I am a current undergraduate student at Columbia University in New York City, pursuing a Bachelors of Arts in History and Economics. These are two of the subjects that I enjoy tutoring the most, but I also have a penchant for tutoring and learning about math and literature. I am passionate about tutoring because I benefited from the personalized guidance of great tutors in my past and I really enjoy seeing students push themselves and develop an appreciation for subject areas or even the mental exercise of test-taking thanks to tutoring. I also believe that tutoring a subject area is the greatest way to maintain and develop understanding of its material for both the student and the tutor. I was an active tutor in high school in mathematics and history and as I take more classes in college, I look forward to tutoring students in those in which I understood the material really well. In my spare time, I enjoy reading about history, camping, biking, and traveling when I can (or exploring the incredible city of New York)!

I graduated high school in 2019 and am currently working towards a Bachelor's Degree at Columbia University in the City of New York.I have been tutoring other high school students since my freshman year of high school in Spanish, math, and history courses. My favorite subjects to tutor are Spanish I since I love working with students who are beginning to learn Spanish, and art history because I enjoy understanding changes in and across civilizations through the lens of art.As a tutor, I am passionate about helping the student achieve their academic goals while also encouraging them to gain strong study skills such as perseverance. I try to meet students where they are at, and then work with them to improve their understanding of subject material and ensure they feel confident in their thinking.
Hi there! I'm Jennifer and I would love to be your tutor! I've spent the past year teaching high school technology and business classes and will begin graduate school at Columbia University in the fall. I am available for tons of subjects including college essay prep, SAT and AP exam prep, English and writing classes, as well as some high school science courses, and all middle and elementary school subjects.I love teaching and helping students learn, and especially love fostering curiousity outside of school. I graduated Summa Cum Laude with my BA from St. Edward's University in Communication and a member of the Honors program where I completed my undergraduate thesis. I also work as a freelance journalist and enjoy photography in my spare time!
Hi! I received a BA in history from Brandeis University and an MS from Columbia in Nutrition. I love reading and studying history, but my true passion is medicine. I currently work as an EMT (Emergency Medical Technician) and am in the process of applying to medical school.I first started tutoring fellow students in high school. In college I helped fifth graders at the local public school after school with their homework. I have experience with a broad age range and I enjoy the differences in approach that each student demands. I believe that a tutor must have patience. This allows students to work at their own pace as they find the approach that works for them.In my free time I love reading historical fiction novels, watching TV (especially baseball), taking my dog to the dog park, playing basketball.
I am a BS/MS student at Columbia University studying Electrical engineering and also following the premed curriculum. After my undergraduate, I hope to pursue an MD-PhD and work in a teaching/research hospital as a physician-engineer.I am committed to teaching and tutoring for the satisfaction of making a difference in someone else's education. I have over four years of experience tutoring, starting as a volunteer when I was still in high school. Many students at my high school came from lower-income families and didn't have expensive test prep classes or professional tutoring agencies within their means, yet still aspired to some of the best universities in the country. To help them achieve their dreams, I started my own six-week ACT prep program after school, free and open to everyone regardless of background or socioeconomic status. I ran this program for two years, working with over 100 students personally in the process. The program is now in its fourth year, and is currently run by my former students. It is also in the process of being made districtwide, not just restricted to my high school.I took all my standardized tests my sophomore year of high school. Since then, I have tutored test prep for the PSAT, SAT, ACT, and SAT IIs as well as for AP and IB exams. While I have tutored a broad range of subjects, my concentration lies in test prep and math, physics, and chemistry. The area I have the most experience with is test-prep tutoring. Let me be completely frank: reading and math are fun; standardized tests in reading and math are not. My philosophy is to make the process as easy and painless for my students as possible, by sharing tips and tricks that have worked for me and my other students - so you can get back to what you do enjoy. When I'm not tutoring, I'm reading, playing the piano (poorly), sleeping, or learning a new language (I speak English, Mandarin, French, and Spanish). In that order.
I am a 2nd year medical student at Northeast Ohio Medical University and have tutored K-12 and college students over the past 10 years in various subjects ranging from math and science to SAT prep and language arts. My educational background includes an MPA in Development Practice from Columbia University's School of International and Public Affairs, a B.S. in Molecular, Cell, & Developmental Biology, and a B.S. in Mathematics-Economics (both from UCLA). In addition, I have scored in the 99th percentile on the SAT, ACT, and GMAT exams and scored in the 95th percentile on the MCAT. I really enjoy working with students of all ages and backgrounds and believe all students are capable of learning and being successful with the right approach to education. I would love the chance to discuss in more detail what kind of tutoring you or your student is interested in and thank you for your consideration!
