I love teaching and love finding ways to help students grow while also enjoying school. My class goal is to find ways to reach every student. I have taught Pre-k, Fifth grade, and seventh grade. I am certified in all subjects. I went to UT Chattanooga for my bachelors and earned my masters online while teaching. I have also added a reading endorsement and gifted endorsement. Both were added by choice in hopes that I could better reach some of my more challenging students. I have normally tutored in after school programs and am excited to begin working with families online.

As a passionate educator with a Doctorate in Philosophy from University College Dublin, I have over two years of experience teaching and tutoring a diverse range of subjects, particularly in the humanities and social sciences. My teaching philosophy centers on tailoring lesson plans to meet individual student needs, incorporating real-world examples and contemporary technology to engage learners. I believe in fostering a supportive environment where students feel comfortable exploring complex ideas, and my experience with diverse student populations, including those with learning barriers, has honed my ability to connect with varying learning styles. Outside of academia, I enjoy exploring philosophical texts and engaging in discussions that challenge conventional thinking, further fueling my dedication to nurturing students' intellectual growth.

I really listen to my students to determine their learning style. I am empathetic and above all I like to have fun and help learners build their confidence! Once I recognize the child's learning style, I'll cater to them, so they retain the information. I will still work to introduce other learning styles, but I will cater to the one that allows them to best retain the information.
