Today was much improved! After a slow start, the student began to pick up the trig functions quickly. She was able to apply them to all of her homework all by herself. She only got stuck in a few places and we worked through them relatively quickly. She and I plan to meet again, next week, on Tuesday and Thursday!

Pre-Calculus Tutoring review by Ih-Ren in Taylorsville, UT
We went over problems like how to find the average changing rate of a function over a closed interval. The student needed to do the same type of problems repetitively before he felt confident, which takes time. We also covered problems about the domain and range of a function given in graph. He initially had a hard time to identify domain and range. I made up some problems to help him distinguish the two sets, and he understood it better.