I feel that my experience as a tutor training coordinator and as an adjunct professor has given me a unique perspective on tutoring. I have experience writing and implementing training modules to help tutors prepare to provide students with a writing skill set up to the graduate level. I also currently teach Developmental Reading and Writing at a local college. As an educator, my favorite moment during the learning process is seeing a student experience the "ah-ha" moment - when they realize a skill they previously saw as impossible to master is in fact possible!
I graduated from Columbia University in 2016 with a degree in applied mathematics. I work in finance now but have always had a passion for tutoring peers. I've been tutoring for standardized tests such as the SATs, AP subject tests, and ACTs since high school.
I am an NYC-based tutor with many years of tutoring experience in and around the city. I've worked with students from many different backgrounds and ability levels. I believe strongly in the importance of giving a student the confidence to flourish academically.
Highly experienced tutor with diverse subject expertise. Substantial knowledge on standardized test-taking for high school, college, and graduate levels. Fantastic track record for accelerating both group and individual concept-learning and improving student performance expeditiously. A thorough and attentive professional with excellent communication and problem-solving skills who works wonderfully with students to provide an amazing customer experience.
I graduated from UC Berkeley with a Bachelor's in Chemical Biology and have a Masters in Chemistry at Columbia University. I have over 5 years of STEM tutoring experience and 1 year of teaching experience as a graduate student instructor. I have worked with students of all grade levels in various settings. This includes different sized groups from one-on-one to larger classes as well as virtually and in person. I love science, biology and chemistry especially, but math is a close second. My approach to learning is holistic, and I look beyond the grade to making sure that a strong understanding of the subject is achieved. Outside of school, I love listening to music, playing video games, and enjoying the outdoors.
I am a Computer Science-Statistics and Psychology double major at Columbia University. I have been a tutor for three years, specializing in college-bound high school students and middle school children. While I have experience tutoring many subjects, my favorites are Statistics, Mathematics, and Computer Science. I did not discover my passion for these subjects until college (I was admitted to Columbia as pre-law for my writing), and I wish I had been exposed to the fun aspects of these subjects at younger age. Often we are discouraged from science and math while young by phrases like "I'm just not a math person," when the reality is that everybody learns math differently. These subjects are my favorite to tutor because it is incredibly rewarding to facilitate a previously-struggling student's confidence and understanding.
Approaching math and science problems with optimism and desire for learning are key to developing one's mind and skills. More than helping to understand subjects, my goal in tutoring is to transmit desire for the sciences and passion for learning, which I believe is key to learning in the long run.
I am a dedicated educator with over 10 years of experience teaching elementary and special education students. I am passionate about helping every student build confidence, develop strong academic skills, and discover that learning can be both fun and rewarding. My experience includes teaching New York State curriculum standards and specialized reading instruction through Fundations. I also have experience supporting Deaf and hard of hearing students and communicate using American Sign Language (ASL), allowing me to provide accessible, individualized instruction for a diverse range of learners. I believe every student learns differently, so I personalize each tutoring session to match their unique strengths, learning style, and goals. Whether a student needs help mastering foundational reading and math skills, strengthening executive functioning, or building confidence in the classroom, I create engaging, supportive lessons that encourage growth and celebrate progress. My goal is to help students not only achieve academic success but also develop a lifelong love of learning. I look forward to partnering with students and families to create a positive, encouraging learning experience where every child can thrive.
I am a Duke alum currently working toward a Master of Science in Narrative Medicine at Columbia University. As a pre-med student who majored in African and African American Studies, I have experience navigating a variety of disciplines. I also have experience tutoring in a number of subject areas, and have worked with diverse sets of students who have varied in age, grade level, and coursework. I began tutoring almost seven years ago working with disadvantaged students on mathematics. Since then, I have constructed curriculum for a program for middle school girls, and spent a semester training in preparation to be writing tutor at Duke’s writing center which serves graduate and undergraduate students across disciplines. I have a love for learning, and an appreciation for the richness that a interdisciplinary education provides. Helping others better understand their course materials, and, in turn, themselves as life-long learners, is a truly enriching experience.
