Hi! I'm Shristi, a UPenn student passionate about creative writing, college essays, and helping students find their voice. As an award-winning writer and Youth Poet Laureate finalist, I love helping students strengthen their writing, develop meaningful ideas, and prepare pieces for competitions and portfolios. I also help students brainstorm, edit, and polish college application essays while making sure their writing stays authentic and personal.

I graduated from Penn in 2013 with a major in Cinema Studies and a double minor in Consumer Psychology & English. Since graduation, I've been working in the television industry in a reading and writing intensive role. While in college, I spent two years as a member of the West Philadelphia Tutoring Project, which is an organization that matches Penn students with local West Philly elementary and middle schoolers in need of academic assistance. Working with WPTP was a wholly fulfilling experience, and through it I learned how rewarding it can be to work one on one with a student toward a common goal. I'm an avid reader and a very strong writer with a penchant for time management and study skills, so I'm especially looking forward to tutoring students in these areas, but also look forward to working with students on mathematics and test prep. It is my personal philosophy that asking for academic help is a sign of strength rather than of weakness, and I look forward to helping students reach their potential. In my free time you can find me at the movies, reading in a park, seeing a play, or taking in a museum exhibit.
