If you're interested in taking a thorough Kansas City NCLEX prep course to help you embark on an exciting career in nursing, Varsity Tutors can enroll you in one of the best courses around. The NCLEX is a high-stakes assessment administered in order to give Nursing Regulatory Bodies an objective idea of whether an entry-level nursing candidate has the skills required in order to carry out their job functions. The National Council of State Boards of Nursing, Inc. (NCSBN) actually administers two different exams: the NCLEX-RN for Registered Nurses and the NCLEX-PN for Vocational or Practical Nurses.
Enrolling in our Kansas City NCLEX class can assist your test prep for either exam. You'll meet with an expert teacher and a group of dedicated students at a set time each week to review academic concepts and test-taking strategies to help you feel as prepared as possible on exam day. Contact us for more information today, or continue reading to discover more about the services we offer.
Which topics are typically covered in a Kansas City NCLEX course?
While the NCLEX is split into two separate exams, topics such as infection control, patient comfort, pharmacological therapies, health promotion, and physiological adaptation appear on both tests. If you have any questions about any of these topics, your instructor will be a valuable source of reliable information about them. The NCLEX also has multimedia components such as audio, video, and graphs for you to interpret, so your instructor might provide sample problems to help you feel more comfortable with these mediums.
Many students also enroll in a Kansas City NCLEX class to get a feel for the structure of the exam. Both versions of the NCLEX utilize Computerized-Adaptive Technology, or CAT, which means that you take the test on a computer that selects questions based on your performance. If you're answering everything correctly, questions get harder. If you've missed a few, they get easier. It can be hard not to think about how you might be doing as you take the test, but doing so is likely to get in your way. Instead, your instructor can show you how to concentrate on the question in front of you rather than trying to deduce whether you answered the previous item correctly.
What advantages does a Kansas City NCLEX course provide?
Each course consists of an expert teacher meeting with a group of students on our exclusive Live Learning Platform. We thoroughly interview each instructor before we allow them to teach a course, so you can count on a passionate teacher who understands how to share NCLEX knowledge with students like you.
Our Live Learning Platform also utilizes cool features like video chat functionality to make you feel as if you're in the same classroom as your instructor. As such, asking for help is as easy as raising your hand even though everything takes place online. Our online classroom also works on mobile devices, allowing you to take out your tablet or smartphone at University of Missouri - Kansas City, a bookstore, or even the privacy of your own home to attend a session.
You are also free to interact with your fellow students on our proprietary platform, creating a collaborative atmosphere that many students find conducive to the learning process. For instance, let's say you're having a hard time remembering which drugs are suitable treatments for which maladies. One of your classmates may share a great memorization trick to make it easier for you. You can also complete group assignments to try thinking of problems in new ways, potentially expanding your knowledge base in the process.
Working in a group setting also delivers superior value for your money. If you ever feel like you need additional assistance, you may also arrange private study sessions with your instructor for extra help on an as-needed basis.
We also strive to help as many students as possible to pursue their educational goals with products designed with busy students in mind. We offer several course sessions concurrently, including both two-week and four-week options to help you find a fit for your schedule. New courses also launch on a monthly basis, so you never need to wait too long before getting to work.