I received my Bachelor's degree from Penn State and Master's degree from Columbia University, both of them in Actuarial Science. Due to my academic background, I have a very strong foundation in different areas in mathematics, especially statistics. While it is tempting and easy for students to simply want to know and teachers to want to teach "how to solve the problem", I believe that it is very important to understand why the question is solved the way it is. This helps people to understand not only how the problem is solved, but also helps to build their problem solving skills in general. Outside of academia, I enjoy a variety of games, from board games to computer games and also basketball.
I am currently a rising sophomore at Columbia University interested in studying Economics and Psychology. As the oldest sibling (I have a younger brother and sister), I have become the default family "homework helper" over the years. This experience has taught me how to reach younger students in an effective way, be it through fun learning games or real-life examples. Having recently taken both the ACT and SAT multiple times, I am familiar with both exams and know what it takes to do well on them. I am also familiar with the college application process, as I was going through it myself a two years ago. Many rounds of editing my own essays has taught me how to effectively structure both the essays and supplements. I love helping students learn and reinforce concepts they didn't previously understand. I am patient, enthusiastic, and creative--all traits I believe are very important when it comes to being a strong tutor!
I received a BS in Life Sciences and a BS in Spanish from Penn State. As a college senior, I taught weekly didactic recitations and labs in General & Developmental Biology, Biodiversity and Physiology, all of which included scientific writing. For 2 years post-college, I worked as a clinical research assistant at Harvard Medical School before moving to New York to complete my MPH in Epidemiology & Global Health from Columbia. As a graduate student, I was a one-on-one and group tutor for Epidemiology and Biostatistics, the quantitative disciplines of health science. Lastly, I received a PhD in Epidemiology in 2022 as an MD/PhD student. Many of my former students have kept in touch, and since my first teaching experiences, I have always received positive evaluations regarding my personalized commitment to each student, my understanding of science material, and my classroom humor (learning is fun!). This feedback is something that I am proud of and will continue to strive for throughout my career as an educator.Prior to medical school, I spent 7 years working as an epidemiologist with the CDC, global NGOs and Columbia University with a particular expertise in infectious disease and maternal-child health in sub-Saharan Africa. My career demands very strong quantitative skills and competencies in scientific reasoning, and there is nothing I enjoy more than sharing that knowledge with the students whom I tutor and mentor. I have taught multiple graduate-level public health courses at Columbia and Brown, and in my spare time, I like to read, cook and eat various cuisines, travel and maintain a fitness routine.I scored in the 95% overall on the new MCAT (93rd-99th percentile in all 3 science sections), and in the 93rd percentile on my USMLE Step 1 board licensing exam (considered the more "science-y", preclinical exam and most difficult for most test takers. My strong academic background, years of teaching/tutoring/training experience, achievements in scientific research, passion for working with students, and high scores on the GRE and MCAT qualify me to tutor on a wide range of science subjects as well as test taking strategy and study planning, which I believe are the hallmarks of successful test preparation.Throughout many years of science education, I have honed my study skills in ways that have drastically reduced study time while improving my core competencies and test accuracy. More so, I have written several competitive admissions essays and thoroughly enjoyed helping applicants refine their college or graduate school personal statements. My ultimate goal is to pay all of this practical advice forward to the next generation of aspiring scientists, physicians and educators for decades to come!
I received my MS in Applied Mathematics at Columbia University and my BS in Mathematics at New York University. Throughout college and graduate school, I have tutored students from a multitude of backgrounds and helped them along their journey to academic success. Each student has their own path of least resistance, and helping them find the best way to understand a particular subject paves the way for future excellence in all areas of learning. When I'm not working with students, I enjoy playing classical piano and hiking to all the corners of the world.
My passion for teaching and creating outstanding educational opportunities for all students has guided my career. Not only have I worked as a teacher and an advocate, but I have modeled the importance of education by earning three Master's degrees: an MBA from Columbia Business School, an MA in Education Leadership from Teachers College at Columbia University, and an MA in Teaching Adolescent Math from Pace University. My formal teaching experience began in 1999, when I managed and taught reading, writing, and math skills at a tutoring center. From there, I went on to graduate school, which I followed with two years teaching middle and high school math in New York City Public Schools. During graduate school, having scored in the 98th percentile with a perfect writing score, I became certified to teach the GMAT by a private test preparation company, and taught that test to several small classes in Manhattan and Brooklyn.I am in the process of launching a small business. So in my spare time, I want to continue connecting to students by tutoring various subjects from math to English to test prep. As for test prep, I believe that most standardized tests don't test your ability in their stated subjects as much as they do your ability to take those tests. Therefore, it is critically important to teach not just the basic skills, but the ability to succeed on the test as well. I have been very successful in significantly raising students' scores in the past, and I look forward to doing the same for you. When I'm not teaching, my hobbies are skiing, boating, and spending time with my two young boys.
