I am a graduate of Washington State University. I received my Bachelor of Arts in Management and Operations. The day after my graduation I opened my own business: a gaming lounge for young adults and kids. I have a passion for working with the youth and have recently begun getting into the tutoring field again. I was an emergency substitute for my local school district as well as a student tutor during my college career. I am most passionate about mathematical studies and technical writing. I believe that the purpose of education is to gain perspective. In my free time, I enjoy playing the drums and playing fortnite with my daughter.

I am currently a sophomore at Washington University in St. Louis majoring in Biochemistry and minoring in Anthropology. As a student myself I know the importance of getting the right instruction and guidance. Whether you are struggling with a simple concept or a prospective college student grinding to get that standardized test score, I am here to help and provide valuable tips, thinking strategies, and tricks so you ace that test and reach your academic goals. My expertise is tutoring Chemistry and Mathematics and the math/science sections on the ACT.
I help law students make "A's," plain and simple. I have hundreds of hours of tutoring, and I have devised a system that is readily available to students to aid them in the reason that they are reaching out for tutoring in the first place -- making "A's." In addition, I have also written a book available on Amazon, "Beating the Law School Curve," that acts as a supplement guide for the 1L student just new to law school.

I am a secondary math teacher with over ten years of tutoring experience. I graduated with a degree in Biology from Washington State University and a Masters in secondary education from Gonzaga University. I love helping students master the concepts that they need to be successful in their classes and on their tests!
For the past 25 years I have been teaching and tutoring students from Elementary to College. I truly love to see the "light bulb" pop on when a student understands something they have been struggling to learn. I personally believe everybody can learn. In my spare time I read and write books, cook, play basketball, make mix tapes and dance. I can dance anything from the Waltz to the Whip and Nene.
Hello! I have been teaching/tutoring for almost 10 years now and have worked with students from elementary levels to doctoral levels. I currently am an adjunct professor in neuroscience and psychology at Dominican University and work for a biotechnology company. I have my PhD in neuropharmacology and my undergraduate degree is in neuroscience and psychology. I am a published author with six manuscripts in top tier peer-reviewed journals, a book chapter in preparation and have lectured at a large variety of invited speaking events. I have taken many many science, math and psychology courses. I love to learn and love to help other people learn both basic and complicated topics. If you are struggling, I've been there, and am here to help!
Anyone can learn anything with just a little work and guidance. I hope to be able to work together to achieve those goals.
I am currently finishing my third year at Washington State University, I am a Biology major with the intent to pursue my master's degree in education. I believe in the fact that all students can learn with dedication and the right instructor. I plan on using my tutoring skills to make a curriculum dedicated to the child rather than the subject they are learning. I believe that this makes a better learning environment and makes student success skyrocket.
My goal has been and always will be putting students first. No matter what a district will demand, my students come first. When a students mental health is addressed and answered for, their identity validated, learning flows like no other. We are programmed to learn, excited to learn, sometimes we just have to convince the students that the material they are to learn is pertinent to them. This have proven true, no matter the age of population. This idea has always remained true; treat the students as individuals with their own goals and aspirations, they will respect you back and let what you say sink in.
I was raised by two English teachers; my dad went on to write a few novels which I assisted in editing. In competitive speech I made my way to the Nationals, and I ran away to join the circus as a ringmaster. My scholarship to college was in Speech, as is my Bachelor's degree. Since then, I taught junior achievement, and ran computer training centers for the now defunct CompUSA. My students will benefit from a deep knowledge of public speaking, knowing how to train and coach, and how to do business presentations. On the business side, I sold my last restaurant due to Covid, and split my time tutoring, writing food related content and doing recipe design. As an owner and in other jobs, I have interviewed hundreds of people and seen many resumes. Staying current, I can share the STAR approach for interview prep with my students, along with all my additional experience. My solid writing skills also make me very qualified for resume writing and direction. I raised two children, one on the autistic spectrum, volunteering in their classes throughout elementary school. My young students will enjoy the rapport I will develop, and efforts to explore their own interests as tools for better instruction.
I graduated from Washington State University with a B.S. in Mathematics and a B.S. in Biotechnology. While in college, I tutored for almost four years in classes ranging from high school algebra to college level calculus, and in a variety of environments, including tutoring in small groups and online.I enjoy tutoring math because it is often one of the most frustrating subjects for students. I like to show students that math doesn't have to be painful. In order to do this, I will often start with a basic problem that has an intuitive answer, identify the concept behind the problem, and then expand the concept in order to solve more complex problems. Teaching this way also provides students with a blueprint to independently solve problems in the future. In this way, I think it's important to teach students how to be more self-sufficient in the learning process, and that includes relaying tips for taking tests and managing one's time.In my free time, I enjoy playing basketball, watching the Portland Trailblazers, and cooking.
