What topics or skills can be covered during San Francisco-Bay Area NCLEX prep opportunities?
The NCLEX exam length and format can vary per student because the exam uses Computer Adaptive Testing (CAT). CAT adjusts the exam as you go depending on how well you're doing. Each time you answer a new question, the computer has a better idea of your particular ability. It will then give you a question you have a 50% chance of getting correct. This method of testing gives a more accurate picture of your potential and ensures your exam is not too easy or too difficult. Due to the CAT, the number and type of questions will vary based on the student's performance. Questions can be multiple-choice, fill-in-the-blank, ordered responses, or hot spots. If you're taking the NCLEX-RN, you have a maximum of 6 hours to complete your test. The NCLEX-PN is allotted a maximum of 5 hours for test-takers to finish. Many candidates do not need the entire amount of time to complete the exam.
A large portion of the NCLEX for both RN and PN versions requires you to understand the potential health needs of your clients. With proper NCLEX prep, you can receive excellent review lessons on topics such as creating a safe and effective care environment or health promotion and maintenance. You also be able to receive lessons on the topics of psychosocial and physiological integrity. You'll need to showcase your abilities and knowledge of the nursing process, communication, documentation, teaching/learning, culture, and spirituality.
In addition, you'll also need to demonstrate retention of the content you would have learned in social science, biological science, and physical science in the courses you would have taken in a higher education setting such as San Francisco State University or San Jose State University.

You'll sign into these live classes on a live virtual learning environment, bringing instruction to your favorite place to study, as long as you have access to a computer and internet.
If you prefer more independence and the ability to have some control over the lessons, you may wish to work with a San Francisco-Bay Area NCLEX tutor. This opportunity allows you to receive customized lessons based on your goals, personality, strengths, weaknesses, and the method of learning you prefer. You can also move at your own pace, enabling you to completely skip over the material you already know and focus on the content you need to review for further understanding.
