Varsity Tutors offers a Washington DC NCLEX prep course that can help students take an important step towards preparing to earn their license. This in-depth revision can help both Registered Nurses (RN) and Practical Nurses (PN) as they get ready to take their license exam. The Washington DC NCLEX course attracts students from Georgetown University, Howard University, and other local nursing schools in the area. The prep course is constantly updated to provide students with a comprehensive review of the fundamentals of nursing practice that are useful for students preparing to take the exam. Regardless of where you are in the preparation process, a Washington DC NCLEX course can provide you with the opportunity to revisit important material in a manner that is more effective than studying on your own.
What concepts will be covered during the Washington DC NCLEX class?
Both the NCLEX-RN and NCLEX-PN test candidates on four client needs categories: Safe and Effective Care Environment, Health Promotion and Maintenance, Psychosocial Integrity, and Physiological Integrity. Test-takers' competency will be evaluated in maintaining the physical, emotional, and social well-being of patients through a combination of multiple-choice and written answer questions. All exams use Computerized Adaptive Testing (CAT), a smart technology that takes into consideration how well the test-taker is doing on the exam to generate questions that are neither too easy nor too hard in order to accurately measure the candidate's ability. The main differences between the RN and PN exams include a few unique subsections and a longer test for RNs. For example, only RN exams will include a Management of Care section. PN test-takers have 5 hours while RN test-takers have 6 hours to complete the exam, but the latter must typically answer a larger number of questions.
The client needs categories and subcategories test students on their knowledge of necessary practices of nursing. The Washington DC NCLEX course is designed to cover many of these fundamentals. Firstly, students must be familiar with the nursing process which uses clinical reasoning to assess, analyze, plan, implement, and evaluate client needs. Secondly, it is important for nurses to provide encouragement, hope, support, and compassion to help clients achieve their desired outcomes. Thirdly, nurses are expected to exercise appropriate verbal and non-verbal communication with the client and their significant others as well as electronically document all the procedures the client undergoes. Finally, students need to possess adaptability in meeting the unique cultural and spiritual needs of different clients.
What are the benefits of attending the NCLEX Washington DC course instead of studying over studying on my own?
The Washington DC NCLEX prep course provides students with the guidance of an experienced and qualified instructor that specializes in providing valuable test-taking strategies and facilitating a collaborative environment where attendees can benefit from peer learning. This is achieved through the Live Learning Platform which uses video chat and a virtual whiteboard that connects you to your instructor and classmates as if you were attending a physical classroom. This allows you to both share your acquired information with your peers as well as fill in the gaps in your own revision by learning from your peers who may be more knowledgeable about some areas of the curriculum than you are. Moreover, learning in such an environment creates a sense of comradery and allows the studying process to be more enjoyable, which can provide additional motivation to excel. This collaborative environment is unique to the Washington DC NCLEX course and can provide a type of preparation that individual studying cannot.
During the NCLEX Washington DC class, your instructor understands the importance of covering both the content and format of the exam. Because the NCLEX is a computer-adaptive test, the course will go over strategies that can help you monitor your progress throughout the exam and, if need be, guess answers in an educated manner if you find yourself stuck on a question.
The instructors of the Washington DC NCLEX course understand the principles which the exam covers and are experienced in helping students review them. This class can help students check their knowledge and go over the necessary topics needed to perform well on the NCLEX exam.
How do I enroll in a Washington DC NCLEX course?
The online platform allows for accessibility and flexibility so that it is possible for students to find time for the prep course in their schedule. If you would like to learn more about the Washington DC NCLEX prep course, reach out to Varsity Tutors today and one of our educational consultants can provide you with the information you need to make the best decision for yourself.
