My true passion is ignited when I mentor and tutor young people studying the sciences. I have an extensive background working in after school programs, and tutoring. I am 27 years old, having just completed a Masters degree in Medical Sciences from the University of South Florida. I am living in Jacksonville until I hear from medical schools. As an educator, I know how to help each student get the most out of the material. I am very patient, but know when to challenge the student appropriately. Having worked in the corporate and childcare settings, and teaching as a substitute, I bring a blend of experiences that have showed me that good communication is key to successful student outcomes.

Currently starting my Master's degree in Film Production at Full Sail University. Graduated from USF in 2019 with a B.A in Communication. I came to the US back in 2015 with very basic English and I self taught myself a completely new language, I believe I can use my experience to teach others the importance of learning a new language and how many doors it can open for you. Spanish and English are my forte, but I also have a basic knowledge on japanese and can help you get started! Also, I transfered a lot as a student, from being and international student, to being in-state. I know the ups and downs of the application process and how frustating it can be, I hope I can help easing those stressful moments.
I am dedicated to learning. I am currently working on my own advanced degree and I experience fulfillment through helping others to learn.
Education has always been at the center of my life. I earned my Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering from Georgia Tech, then went on to study Mathematics at the graduate level at the University of South Florida. Later, I completed a degree in Educational Leadership, which allowed me to combine my love for teaching with strong expertise in tutoring for exams such as the PRAXIS and FTCE. I began tutoring many years ago, and it quickly became one of the great joys of my career. I truly love everything about schoollearning, teaching, and being part of the academic journey. As a high school math teacher, I taught a wide range of subjects, from Algebra to AP Calculus, and I've carried that same versatility into my tutoring work. My goal is always to break down difficult concepts into clear, understandable lessons while keeping students engaged, confident, and never overwhelmed. Beyond teaching content, I focus on building strong connections with my students. I believe that when a student feels comfortable asking questions and isn't afraid to say, "I don't understand," real learning happens. I create a relaxed, encouraging atmosphere that fosters curiosity and growth. Over time, I've also developed a wealth of test-taking strategies, which I share as needed to help students manage anxiety and approach exams with confidence. The greatest reward for me is seeing my students succeednot just in mastering the material, but in gaining confidence in themselves as learners. Many of my students have told me how much easier math feels after working together, and I'm proud to have earned nearly perfect ratings throughout my years of tutoring. At the heart of everything I do is a love of learning and a passion for helping others discover it too. Tutoring is not just my profession it's my calling, and I am grateful for every opportunity to make a difference in a student's academic journey.

After one year there, I continued to live and work in Germany for four years. I taught English as a foreign language and earned a CELTA teaching certificate offered through Cambridge's ESL program. In 2012 I decided to return to the US to pursue a Master of Pubic Health. I received my MPH from the University of South Florida in 2014. My favorite classes in public health were Epidemiology and Biostatistics.

I'm an engineer with tutoring experience ready to help students of all ages in a variety of math subjects, as well as with standardized testing needs. Being an engineer means that I'm a problem-solver, and that I need to be able to adapt to a variety of situations. I apply that skill to my tutoring: every student is different, and I adapt my teaching methods to those differences. The most important thing I do is make sure each student understands what they're trying to learn, not just tricks to get through their homework. If there's some basic skills missing, I make sure to go back and polish those up before getting back to the main problem. At the end of the day, I want the student to to feel confident they're getting better.I can handle things as simple as algebra or as complicated as calculus. I'm also an excellent test taker, ready to assist with the SAT or ACT exams. I'm confident I can help you or your child get better at math, and hopefully make it a little fun along the way.
I graduated with my Bachelor's Degree in Communication from the University of South Florida, and went on to obtain my Master's Degree from the University of Colorado. My teaching and tutoring experience has been varied and extensive, with both in-person and online formats. I began by teaching Public Speaking classes at the local university. I later transitioned into teaching English, Grammar, and rudimentary Latin to Elementary and Middle School students for several years. My most recent experience as a teacher and tutor was as an online, one-on-one ESL teacher for over 500 students in another country. I enjoy and am passionate about teaching the subjects of Reading, Grammar, Public Speaking, and Study/Organizational Skills. I love interacting with and learning from students from all over the world. Seeking and fostering a teaching environment of mutual trust and communication is very important to me, and one of the most fulfilling aspects of my life.

I completed a Master's degree from National Louis University in Curriculum and Instruction and an Educational Specialist's degree fromNorthwestern Louisiana State University in Leadership. I enjoy working with students and helping them be successful. It is rewarding to assist students in realizing their potential. I especially like teaching reading and written language.
