Hello,I'm a full time working professional and adjunct professor based in Manhattan. I graduated from Vanderbilt University with a BA in Medicine, Health, & Society and a minor in Managerial Studies. I've also earned my MFA in Luxury & Fashion Management from Savannah College of Art & Design and my MSL in Fashion Law from Fordham School of Law. I have been an Adjunct Professor in fashion business since 2016 and love working one-on-one with students to build confidence and identify their root source of motivation while of course building knowledge and develop critical thinking skills. Education has always been an important foundation upon which I build my goals and dreams. Without education, I would not be able to achieve my greatest ambition, to assist the youth to develop their fullest potential. Throughout my life, I have always been optimistic and dedicated to my studies. I've always maintained a B average. I knew I had to work hard so that I can be the change that my family wasn't, to receive a higher education. I was determined to attend college and receive scholarships, and that is what I did.As an undergraduate, I immersed myself in the resources at Claflin University especially in its Freshman College. As a result, I mentored and tutored freshmen students and became a visionary leader on campus. It was then that I knew my purpose was greater than being a Journalist. In undergrad, I have maintained an A average in my English courses and was recognized by several professors for my achievements.After graduating from undergrad and attending graduate school, my love and passion for helping the youth expanded, which led me to become a substitute teacher, in which I managed while being a full-time student. It wasn't until I became a Program Assistant for SCAD's summer program, that I realized that my hard work and dedication affected the youth in whom I've worked with. I've motivated, inspired and changed so many young people lives which exceeded my expectations.I have years of experience of learning and teaching, to be a better me, so that I can motivate and inspire the youth to be a better them. My goal is to build students' confidence and encourage them to contribute during classroom discussions. I graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Performing Arts from The Savannah College of Art and Design. I have 10 years of experience performing in theater, film and theme parks. I have tutored and trained people in several areas and fields of study over the past few years. On this platform, I'm focusing on subjects such as Acting for all levels, performing Shakespeare, audition prep, scene and character analysis, improv, public speaking and Spanish. Performing Shakespeare is my favorite subject to tutor- and to talk about- because it is incredibly fun and beneficial as an actor, as it creates a strong foundation of skill for other types and styles of acting.My teaching philosophy is transformed around the learning style of the student. I am a graduate of the University of Kentucky with a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science and a minor in Art Studio. I am currently working toward my Masters of Arts in Game Development at the Savannah College of Art and Design. I am deeply passionate about helping students unleash their full potential. Witnessing the "aha" moments when they grasp a challenging concept is very rewarding. I tutor a range of subjects from computer science principles and programming languages (C, C++, Java, etc.) to game development in Unity and 3D art in various software.My favorite subject to tutor is Blender because of my passion for 3D art and the software.
