If you're interested in taking a Salt Lake City NCLEX course but aren't sure how to find the best one available, Varsity Tutors has you covered. Our Salt Lake City NCLEX prep course covers everything you'll want to know on exam day, including all of the academic concepts you can expect to see plus proven test-taking strategies you can fall back on if you're feeling stumped.
The NCLEX is a cumulative standardized exam that assesses whether an entry-level nurse has the skills required to adequately perform their professional duties. Everything you've studied at a local nursing program like the one offered at the University of Utah could appear on the test, so you have a lot of material to review. If you're feeling slightly overwhelmed, know that you don't need to do this on your own. Contact us today for more information on how to get expert assistance with your test prep.
What subjects can I review in a Salt Lake City NCLEX class?
Contrary to what you may think, there are actually two separate NCLEX exams. The first is called the NCLEX-RN and is taken by individuals looking for certification as a Registered Nurse (RN). The second is the NCLEX-PN and is intended for those interested in Vocational or Practical Nursing. Despite this differentiation, many of the same topics appear on both tests. For example, you'll be tested on techniques for keeping patients comfortable, mitigating the spread of infection, health maintenance, pharmacological therapies, and psychosocial integrity on both tests. You may also need to watch a video or listen to a recording in order to answer some of the test items. If you want firsthand experience of what this might be like, your instructor can provide sample questions for you to work on.
Many students enroll in a Salt Lake City NCLEX class to develop a familiarity with the formatting of the test. Both versions of the NCLEX are Computerized-Adapted, meaning that you take it on a special computer that selects items based on your performance thus far. If you're doing well, the questions get trickier. If you're having a harder time, they get easier. Some students are thrown off by this, but thankfully your instructor can teach you ways to mitigate this.
What are a few of the advantages provided by a Salt Lake City NCLEX course?
Every course we provide entails a number of students meeting with a knowledgeable instructor on our exclusive Live Learning Platform. We thoroughly vet every teacher, so you can count on a passionate instructor with a great deal of knowledge about the NCLEX. Any questions you ask can be addressed quickly and accurately as a result.
Our proprietary Live Learning Platform is also a benefit of taking our courses. This online classroom software utilizes cool features such as a virtual whiteboard and video chat capabilities to provide the benefits of taking a physical class without the annoyance of sitting in traffic. Our platform is also mobile-friendly, allowing you to attend a course from anywhere with a strong internet connection.
Many students also benefit from studying in a collaborative group setting. If you're having a hard time remembering standard safety procedures, hearing one of your classmates explain it in a different way may make it easier for you to recall them. Similarly, you might try your hand at teaching one of your new friends to reinforce your knowledge of the material. You might even complete group assignments to learn different perspectives for tackling a particular problem.
Studying in a group also provides outstanding value for your money. If you ever feel as though you could benefit from personalized attention to overcome an especially stubborn learning obstacle, you can also arrange private extra help sessions with your instructor on an as-needed basis.
Varsity Tutors understands how busy you are, so we've designed all of our products with your scheduling needs in mind. We offer multiple NCLEX courses simultaneously, including two-week and four-week options to accommodate a variety of different itineraries. Likewise, we launch new courses on a monthly basis so that you never need to wait too long to get started.
