Most of my time is now spent on small business strategy and start-ups. I have enjoyed being an accounting and business tutor for a couple years and also coach racquetball.Anyone can pass accounting tests with great grades! Accounting is just a system that we have to learn from the ground up. Usually when we are anxious or nervous about a class, it's just because we missed something or aren't sure what to focus on. I was fortunate to have great coaches when studying for hard tests and it really helped me stay focused and still have fun while being a student. I am a graduate of the University of South Florida. I received my bachelor's in Chemistry and a minor in mathematics.I have tutored in mostly STEM subjects (particularly chemistry and biology) and Spanish.I love to tutor these subjects because I love to bring a different and more creative approach to better understanding the difficult concepts.This will be my 7th year as a tutor. While tutoring, I believe explaining the conceptual parts of the problem is important, but I also believe in giving a lot of practice problems to reinforce the ideas.

Currently starting my Master's degree in Film Production at Full Sail University. Graduated from USF in 2019 with a B.A in Communication. I came to the US back in 2015 with very basic English and I self taught myself a completely new language, I believe I can use my experience to teach others the importance of learning a new language and how many doors it can open for you. Spanish and English are my forte, but I also have a basic knowledge on japanese and can help you get started! Also, I transfered a lot as a student, from being and international student, to being in-state. I am also a licensed teacher for World Language (Spanish) in Massachusetts. As a non-native Spanish speaker, I had to learn Spanish from scratch. So, I understand the pitfalls and challenges that English speakers face when learning Spanish. I use this knowledge and experience in my teaching and tutoring, often explaining complicating Spanish grammar through the lens of English. Blake combined all of his Poetic Compositions with Etched Illustrations printed on his own home studio Printing Press and hand colorized them. As a passionate educator and graduate student pursuing my Master's in History with a concentration in American History, I have over 2 years of experience as an online tutor, specializing in AP US History, AP World History, and Art History. I am a current ELA Middle School Teacher in New York City. I have provided whole and small group reading instruction aligned to the Common Core Standards. Before moving to New York in late 2011, I completed my Master's degree at Boston University in Teaching and Curriculum.Teaching is not only instructional but social, and it is rooted in building relationships. While it is important to be firm, it's equally important to have a relationship with students and parents. My philosophy stems from years of public service after college. In 2008 I was a corps member at City Year Boston in which I taught literacy to disadvantaged students. Soon after, I joined Teach For America in 2009 as a corps member and worked in the Boston Public School system. I was lucky enough to teach a range of grades (Grade 2-8) in both public and private school settings.I enjoy teaching, moreover I love READING! Literacy is my passion. Teaching kids to read is a difficult task; there is no one magic bullet. There are many factors I target while teaching or supporting a struggling/reluctant reader. I also try to instill a joy of reading to struggling/reluctant readers by exposing the student to different types of literature and using other methods.
