Tutoring review by Thien--Gia in Aberdeen, MD
We covered fractions and division in this session. We started her off by teaching her how to add fractions together, and then we delved into simplification just for a moment. Her mother requested that I test her on her ability to do word problems, and that led to the discovery that she still struggled with division. In response to that, I produced some division problems for her, and we worked through them. In the end, I left some practice problems for her to do.

Specifically, we covered the conversion from linear to rotational frame, torque, rotational inertia, angular momentum and its conservation, and the parallel axis theorem. She seemed to follow along, but may need more practice with these problems.

Tutoring review by Jason in Aberdeen, MD
During this session, we went over the difference between congruence and similarity in shapes; setting up proportions; dilations; AA, SSS, and SAS conjectures that prove similarity between triangles; solving for sides or angles in shapes that are similar; and special properties of triangles, including altitudes, angle bisectors, medians, and perpendicular bisectors. We also went over the points in which they meet- circumcenters, incenters, and orthocenters. We then reviewed circumducted and inscribed shapes. We finished by touching on chemistry and working on the student's lab homework- specifically chemical bonding. He grasps concepts fairly quickly and just requires repetition to really make things automatic when problem solving. We worked through numerous examples to make sure he was understanding concepts. Next session, we will primarily work on chemistry.
