I was someone who always knew I wanted to be in education. I received my bachelor's degree in psychology and master's in education at the University of South Florida. I am in my 10th year teaching, 8 years in 3rd grade and the last two years working in ESE with K-5 students. I love working with students who are struggling and being there when something finally "clicks"! I currently tutor in reading, written responses and math. I know testing is a stressful time for students and have experience working through different strategies to help them during those times.

I'm currently a undergraduate student at the University of South Florida. I am currently double majoring in Biomedical Science and Public Health. I enjoy tutoring Math such as Algebra, Calculus, Pre-Algebra, and SAT Math. Chemistry and Biology are other topics I'm really interested in teaching. In high school, I took many advance courses such as AP Calculus AB, BC, AP Chemistry, AP Biology, AP Human, ect. I'm confident on teaching any of these AP courses as well. Currently in college, I already took General Chemistry 1, 2, and Biology 1, 2. These are some other courses I'm willing to teach as well. I love teaching because I enjoy helping students understand topics they weren't previously confident on. I tutored at Mathnasium and Kumon, where I used to teach variety of different age groups. My teaching style for students is more engaging and interactive. Rather then me talking for an hour, I teach students using examples and practice problems. Some interests I have outside of teaching is that I enjoy hiking, swimming and spending time at the mall. My background consists of a mixture of medicine and athletics. I grew up as a multi-sport athlete playing football, running track, competing in Olympic weightlifting, and as a competitive cheerleader. I attended the University of Central Florida on a competitive cheerleading scholarship where I earned my bachelor's degree in Health Sciences Pre-Clinical track in 3 years. From there, I attended the Morsani College of Medicine in Tampa, FL where I earned my master's degree in Medical Sciences in 1 year while maintaining my student-athlete status as a competitive cheerleader. Then, I decided to take a step back from medicine and become a college professor. My wife and I now own 2 online companies in parallel to my career as a professor. I love giving back and helping students break-through their potential and I see a great opportunity to help students in many different subjects, all around the World, though Varsity Tutors.

I spent the first 6 years of my life in Denmark, but have since lived in England, Germany, and now the United States. I was fortunate to become fluent in Danish, German, and English along the way. This gave me access to a full ride at the University of Florida, where I fell in love with science and became a Chemical Engineer. I have spent 3 years as a pharmaceutical engineer and recently scored a 99% MCAT, earning me a spot in the USF Morsani College of Medicine Class of 2030. One of the reasons that I love tutoring is that I experienced the hardship of trying to learn STEM material.
