In 2013, I graduated from Gonzaga University with a Bachelor of Arts in International Relations and a minor in French with a focus on Geopolitical History. Since graduation, I have been enrolled in the JD/MBA program at Willamette University College of Law, as well as Willamette's Atkinson Graduate School of Management. I have always loved helping my teammates and classmates learn and understand any issue we happen upon, from French conjugation to the economic shortfalls of the former Soviet Union. I am deeply interested in History, Literature, and Politics. Upon the completion of my graduate work, I hope to earn a commission as a JAG officer in the Armed Forces. In high school, I was a 3 sport Varsity Athlete captaining my football team freshman and senior years, as well as being a wrestler and track runner. I played Rugby for Gonzaga during my undergraduate career, and many of my hobbies today involve athletics and the outdoors such as hiking and skiing.

I have been a teacher for over 15 years in the beautiful state of VA. I have taught several grades, from 2nd to 8th grade. I love to teach, and I think the best part is sharing my knowledge over a variety of subjects and making connections to previous experiences or existing background knowledge. I tutor in all subjects: math, history, science, and language arts - in grades K-8. I believe that teaching includes building interest and engagement with students. When they are interested in the topic, they are more willing to participate, ask questions, and ultimately master the content.
As a dedicated educator with a Master in Teaching in Secondary Math from Gonzaga University, I am passionate about helping students deepen their understanding of and work towards success in math. With four years of tutoring experience, I focus on creating a supportive and engaging learning environment tailored to each student's unique needs. My teaching philosophy centers on fostering critical thinking and problem-solving skills while building confidence in math. I believe that every student has the potential to succeed, and I strive to make learning enjoyable and accessible. Outside of tutoring, I enjoy exploring math-related puzzles and challenges, reading fantasy novels and crafting.
I have a M.S. in Biomedical Engineering and a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering. I have been tutoring for 2 years and I really enjoy it. Math and Science are my favorite subjects and I am excited to help anyone understand these concepts.
I have always loved math. I chose it as my major in college, and I have spent the last nine years tutoring students in my community in all levels of math. Working with students has only increased my appreciation for this subject. I try to get beyond the "when am I ever going to use this?" question and show students that we are practicing attention to detail, logical thinking, and accurately executing a process, which are skills that will be valuable no matter where life leads.
I recently graduated from college with a double-major in History and English Literature. I have significant tutoring experience and aspire to pursue an M.Ed in Secondary Education in the near future. I have a great passion for the humanities and consider education a remarkable gift and privilege which empowers its recipients to transform the world through their knowledge and ability to improve the lives of others. I myself am incredibly blessed to have been given the educational opportunities I've had, and am inspired to become the transformative educator for others that so many have been for me in my life. I would be more than happy to provide my services and look forward to working with you soon!
Hello! My name is Ryan. I was born and raised in Casper, Wyoming, but I have been all around the country and world since then. I studied economics and international business at Gonzaga University in Washington state, interned in South Africa and Washington D.C., was a Peace Corps volunteer in the Dominican Republic, and won a Fulbright grant to go to Mexico. I am about to begin an MBA program at Vanderbilt University.I recognize how fortunate I've been to have these opportunities, but I also know that they exist for anyone dedicated enough to pursue them. I am passionate in helping spark the inspiration to do something amazing and help cultivate it.I am fluent in Spanish (and extremely familiar with all of the various colloquialisms that exist in various countries), extremely passionate about history and Latin American culture, and well-versed in economics and business.
Hi! My name is Monique C. Baisden and I am a former certified teacher in the states of Georgia and Tennessee. I graduated summa cum laude with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Early Childhood Education from Clark Atlanta University. As an experienced teacher and tutor, my experiences have taught me that no student is the same and each student is different and learns differently. Therefore, I create interactive, engaging, and fun lessons for my students that cater to how they learn best.
I am pursuing a B.S. in Biology at the University of Washington with the goal of attending medical school. I have been an assistant teacher for an entry-level biology lab class and have tutored college students in general chemistry. I believe in building students' confidence and fostering deeper learning to foster a healthier relationship between students and school-related subjects.
I have a Bachelor's Degree in Spanish from Gonzaga University. I also completed minors in Math, German, and Philosophy. I have been a tutor for seventeen years, and many of my clients were seen while I was still in school myself. My passion for tutoring comes from a desire to share the knowledge I have and to help others discover their potential for learning. While I have tutored many subjects in my career, including all those listed in my college curriculum, my favorite is Math. Whether it's Arithmetic, Algebra, or Calculus, I love being able to help students understand how to manipulate numbers and solve problems. Some of my preferred teaching methods include visual aids, providing supplemental literature, incorporating music in language studies, and simply teaching through repetition with immediate feedback. I am a firm believer in every student having their own learning style, and I truly enjoy working within the style of each student I encounter. My greatest success stories were students who made me think outside the box with different approaches to instruction. When I'm not working, I enjoy crocheting, traveling, and listening to a variety of music. I also appreciate a good hiking trail, a well-written novel, and a variety of dance forms from ballroom to Scottish Dance.
As I near the end of my rewarding 37-year teaching career, I am excited to focus my efforts on tutoring students in public speaking and acting. With a Master's degree in Communication and Leadership Studies from Gonzaga University and a Bachelor's in Speech and Theatre Education from Elmhurst College, I bring over 5 years of tutoring experience, dedicated to empowering students to discover their unique voices and build confidence. My student-centered approach emphasizes personalized learning, ensuring that I meet each individual where they are, whether they are beginners or seeking to enhance their advanced skills. I am passionate about creating a nurturing environment that fosters creativity and growth, and I look forward to guiding students in the fine arts as they prepare for success both on stage and in life.
I decided to pursue tutoring to help spread my love and understanding of science, specifically chemistry. I have had experience tutoring at the high school and undergraduate level in chemistry and math. I hope to continue strengthening my tutoring skills and help you succeed in your studies. I'm best able to help my students when they share lecture slides or practice problems they're struggling with.
