What can Pittsburgh GMAT prep cover?
The GMAT involves Analytical Writing, Integrated Reasoning, Verbal Reasoning, and Quantitative Reasoning. Many business and management programs worldwide use it as part of the college admission process. Because it's computer-based, you don't have to bring any of your own materials. You have to be fluent in English, be at least 18 years old, and be a college graduate to take the test. Let's take a detailed look at each section.
The Analytical Writing assessment consists of a 30-minute writing task. It has an argument that you have to critique, and you need to support your response with evidence. This section measures your ability to write and analyze well. You'll earn between 0 to 6 points.
The Integrated Reasoning portion has 12 questions, each split into multiple parts. It covers table analysis, multi-source reasoning, graphics interpretation, and two-part analysis. Your job is to interpret and evaluate data presented in formats like spreadsheets, emails, and charts. It has a half-hour time limit, and you'll earn 1 to 8 points.
The Verbal Reasoning portion contains 36 questions involving critical reasoning, sentence correction, and reading comprehension. It assesses your reading, grammar, and logic skills. You have to complete it in 65 minutes, and you'll earn 0 to 60 points.
The Quantitative Reasoning portion consists of 31 questions covering problem-solving and data sufficiency. They deal with math topics that you studied in high school, like plane geometry and basic algebra. It has a time limit of 62 minutes, and you'll earn 0 to 60 points.

If you want one-on-one attention with a tutor, we can set you up with someone who highly-skilled in their niche. Since an instructor offers a flexible schedule, we can find someone who can meet when you're available to focus on your particular needs. An educator can also conduct lessons in ways that align with your personal learning style. You can benefit from learning materials that match your learning preferences, like videos, charts, or other learning tools. A private mentor can even explain something at a pace that makes you comfortable. They can try different explanations if you find it hard to comprehend something or speed it up if you understand a topic already and want to move to new material. Private sessions give you the opportunity to build good study habits, which could serve you well in a business program. For example, if you want to learn how to be better organized, they can suggest you purchase labels or color-coded folders for your notes. All you need to do is ask, and an instructor can help you in any way necessary.
You may like a Pittsburgh GMAT prep class if you prefer studying in group settings. During your years in high school and college, you probably got together with friends or acquaintances after school to study or do homework. In a sense, a GMAT prep class is like this except it's online rather than in person. It enables you to speak with a teacher and your fellow students through your computer at home or anywhere else that offers Internet access. You can choose to sign up for a two-week or a four-week class. Two-week sessions are great for those who only need a short time to study for the exam. If you want more time to prepare, then sign up for the four-week sessions. These classes run every week at various times, so you don't need to worry them getting in the way of other obligations you may have. You and the other students collaborate in group discussions and activities to review parts of the test. If you want to go over math problems that you may find in the Quantitative Reasoning section, you all can practice with worksheets. You can also use sample tables and graphs to review components of the Integrated Reasoning section. The teacher can share useful test-taking strategies such as figuring out confusing-sounding questions. You can also get individual time with your instructor if you are facing a specific academic obstacle that needs some extra attention.

I graduated from the American Academy of Dramatic Arts in NYC in 2008, the oldest English speaking acting conservatory in the world. I graduated Summa from University of St Thomas with a BA in English, and just wrapped up a MS in Data Science from Northwestern. I'm a huge Red Sox fan and love watching detective shows when I have free time.... Positivity. Always. I believe that if a student is given positive tools and is allowed to understand the material rather than be lectured at, they're more likely to do well in the future.
