Hello!I love exploring the wonderful world of writing and all its creativity and headaches (though I'd like to think with my help you will avoid the headaches). I am also a bit of a grammar Nazi and enjoy refreshing people's memories about grammar rules in order for people to read and better understand their meaning. Miscommunication is frustrating, and great writing that's clear and concise can prevent unnecessary frustration.

I have been tutoring in some form for most of my life. In college I worked in the math study hall and helped with algebra, calculus and statistics. In graduate school I tutored in the chemistry department study hall for general and organic chemistry. More recently I have taught 4 undergraduate organic chemistry classes at University of Texas at Arlington and I am currently teaching General Chemistry at Tarrant County College. I have worked in drug discovery for several fortune 500 drug companies and have numerous patents, publications and reviews.
I am a graduate of Texas Christian University. I received my Bachelor of Science in Economics and Political Science. During this time, I was a tutor for the Departments of Economics and Mathematics, where I gained a passion for seeing the "click" of knowledge, where information becomes made personal. Since graduation, I have have been pursuing my Master of Public Administration at the University of Kansas. My career mission is to work in City Management, applying math, social sciences, communication, and other fields to serve the public in a multidisciplinary manner. I am a firm believer in being a well-around, global citizen, so that entails being moderately versed in many fields of study. While I tutor a broad range of subjects, I am most passionate about Economics, Math, and Standardized Testing. I believe that education is the path to an enlightened life, so I look forward to joining you on that journey. In my spare time, I enjoy hiking, film/television, stand-up comedy, and playing/watching all sports.
I am eager to tutor students in the subject of accounting. Even if the student does not want to be an accountant, learning accounting concepts will add value in any endeavor they pursue in life. I enjoy accounting because it is a unique way to add value to a business. Accountants provide and analyze information that others use to make business decisions, whether that be management, lenders, or investors.
I am currently a first year medical student at the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston, TX. In 2020, I graduated with Magna Cum Laude and Honors with a Bachelor in Science in Biology from Texas Christian University. Along with my Biology major, I minored in Chemistry, Spanish for the Health Professions, and Cultural Awareness in Health and Healthcare. I am passionate about learning, which is one of the reasons I enjoy tutoring and helping other students learn. My tutoring style is tailored to each student, but I find that the best way to teach is to explain the concept, answer questions, and then have the student explain the concept back to me in order to ensure they retain the knowledge. I also enjoy providing study tips for how to learn scientific concepts more effectively, and more specifically, how to successfully study for high level science courses or the MCAT.
I have a passion for helping people and seeing them learn. I am a student at TCU getting a BS in actuarial science with a minor in economics. I am also a student athlete on the equestrian team. Hello my name is Gabriel and I'll probably be the most charismatic and positive young man you will ever meet. With a family of 5 siblings, and me being the second oldest, I've been raised helping out with school work, and just love seeing the joy on their faces, once a child has learned something new.
I have been a Registered Dietitian for 29 years. My main focus professionally has been in Clinical Nutrition (inpatient, outpatient and community) as well as teaching nutrition classes to students in a culinary arts program. I enjoy helping students achieve their academic goals.

Now, I want to help others experience the life-changing power of education as well.

I am a part of 3 start-up companies but I love tutoring so I can help students and fund my travel/scuba hobbies. While I have tutored in various subjects much of my experience is in English, in both Spain and the US, as well as Spanish. My favorite subjects are reading/writing, physics, and language because they enable us to describe our world. As a tutor my approach is focused on student discovery which creates confidence in and retention of the subjects.Outside work I enjoy vinyl music, eating/cooking, and sleeping in a hammock while fixing my tan.
Hi, I'm Alyssa! I graduated from Texas Christian University in 2021 with a Bachelor's degree in Kinesiology and a minor in Psychology (with Honors and a 4.0 GPA!). I am a current Doctorate of Physical Therapy student at Texas Woman's University, continuing my education in Kinesiology and related subjects.During my time at TCU and as VP of Student Kinesiology Association, I often worked with other Kinesiology and Psychology students to help them achieve success in their studies. I love working with students in these subjects because I am passionate about understanding the human body and the human experience, and want to help extend that understanding to others as well! Specific subjects that I tutor include anatomy & physiology, exercise physiology, exercise assessment and prescription, motor development, nutrition and physical activity, biomechanics, psychology basics, developmental psychology, and social psychology. I also have experience tutoring Algebra, and really enjoy working with students to build a strong foundation of understanding that they can use to be successful in their Algebra classwork, as well as any and all future math classes. After experiencing successful standardized testing results, I enjoy helping other students to be even more successful, and to achieve results that they can be extremely proud of (and that set them up for the future they desire!).While working with students, my main priority is to increase and solidify their understanding of the content in order for them to be able to apply and relate the information in any context- whether that be on a test question or in real life! I fill in the gaps when needed and provide clear explanations to help students feel comfortable and confident with the material they are studying. If you could benefit from some additional resources in Kinesiology, Psychology, Algebra, or standardized test preparation, please consider me as your tutor so we can work together towards your success!
Hi! My name is MaryClaire. I am living in Fort Worth TX! I grew up in Northern California and moved to Texas to attend college at Texas Christian University. The following spring of 2018, I graduated again with a Masters in Curriculum Studies.I started my first official teaching job the following Fall as a 1st grade classroom teacher at a charter school. teaching 1st grade has been a wild adventure and so much fun!Through my first two years of teaching I have discovered my passion for teaching students how to read through phonics and guided reading strategies.I believe that every student learns in a unique way, just as each student is unique in their own way.
