and have taught at major research universities in Missouri and Ohio. I am personally invested in my students' success, and take pride in being clear, conscientious, and accessible.

I learned Spanish while living as an exchange student in Ecuador the year before I went to college (1989-1990). I became fluent during that time. I worked as an Assistant Teacher to the Spanish Department while studying at Davidson College and enjoyed getting to know the students & expanding their understanding of the Spanish language & the Latin American culture. I had the privilege of studying in Spain during my Junior year, which deepened my appreciation for the roots of the language. I worked as a Spanish/English interpreter for the Orange County courts as my Summer job during those years. I am thrilled to have the opportunity to share what I learned.

I also have a Master of Divinity degree from Columbia Theological Seminary, where I won numerous awards, including the prize for highest academic distinction.I have experience teaching ancient Greek, ESL, ELA, and religion, and am able to tutor in a variety of other subjects. Hey! My name is Ramsey, and I'm excited to tutor various subjects, from SAT/ACT prep to high school and college-level STEM courses. I have a strong background in educating high school and university-level students, and I pride myself on catering to students' diverse learning styles! As a student with late-diagnosed ADHD, it is my mission to create engaging lessons and inspire students to become advocates in their learning.

I graduated from Davidson College in North Carolina with a BA in Community Development based on my involvement in Community Service. Since then, I lived and taught Kindergarten, Elementary, Middle, and High School students in Thailand and Taiwan, and ESL and GED adult students here in the United States. I have worked with students from over 70 different countries in the world, of all ages, and all levels. I believe that learning should be fun and interactive.
