Tutoring review by Mualla in Dallas, NC
We have covered similar triangles and solved 8 problems by using two methods are drawing a picture and setting up proportions. After an example he drew and set up the proportions by himself. He is doing calculation pretty fast which is pretty impressive. I have not seen a student doing operations that much quick in big numbers which helps him to save time a lot. We went over the last quiz he took and made corrections over it. We need to do a little more work on the Pythagorean theorem to figure out the missing side in right triangle. It was helpful for him to diagnose right, acute or obtuse angles by looking at given sides.

Tutoring review by Mehreen in Dallas, NC
The student recently found out about a test (this Friday) on right triangles, so we reviewed her textbook questions on those sections, mostly word problems. I gave her tips and formulas to remember for the test. She has retained a lot of the information we went over a week ago!

Tutoring review by Logan in Dallas, NC
Today, the student and I covered everything that would be on tomorrow's test. This included: factoring, order of operations, solving linear equations, finding slopes, proportion equations, finding the domain of a function, and adding similar terms. He did all of the above correctly and efficiently and I feel he will do well on tomorrow's test. I do recommend doing more examples of order of operations and domain of function problems, but that would be to just reinforce what we practiced earlier.

We spent time going over the various theorems and corollaries associated with chords, arcs and angles within a circles. We then applied them to various problems. Solving right triangles was an integral part of the solving process, so we reviewed that and incorporated Pythagorean triples when possible. The session went very well.
