About Me

I am a graduate of Davidson College. I received my Bachelor of Arts in Africana Studies with a focus on English. Since graduation, I have entered into the classroom teaching 7th and 8th grade English Language Arts and 12th Grade College and Career Counseling. I earned my Masters of Arts in Teaching. While I tutor a broad range of subjects, I am most passionate about English, Literature, and History. In my experience helping struggling students prepare to close the gap that the pandemic highlighted, we always seem to have the most fun learning to write and comprehend through creative writing. I am a firm proponent of education, believing it to be absolutely necessary for an improved quality of life, and I try to impart this appreciation to all of my students. In my spare time, I enjoy reading, working out, and mentoring youth in the inner city.
