Hello my name is Pruthvi and I am a recent graduate from the University of Central Florida with a Bachelors Degree in Health Sciences. While pursuing my undergraduate degree, I found a passion for teaching and tutoring. In college I was given the opportunity to tutor a wide range of ages from elementary to undergraduate college students. Because of this I am exposed to the many different teaching styles used on students such as visual, auditory, reading/writing, and kinesthetic to help them understand the course material. I am also passionate about Chemistry, Biology and other science courses. I have been taking college level courses since high school so I understand how nerve racking it might be to learn the material, but I am able to break down the concepts and lectures into something more comprehensive and simpler to understand. I try to make professional personal connections with the students so they do not just see me as a tutor, but rather a friend or a colleague. It is important to me that students enjoy what they are learning and understand how important education. I find it most effective to use personal experiences and utilize technology to create a more comfortable learning space. I look forward to working with you. If you have any questions please feel free to contact me.

I am a UCF graduate Summa Cum Laude with a 4.0 GPA! I graduated with a degree in Health Sciences Pre-Clinical. I am currently in the middle of applying to medical school. I am here to help and have previous tutor experience! I was a Supplemental Instruction leader at UCF, where I instructed students on General Chemistry and Organic Chemistry. Although I primarily have tutored at the collegiate level, I feel comfortable teaching at both undergraduate and primary school levels. I feel more comfortable in STEM courses but can tutor English and ACT Reading as well.My tutoring style varies depending on the individual. Before I start tutoring someone, I have a short discussion with them about who they are and what they want. This allows me to adapt my teaching style to effectively meet and exceed the needs of each student. I look forward to working with you!

I believe that learning should be a fun and interactive experience. Having a vast array of experience in different educational platforms myself, one factor remains the same; students want to enjoy learning. In order for that process to take place, I like to be creative in the lesson and promote higher-order thinking. Rote memorization is not the key to overall content comprehension but rather the ability to understand the topic in a meaningful way in order to apply it in a real world platform' that is the success that I seek from the student- teacher mentorship.A little about me:In my free time I enjoy reading philosophy and writing my own political dissertations about currentpolitics. I am a recent graduate from the University of Central Florida with a master's in economics, a bachelor's in mathematics and a bachelor's in economics. My goal is to help students achieve their class goals in my free time.I started tutoring back in 2017 when I got a job tutoring economics with Valencia College. After a year of tutoring I left to pursue internship opportunities, but found myself back in the tutoring field when I started my master's degree. Ever since, I've learned that I love helping students and seeing that light bulb moment in their eyes is a great feeling. Having two full years of tutoring experience I've learned the different ways that helps students learn and look forward to learning even more ways to help. While I enjoy tutoring economics the most, I have experience tutoring math as well as statistics. These three subjects are at the core of what I do for work outside of tutoring and helping students understand these subjects is a passion of mine, plus it keeps me on top of my game. When I'm not tutoring or working I like to play video games on my computer, fishing at the beach, and playing board games with my friends.

I am fortunate; I get to do the best job in the world. While teaching is my second career, it was always what I wanted to do. When I graduated from college, I was offered a position with my college's admissions and marketing office, where I had been working to put myself through school. It was a tremendous opportunity, and launched an eighteen-year career helping high school students make important decisions about their futures, and navigate an often complex admissions and financial aid system. I loved working with students, being around bright, engaging people, and doing work that made a difference. But each time I walked through a high school to present a workshop on writing college essays or preparing for college interviews, I was reminded of how deeply I still wanted to be in a classroom. So I took the plunge, and now spend my days teaching social studies to great students at a great school. I have taught world history, American history, sociology, psychology, economics, and even developed a high school course in teaching for students seeking a career in education. I am passionate about understanding how the past has shaped the present, and helping students recognize their critical role in protecting and preserving democracy. In addition to teaching course curricula, I work with students on writing skills, standardized test preparation, and college essays, because all of these skills will help them reach their academic goals. As a teacher, I believe that it is critical to help students develop the ability to regulate their own learning, and implement meta-cognitive strategies that will serve them in college and beyond. When I'm not teaching, I am a mom to a high school sophomore, a long-distance mom to two college students, a gardener who grows lots of organic vegetables, and an avid reader of anything historical. If I can help you in a specific subject area, or with essays, test preparation, or homework support, either face-to-face or on-line, let me know!

I am also in the accelerated BS-MS CS program at UCF, meaning I am completing my Bachelor's and Master's at the same time and will graduate with both in 2026. I was a student with Varsity Tutors in high school and completed SAT and Calculus tutoring through the program. It was with my tutors that I was shown the difference tutoring can make in someone's life and was encouraged to tutor students as part of my school's chapter of Mu Alpha Theta (Math National Honor Society) and Science National Honor Society. Additionally, I was a teacher assistant at the Museum of Science and History for their Discovery Camp program focusing on STEAM-based (science, technology, engineering and math) activities. I am passionate about teaching computer science classes and helping students find the joy in the intricacies of code. Computer classes go hand in hand with math and as I have completed Calculus 3 and Matrix and Linear Algebra, I enjoy teaching students the logic and theory behind advanced computations. I find the best way to teach students is to begin with a short lesson/refresher and complete examples in the I Do, We Do, You Do format. In my spare time, I love to go on walks with my cats Lovely and Ammu (they are harness trained), foster kittens, read, bike, and paint.

I feel very passionate about teaching mathematics! In fact, I can't imagine myself teaching any other subject. I have been teaching math for over 20 years now, and have been doing private tutoring during those years as well. I believe I have the ability to take difficult topics and explain them in very easy to understand manner, and I can also reteach topics in a number of other ways. It is my goal for each one of my students to thoroughly understand the topics we study together, and I won't stop until they do.When I am not teaching or tutoring, I enjoy spending time with my husband of 26 years, digital scrapbooking or visiting our daughters at college. When I tell people what I do, I feel a light inside me as I describe all the different kinds of students I get to work with, the way I get to help people solve problems, and how, in my subject of English/ Reading, I get to help people understand a deeper meaning of the written word. I have been in the classroom teaching for about 2 and a half years. I started my career right out of college at the University of Central Florida with a degree in English Literature and a minor in Education. From there, I have obtained my ESOL Endorsement and Reading Endorsement in order to better prepare myself in trying to reach all types of learners. My experience is going to be best served helping students in grades 6-12 who have any concerns in their reading and English classes/ skill set, foundational skills, and test prep for English and reading related assessments. My biggest teaching philosophy is that all students can, and will, learn. It may not be at the same time, it may not be in the same way, but I truly do believe that all students can learn. I have met so many amazing students and a lot of times, they do not realize how talented of a reader or writer they are. But, by my philosophy, they will be able to learn how to be confident in themselves in learning new skills.
