Today we covered the distributive property and substitution. Student A had a great grasp of all the concepts but would make a small mistake here and there. Student S did well too. However, when the answer doesn't come to her immediately, she begins to doubt herself and gets down. She improved as the session went along and became more and more confident. Lastly, I gave them strategies on how to approach distributive questions that asked the student to place the parenthesizes.

We went through several problems determining whether a sequence diverged or converged and to what value if it did converge. We used several techniques, including simply taking the limit of the formula for the sequence terms, the sandwich theorem, and comparison tests. We looked at raising a rational function to the nth power, rational functions with arctangent and natural logarithm functions, and various power and exponential functions. We also considered alternating sequences and geometric sequences.