I am a Columbia University alumna who majored in biology. I have experience tutoring geometry, algebra, biology, SAT and other subjects.
In regards to English language, I would be happy to help you with your college application essays. I recently graduated from Cornell University and am current a graduate student in Columbia University's Graduate School for English.Throughout my undergraduate studies, I have helped many students formulate and write their personal statement. Additionally, I have written many of my own personal statements which have helped me gain university admission and scholarship. Therefore, I understand how stressful it can be to write a personal statement and supplementary statements for colleges.I truly believe a well formulated personal statement can make an application stand out and garner momentum to help colleges view the applicant as an individual rather than gpa data. I will make sure your essay reflects your particularity and illustrate what makes you a great fit for [insert dream school name].In regards to mathematics, I have always loved the subject and have tutored maths and physics for over 8 years up to the AP BC calculus level.I believe mathematics is very easy if taught correctly. Teachers and professors who have been teaching a math for many years may grow accustomed to their own teaching styles. Therefore, they may assume that a student remembers a specific concept, and rather than going over said concept, they hastily build upon misunderstood fundamentals. When I was in university, I understand that maths can be challenging for a lot of people because teacher and professors may explain math as if they are talking to other mathematicians. Teachers often do not realized that their students are new to math and are not yet scholars. Please feel free to reach out to me. I look forward to working with you.
To me, physics is the coolest thing ever. I know you may not agree and honestly, I don't blame you. Physics can be pretty tough, and a teacher that doesn't feel like a good match can make matters all the worse, and not to mention boring. But the right teacher can really make a difference. I've been fortunate to have some great teachers, and something they all seem to have in common is a genuine passion for physics. And not only did they love physics, but they also loved sharing physics with others. I love physics too, and back when I started my college career I really wanted to get good at it. At the time I figured what better way to do that than to help others with physics. So I signed up as a tutor in the physics help center, and thus began my life in trying to help people navigate the world of physics. It turns out things worked out pretty well. I got to learn the subject I loved even better, and in the process I also got to help people work out their issues with physics.Aside from my experience as a tutor, I also work as a mechanical engineer. I have worked in the aerospace and railcar industries. I have a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from Columbia University, and a B.S. in Physics from Adelphi University. I have taught college level physics, and have tutored students at both high school and college levels.I've helped a lot of students over the years, which is something I've very much enjoyed. I can't promise you'll love physics as much as I do, but I promise to help you see that it is pretty cool and super useful. And by the way, it turns out that you have to be pretty decent in math to manage physics, so I tutor in that as well!
I'm a graduate of the University of Michigan, with a BA in Environmental Studies and Philosophy. I also recently graduated with a Master of Environmental Management degree from the Yale School of the Environment in May 2020. In earning both of my degrees I gained experience with a mix of writing, humanities, and natural science that's given me a wide breadth of skills to share with students.I've also been accepted to the law schools at NYU, Columbia, and the University of Michigan, among others. I am very, very familiar with the process (and pain) of school applications, and always happy to advise on essays and application approaches.I'm trained in both SAT and LSAT prep, with three years' experience working one-on-one with students in a variety of contexts. I'm dedicated to environmental conservation and climate change advocacy-- hiking and canoeing are two of my favorite ways to spend free time. And if we get a chance to chat, be sure to ask about my bonsai collection!
I'm Aria Hansen, a first-year student majoring in English at Columbia University in the City of New York. I specialize in reading comprehension, language arts, and test prep, in addition to American Sign Language. I love everything from reading and writing to art and music. Being a creative person, although I loved learning, I found it hard to stay engaged with my work when it was taught in a standard way. Therefore, I hope to help my students stay interested in their studies by teaching them in an innovative and interactive manner. I'm passionate about learning, and I want every student to be excited about school.
