I received a BA in English with a Concentration in Education and subsequently moved to New York City . While in school I spent a semester shadowing a local high school teacher and aiding students in a one-on-one environment with a variety of tasks within their English curriculum. As English was my major, it is certainly my passion, but I also love a variety of other subjects, especially math and standardized testing. As a teacher during the week I understand the importance of making conceptual connections as a student rather than memorizing facts and strategies.

In my free time, I enjoy reading, watching sports and movies, listening to music, and spending quality time with friends and family.
