My philosophy around teaching is to provide patience, clarity, and build confidence in students. I enjoy breaking down complex ideas into simple steps and incorporating examples that encourage deeper understanding and critical thinking. While I am early in my formal teaching experience, my academic background has helped me develop strong problem-solving skills, adaptability to different learning styles, and the ability to communicate effectively through collaboration. My goal is to help students

Hello! My name is Mrs. Bridget Hernandez Barreto. From Arlington Virginia raised in Charlotte North Carolina. Currently located in Charlotte, NC. In my free time I like to travel with my husband who is from Brazil. I am trilingual; I do speak English, Spanish, and Brazilian Portuguese. My educational philosophical beliefs include equal opportunity for all by creating unity and forming positive relationships. My college professor would say if we can't reach them we can't teach them. On a daily basis, it is important for me as an educator to reach and meet all my students' needs by promoting a diverse, collaborative and sound environment. We all come from diverse backgrounds and have had to overcome any obstacle faced on a daily basis to proceed. As we move above and beyond, we encounter many different challenges; challenges we may not be able to overcome, without an equal opportunity. Looking forward to being your Virtual Tutor this semester!

I am a graduate of University of North Carolina at Charlotte, where I earned a Bachelor of Science in Math and a Bachelor of Arts in German, with University Honors and Mathematics Honors. Currently, I am pursuing my Doctorate in Mathematics from North Carolina State University, and I love every second of it. Math is a huge passion of mine, only matched by my love for teaching and tutoring. I believe that everyone can do math, and helping students realize that is why I do what I do. Math is exciting and useful, and I think it isn't always portrayed that way in the classroom. I hope to bring that side of math out in one-on-one tutoring. When I'm not working or studying, I love to watch movies and read all kinds of books, though classics and fantasy are my favorite.

I am a graduate of the University of North Carolina at Charlotte with a bachelor's degree in Elementary Education. I've taught Pre-Kindergarten, 1st grade, and 5th grade over the span of 6 years. I am passionate about teaching children to read and write and finding ways to make math more inviting. I am a mother of one, soon-to-be two, and enjoy watching my kids and students grow and learn through a variety of means, from arts to music, using technology or nature, and making education fun. I believe every child can succeed in their education, but not every style of learning fits every student, so I prefer to adapt to how a child learns rather than having them try to adapt to my style. In my spare time, I like watching cooking shows, cop shows, and anime of all types. I also love to do arts and crafts and play with my kids in whatever they want to play, including outdoor games and video games.
