As a graduate of the University of Texas of El Paso with a Bachelor's in Science in Cellular and Molecular Biochemistry with a diverse and multidisciplinary experience in STEM research. Published an article on a self-regenerating Hydrogel for the absorption and degradation of antibiotics in hospital effluent and have also worked on synthesizing Cholesterol analogs to study the function of several enzymes in Mycobacterium tuberculosis, which I had the opportunity of testing myself. During the 2020-2022 COVID-19 lockdown, I cloned, expressed and purified Nsp10:Nsp16 Sars-CoV-2 Enzyme complex to test against several ligands of interest for therapeutic interests. I have also worked as a scribe and can build on prior experience as a Vice-President for a Pre-Medical Student club in my Undergraduate days and can provide some peer-to-peer career advice to Pre-Med and Pre-Science students or students interested in those career paths. I also take great pride in using a flipped classroom approach one-on-one to help students not only become better students, but also to help there own peers learn material typically difficult to digest.

I hold a Bachelor's degree in Organizational Communication and Public Relations and a Master's degree in Education with an emphasis on reading education from the University of Texas at El Paso. With over 8 years of experience working with k-12 children in various disciplines including reading and writing- I believe in empowering learners through encouragement and positive mentorship. For the last 5 years I've worked with veterans and people with disabilities to strengthen their organizational and life skills training to maintain and improve quality work performance in writing, business, and reading domains. I enjoy creating lesson plans that involves experiential learning where the student feels they are making progress and are motivated to engage in learning independently. My philosophy on teaching is that it is a creative and collaborative process that starts with the teacher meeting the student where student's are and presenting dynamic yet effective ways to reach their potential. Teaching is social and calls for building a relationship based on mutual respect, sharing ideas and organizing and clarifying goals. I take great pleasure in assisting others to overcome challenges in mathematics. I hold a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics from the University of Texas at El Paso and a Master of Science from Indiana State University. My extensive experience includes solving problems in Calculus, Algebra, Trigonometry, Geometry, and Basic Math. This depth of knowledge allows me to effectively address a wide range of mathematical issues. I am known for my patience and ability to explain complex class material clearly. My academic background and practical experience have equipped me with the skills necessary to help students understand and excel in mathematics. I am dedicated to providing clear and thorough explanations to ensure that anyone I assist can grasp even the most challenging concepts.

I've been a teacher for 9 years and I currently teach 5th grade math. I love teaching and helping students succeed. This past semester I attain 90% Approaches, 60% Meets and 29% Masters on their 5th Grade Math Semester Exam. The past two years on STAAR, my students have attained 83% passing (over 120 students tested).

I graduated from South Texas College where I received my Associates Degree in Spanish. I have also received another certification of Medical Administrative Technology. I have been working with students at a school district. Helping with non-speaking English students and students learning to read in write in Spanish. As well in any other subject like for example in math. In my experience helping the students is fun we are always learning different ways to learn. I've gotten to work with a big and one on one. I am passionate about helping students achieve.

A little bit on my background: I have my Master's in Electrical Engineering with a focus in Signal and Image Processing. Some of my academic research topics are in satellite imagery, polymer-gas interactions, 3D printing, machine and deep learning, and Simulated Transmission Electron Microscope imagery. I have worked as a Data Science/ Computer Vision contractor in many industries including entertainment, healthcare, and real estate.

I have worked as a tutor, teacher, and mentor in higher education for 16 years; and I began to work with students of all ages in 2011. I earned an undergraduate degree in English with two minors: Biology and Intercultural Studies. I earned a master's degree in English and American literature with a research focus on contemporary narratives of slavery, the history of slavery and its forced diaspora, and utopian and dystopian sociology. Lastly, I have PhD coursework experience with a research focus on training writing tutors. I tutor a variety of subjects, but my favorites are reading/literature and writing. I believe every student already possesses a wealth of talent, knowledge, and skills. Hello! I am a student at the University of Texas at El Paso working towards my BS in Physics. Throughout the week if I am not studying I am in class as a teaching assistant. As a teaching assistant for 2 years, I have improved my ability to help students in need of tutoring in subjects that I am proficient in. Those subjects include math and physics up to a college level. One of my favorite things to experience as a tutor is watching the progress a student makes, and the accomplishment they feel after understanding a concept they were struggling with.

All students possess the capacity to acquire knowledge when provided with the necessary opportunities. As an educator with seventeen years of experience, I hold a bachelor's degree in education and a master's degree in the Science of Education. My expertise lies in English language arts and reading, as well as Special Education. Throughout my career, I have taught students across all grade levels, from pre-kindergarten to high school. My certifications include early childhood to 6th grade in all subjects and Spanish from beginner to advanced. I hold a Texas Principal Certification from Angelo State University. I was named LULAC Chapter Bilingual Teacher of the Year for the 2018-2019 school year, Campus Teacher of the Year for 2019-2020, and Campus Teacher of the Year for the 2020-2021 school year. In 2023, I was awarded the recognition of Master Teacher by the Texas Education Agency (TEA). I have participated in decision-making committees in collaboration with TEA to help develop appropriate testing materials for students. In my free time, I love reading, cooking, jogging, and, most importantly, spending time with my family. I am married, and have two children.