I received my Bachelor of Arts degree from Columbia University with a concentration in Literature and Writing. In the many years between then and now, I have worked in several different industries, but always stayed very close to the education arena before finally entering education as a career. I come from a family of teachers, both at the elementary, middle school, and college levels, so education has always been a priority for me. I've taught Christian Education, remedial writing to adults, and introductory computer skills to children and adults when desktop computers were just beginning to be commonplace in schools and in people's homes. I've been a private high school administrator and mentor/coordinator for several high school clubs. I've interacted with students from all over the world while working in the high school because we accepted international enrollment and had a robust foreign exchange/study abroad program, so we always had students from Asia, Europe, South America, and Africa on our campus. I am a certified ESL online instructor for students who live here in the U.S., as well as overseas. I'm most proud of the fact that I also home-schooled my own two children for a couple of years, and they both went on to attend top-rated colleges (Cornell University and Mercer University). The subjects I tutor are ESL, reading, writing, basic language arts skills, and History. I believe the ability to communicate well is integral in today's society. Both native and non-native English speakers need good English speaking and writing skills to reach their goals and find success in their lives.
College undergraduate studying Chemical Engineering at Columbia. Tutoring in AP Physics (1, 2, C), AP calc (AB & BC), first year college physics and math. I'm bilingual; my first language is Spanish.
I am a recent graduate from a masters program in biostatistics at Columbia University. I received my Bachelor of Arts in biological sciences, with a focus in neurobiology at Northwestern University. In August, I will be starting a doctoral program in biostatistics at NYU. I was a teaching assistant at Columbia University in my department and also have tutored graduate students and undergraduates privately as well. My primary areas of tutoring are math and statistics coursework in addition to math sections on standardized tests such as the GRE and GMAT. I am very passionate about helping students feel more confident and excited about math. In my spare time, I enjoy running, playing piano, and spending time with friends and family.
I recently graduated summa cum laude and Phi Beta Kappa from Columbia University with a Bachelor of Arts in Linguistics. I scored exceptionally well on my SAT and earned a perfect score in the writing section. At Columbia, I took a wide variety of courses in areas ranging from computer science, calculus, and statistics to philosophy and political theory. My previous teaching and mentoring experiences include working as a volunteer math tutor at Columbia’s Double Discovery Center and as an editor at the Columbia Daily Spectator and The Columbia Undergraduate Research Journal. As a tutor, I aim to be organized, clear, concise, and patient. I'm looking forward to working with you!
I'm an undergraduate at Columbia University in New York City, and from this you might think that Varsity has put my profile in the wrong city. They most certainly have not: I am a Houstonian, born and raised, and I'm back in my hometown for the summer. Last year in New York, I worked with Elementary schoolers, helping with preparation for New York State Math and English exams. This summer, I'm looking forward to helping with test-prep for all ages. With the help of some excellent teachers, I myself scored a perfect 2400 on the SAT, helping me get into Columbia, one of the most prestigious universities in the country. Since then, I've wanted to join that elite corps, to help other students conquer standardized testing, complete the college application process, and go further on the road to achieving their dreams. At Columbia, I study Computer Science, but I also have a great passion for the sciences, math, and literature. I enjoy Chemistry and Physics, am very comfortable in math from Pre-Algebra all the way through Calculus I, and have gathered some great insight about the sort of writing that is expected from America's top universities. I love learning of all sorts, and hope to be able to share some of that passion this summer! When I'm not preparing for classes, I enjoy reading the classics, learning new programming languages, and exploring the two wonderful cities I'm so privileged to split my time between.
I invest in my students to facilitate their investment in themselves. I encourage a growth mindset; (taking) ownership of material; and feedback which is clear, concise but detailed, and candid but respectful of students' autonomy, dignity, and integrity. I firmly believe that education is critical to human maturity and am passionate about helping my students to see what is at stake - for us as human - in the humanities and social sciences.and, yes, even the LSAT! I welcome especially LSAT students. An aspiring lawyer (or, actually, if I am lucky enough, law professor), I will apply to law school in fall 2026. I have been studying seriously for the LSAT since fall of 2023 and have taken the LSAT three times (new one twice). I am preparing intensively to do so again in early 2026. I received a 172 on the August 2025 exam. I am passionate about sharing with my students my accumulated insights in taking on the LSAT. I specialize also in six AP social science & humanities courses: European History, Macroeconomics & Microeconomics, US Government and Politics, US History, and World History (Modern). I have worked with numerous students for each and am thoroughly familiar with the curricula and the exams. I am especially interested in helping students see, very concretely, how deeply ideas shape our world; and in improving their spoken and written expression. Last - interested seriously in the philosophy of Martin Heidegger and American constitutional interpretation, I welcome the opportunity to work with college students taking courses in these or closely related subjects. I majored in political science at UVA (B.A., 2010). I then received an M.A. (2012) and an M.Phil. (2014) in philosophy at Columbia. As a PhD student at Columbia, I served as teaching assistant for or taught numerous courses in these fields. I also taught in the university's pre-college program 2017-2023. I prefer **very strongly** to work with students who want to meet at least once a week on most weeks. The less often you want to meet, the better-served you would be by a tutor other than me.
