Varsity Tutors can help you find the right Dayton NCLEX preparation solution whether you're preparing for the NCLEX-RN or the NCLEX-PN. Both exams are used by the Nursing Regulatory Bodies to discern competency for incoming candidates applying for registration or licensure as a Registered Nurse, Licensed Practical Nurses, or Vocational Nurses.
If you're about to graduate from Wright State University or you've recently graduated from Sinclair Community College and you're considering taking the NCLEX, it's important to make sure you thoroughly review before test day. Many students think their classes have been enough to prepare them, but the NCLEX exams are intense, and a little extra preparation can go a long way. Continue reading to learn more about what to expect on your upcoming test and how Varsity Tutors can help with your preparation efforts.
What can Dayton NCLEX prep cover?
There are two Dayton NCLEX prep solutions Varsity Tutors can help you get started with. You can choose to work with a group of peers in one of our prep courses, or we can help you connect with a private instructor who can work with you individually. Either option can give you the tools you need to effectively prepare for your upcoming exam.
The framework for both types of NCLEX exams is client needs and the processes which are fundamental to the practice of nursing. Within the client needs component of the exam, you will be required to answer questions based on a safe and effective care environment, health promotion and maintenance, psychosocial integrity, and physiological integrity. You will also be expected to be well versed in psychology, sociology, anatomy, biology, physiology, microbiology, physics, and chemistry. The processes on which you will be tested include general nursing processes, caring, communication and documentation, teaching, culture, and spirituality.
The RN and PN exams approach the topics in different ways and within individual categories, there are some subcategories that are only applicable to one of the exams. Working with professionally developed resources can help you discern where to focus your study efforts.
How can a Dayton NCLEX prep course help me prepare?
A prep course provides structure, routine, accountability, and expert guidance from an experienced teacher in a supportive group environment.
Sessions are all held online, which has many benefits. You won't have to add additional commute time to your preparation efforts. When class is about to begin, all you need is a reliable internet connection and your digital device to join. Working in a group also helps to offset the cost of a course which tends to make it more affordable.
During your sessions, you will always have the best seat in the room! You'll be able to see and hear your teacher and any resources they share on the digital whiteboard as if you were sitting in the front of the class. After your teacher presents the lesson, they may have you pair up or break into small groups to review particular items. Adding a social dynamic to the learning process helps students internalize the concepts.
If you have a question during your session, you can ask your teacher for assistance. If the issue is beyond what can be addressed during the session, you can request to meet outside of class for clarification.
How is working with a Dayton NCLEX tutor different from taking a class?
A Dayton NCLEX prep class is a group learning experience. Working with a private instructor means you will be the only person in your sessions. This allows your teacher to get to know you as an individual. They can discover your learning style, academic strengths and weaknesses, work experience, and testing goals, and then use this information to create a custom program of study. When your learning content is personalized for your needs, you know that every session will be filled with information that helps you work towards your personal goals.
Private sessions are held online via our Live Learning Platform. When you log in, you will be face to face with your private teacher. Since you'll be the only student in the session, there is ample time to ask questions and receive direct feedback instantly.
