Tutoring review by Shefali in Edgewater, NJ
During our session this week, the student practiced problems to review for a quiz. She stated that she feels confident with the concepts from Section 8.1 on using the distance and mid-point formulas. She wanted to work on Sections 8.2 and 8.3 to develop further understanding of how to write equations of parabolas and circles. She also worked on examples to help her identify the focus, directrix and axis of symmetry, as well as application problems from these two sections. Also, to help her prepare for the second part of the test, we looked at example Standardized Test Preparation problems as review. Overall, the student feels very confident and prepared to ace the quiz on Sections 8.1-8.3 and looks forward to our next session, where we will look at the rest of Chapter 8 and review for a possible test in the coming week.

Tutoring review by Chandler in Edgewater, NJ
Today was our last session before the student's test on systems of equations tomorrow. We worked on the two remaining types of questions that might appear on the test: constant rate questions and questions involving interest on two types of financial assets.

Tutoring review by Wyatt in Edgewater, NJ
We worked through related rates problems mainly during this session. Auxiliary problems included indefinite integral approximations, and other theoretical approximations using MVT and IVT. The student is doing well as usual with the material, but still could brush up a little more on u substitution. Since this is the last session before the AP test, we reviewed most of the concepts and I believe he is well prepared. All that is left is for him to employ are proper pre-test procedures including a good night's sleep, a nice light breakfast, and he should be solid!! Good luck!

We went over the questions the student needed help with in her pre-calculus packet (algebra 2 review) dealing with factoring quantities with exponents, solving and graphing inequalities, fractional inequalities, and logarithms. We also refreshed on logarithm rules. She understood the concepts and was able to recall after I elaborated. She felt confident to finish up the packet after we went over the selected questions.