I've completed a Master of Public Health in Biostatistics (SUNY Downstate), a Bachelor of Arts in Biology (Columbia University), and currently work as a forensic biologist at the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner in New York City. I am passionate about tutoring the ACT, high school math, biology, and English. My greatest ACT tutoring success story was increasing a student's overall score from a 23 to a 28 in a matter of 8 weeks during the summer of 2015. Ideally, I would like to tutor students preparing for the ACT and advise them as they prepare to apply to college.
I love to teach and have done it most of my life. While in high school,I volunteered to tutor fellow students who needed help, especially in Math,Science, and French. While attending graduate school at Princeton, I was ateaching assistant for undergraduates. During more than twenty years of clinical practice, I taught medical students and I have always gotten excellent evaluations from my students. I majored in Physics for my Bachelor's degree from Columbia. I received my Doctorate degree from University of Pennsylvania. I believe I can make all subjects I tutor more interesting for my students. I am a patient and calm person and easy to get along with. I have two grown children of my own whom I have tutored from time to time. I look forward to meeting you.
I'm currently a student at Columbia University studying Economics. Before I switched majors halfway thru my sophomore year, I was a pre-med student. I love still being a college student because all these classes are still fresh in my mind! I've also been tutoring for 3+ years in everything from high school math and science to standardized tests and because of that, I'm confident that you'll experience fast improvement (not to mention a relaxed atmosphere).Outside of tutoring, I'm usually recording music or hanging out with friends. Hip-hop/r&b is my favorite genre; I mostly produce but there are times when I rap/sing on another artist's track.
I am a rising junior at Columbia University and am working toward a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science (with a focus in International Politics and American Politics) and History. For the past several years, I have volunteered as an English as a second language (ESL) tutor for adult immigrants, assisted high school students with college essay supplements, and most recently tutored Spanish, History, and English to underprivileged Latinx students in the Bronx. Drawing on each of these experiences, I am most passionate about tutoring Spanish and essay writing. I am half-Salvadorian and love connecting with Spanish culture especially by communicating and speaking the language with others. Regarding essay writing, I enjoy raising questions about texts, analyzing themes, and assessing authors' decisions whether that be sentence structure, character development, or plot twists. My teaching philosophy revolves around listening, patience, creating opportunities for students to ask questions, and sharing my own experiences related to academia with students. I am most eager to help students on this platform because I desire to work with students one-on-one and serve as a catalyst for their personal growth and achievement of their goals. In my free time, I enjoy reading biographies and international relations pieces, watching and playing sports with friends, trying out new cuisines in New York City, and traveling.
I'm a graduate of Columbia University with a B.A. in History. I'm passionate about history and English, but I'm a competent math tutor as well. I have received outstanding scores on my SAT and AP tests, and am confident in my ability to pass on these skills to the next generation.Whether it's standardized testing or academic tutoring, I am happy to help students reach their goals and achieve their highest potential.
My teaching philosophy is contained in a single sentence:"A teacher affects eternity -- he or she can never tell where his or her influence stops."Henry Adams
I am a recent graduate of Columbia University currently working as a freelance writer and tutor while also maintaining a part-time job as a foreign sub-editor at "The Viet Nam News" as a Princeton in Asia fellow.I have benefited from the privilege of good teachers throughout my life, and I believe that the best way to account for that privilege is to do my best to be a good teacher to others.

They've gone through their own applications and can offer insight into what selective colleges look for, how to strengthen your academic foundation, and how to approach challenging coursework that will strengthen your profile. While tutors focus primarily on academic instruction, their direct experience at a top university can provide valuable context as you prepare for the next stage of your education.
