My proficiency in Spanish, French and English has taken me to the international job market. I'm a recent graduate from the University of Pennsylvania who studied Linguistics and Deaf Studies. I eventually hope to work towards breaking down barriers between the Deaf and hearing worlds and encouraging greater focus on reforming Deaf education practices.

I graduated from the University of Pennsylvania in 2013 where I received a Bachelors of Science in Economics with a concentration in Marketing. I currently live and work in NYC after a brief stint in Boston. I am studying to take the GMAT so I understand the frustration that students studying for the SAT may feel.As a tutor, I focus primarily on Math as that was always my strongest area of study. I scored above the 95th percentile on the Math section of the SAT. I have previous experience helping students to increase their performance on that area of the test. I enjoy helping students to understand topics where they have previously struggled. It is rewarding to see them finally grasp a topic that they were finding difficult or watching their SAT scores increase after learning some strategies.As the oldest child in my family, I have always been around children anywhere from 6-14 years younger than I am. I enjoy working with younger students and I have the patience to go at their pace.

I am a currently a sophomore at the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia, PA. I am majoring in Physics with a Concentration in Chemical Principles. I am also minoring in Creative Writing. Throughout my schooling, I have thrived in all subjects. However, my favorites are Science and Writing/English. I find that the two have similar way in promoting creativity. Not surprisingly, I will be tutoring Physics, Chemistry and Writing. Additionally, I will be tutoring for ACT prep. I took the test officially three times and was successful each time and believe that I can share effective tips on how to increase scores in each subject. In my free time, I like to play sports like football and basketball. I also like to read novels and poems. My favorites are by Kurt Vonnegut and Jack Kerouac. I am a strong believer in education being the seeds of opportunity and hope to share my passion of learning with my students.

I received my Ph.D from the University of Delaware in Materials Science and received my Bachelors degree from the University of Pennsylvania, also in Materials Science. In addition, I have a minor in Chinese Language and Culture. I have always loved learning and science, which is why I pursued the highest possible degree. I just want to pass my love on through tutoring. I have tutored grades 1 though 12 from reading and phonics all the way to calculus and chemistry. I have also worked on test prep and taken the SATs, SAT IIs and GREs.I have worked with children of all backgrounds and abilities, so am patient and understanding through any difficulties.

After graduating from the University of Pennsylvania, my curiosity pulled me many directions. I have since settled into a career doing digital forensics for investigations and love the challenges of keeping up with technology. Through my extensive training I have come to greatly appreciate those with not only the gift of knowledge and intelligence, but with the added gifts of communication and generosity. I enjoy sharing my love of learning, unraveling the psychology of testing and demystifying technology for all.
