The GMAT is important in your pursuit of a business school. If you are a student or professional who is thinking about taking the GMAT, you may need advice on how and when to start studying.
A Louisville GMAT course is a great way to get assistance in studying for exam day. If you choose this option, you will get collaborative online classes that are held by an expert instructor. With a GMAT course, you will know the ins and outs of the content and layout of the exam.
The score you receive on the GMAT will be considered during the admissions process for MBA programs at schools like the University of Louisville-College of Business or Bellarmine University. The score you receive on this exam can be used as an indicator of how well you may perform in your business degree. It is important to be prepared so that you can perform at your best.
What content will a Louisville GMAT class review?
The GMAT has four sections: Quantitative Reasoning, Verbal Reasoning, Integrated Reasoning, and Analytical Writing. The exam is 3.5 hours long. The exam questions are presented in essay and multiple choice format. The exam is filled with lots of content, so taking a Louisville GMAT class could be a great decision. Let's go over the sections.
First, we have the Quantitative Reasoning section. This section must be completed within sixty-two minutes. This section contains thirty-one multiple choice questions. The question types include problem-solving and data sufficiency. With the problem-solving questions, you figure out the answer and choose the best response from five choices. On the data sufficiency questions, you are given a question and two statements. Given your reasoning, math, and general knowledge skills, you decide if there is enough data to solve a problem and select your answer. These questions will show schools how you perform in areas such as graphical data interpretation, mathematical reasoning, and quantitative problem-solving.
Second is the Verbal Reasoning section. This section contains thirty-six multiple choice questions. These questions must be answered within sixty-five minutes. Verbal Reasoning assesses your critical reasoning, reading comprehension, and sentence correction abilities. The critical reasoning section provides a passage, and the questions focus on your ability to interpret an argument while forming a plan of action. In the reading comprehension section, you will again answer questions based on a passage. You will have to show that you understand the words, ideas, and logical relationships presented in the passages, along with drawing inferences and following quantitative concept developments. Lastly, for sentence correction, you will answer questions about sentence structure as well as identify proper grammar. You will also have to identify the best solution for a sentence to express it clearly.
The third section is Integrated Reasoning. Question types on this portion of the test include multi-source reasoning, table analysis, graphic interpretation, and two-part analysis. Multi-source reasoning questions involve using data from graphics, tables, text, and other sources to analyze and answer questions. The table analysis questions have you analyze and sort data in a table to identify the relevant information that meets the desired condition. The graphic analysis questions have you make inferences and identify relationships amongst data in graphs and other charts. Lastly, the two-part analysis questions will have you handle challenges like evaluating trade-offs, solving several simultaneous equations, and identifying relationships between two entities from more complex problems.
The last section is Analytical Writing. This section is computer based. A computer system analyzes your essay for structural and linguistic features, while human evaluators access the quality and organization of your essay. Your command of written English and using relevant examples in your work are important factors. You will have thirty minutes to write your essay.

...must help students recognize their individual learning styles, discover any flaws in their foundation knowledge, set reasonable goals, and look for deeper meanings behind why a problem is best solved a certain way. Moreover, she taught me the importance of concise communication, organization and empathy when teaching. I think that not only is teaching more similar to coaching than lecturing and assigning work, but also clear presentations, goal-setting and practice are crucial.... I would credit the education and the scores that I achieved in standardized testing to the help of my mom, who used to be a college psychology professor before immigrating to the U.S. and became my first teacher. The methods she used to help me learn and drive my curiosity still influence how I think and learn concepts today. From her, I learned that a meaningful education requires more than just knowing facts and how to find the right answers – it includes the process of helping students recognize their individual learning styles, discover any flaws in their foundation knowledge, set reasonable goals, and look for deeper meanings behind why a problem is best solved a certain way. I understand some kids can pick something up more easily, but I truly believe that motivation and how dedicated you are will ultimately decide your success. I think that teaching is more similar to coaching than just lecturing and assigning work. Looking back to my mom, she taught me the importance of concise communication, organization and empathy when teaching and I hope to impart the same on my students whether it is tutoring for the SAT or the GMAT. It is my passion to encourage students and help them learn strategies to succeed in their education and in life. ... All students have the ability to learn, so the challenge, as a teacher or tutor, is to understand how the student learns best. Utilizing that learning style, I desire to encourage the student and provide opportunities for the student to succeed. Beyond the current learning style, I believe it is important to equip the student with skills to learn in any classroom environment which they may encounter. Critical thinking skills are equally important to prepare the student for both classroom success and life.
