I am a graduate of Rollins College. I received my Bachelor of Arts in Business Management and Administration and my Master's in Human Resources. I have a 12 year old child. While I tutor a broad range of subjects, I am most passionate about Reading and History. In my experience helping struggling students prepare for the success through organization, we always seem to have the most fun and make advancements forward while retaining the information needed for exams. I am a firm proponent of life long education, believing it to be absolutely necessary for an improved quality of life, and I try to impart this appreciation to all of my students. In my spare time, I enjoy reading that which enriches my life, walking, grilling, and taking care of my family.

Hi!I am a senior at Rollins College and have my IB diploma from high school. I did TOK, HLs: Psych, Econ, language and literature, and SLs: Spanish, biology, and mathematical studies. I prefer psych, econ, business, and anything English or literature related. I can do paper revisions, essay help, reading comprehension, elementary/middle/high school math. I would prefer more basic math and science, can help with reading and writing in Spanish, and am up for anything.I am graduating summer 2017 from Rollins, have recently started a company that I am securing contracts with right now, I love my dog, and I enjoy hanging out with friends every weekend.Disney is SO FUN. As a finance professional with a Master's degree from Rollins College, I bring over two years of tutoring experience in subjects such as macroeconomics and personal finance. My diverse background in banking, real estate, and investments fuels my passion for teaching essential financial concepts that are often overlooked in traditional education. I believe in a student-centered approach, tailoring my methods to accommodate different learning styles, whether through hands-on problem-solving or practical real-world applications. I find fulfillment in helping students grasp complex topics and develop their financial literacy, as I believe that knowledge is power. Additionally, my experience teaching children with special needs has honed my ability to connect with students of all ages. I look forward to making a positive impact in the lives of my students.
I strive to help others learn by presenting information in a new light, experimenting with different methods of learning, and tracing back difficulties to their roots. I hope to make education less stressful and more accessible to students who are struggling or just need that extra help.
While I was seeking my Master's in Liberal Studies several years ago, I was approached to work in the college's writing and tutoring center as a history tutor and writing consultant. I had done a fair amount of freelance editing and consulting, but this involved significantly greater in-depth interaction with the students. As you can see from my interests listed below, they're pretty varied, and one other aspect of working as a tutor which I find inviting is the opportunity to discover new ones as I work with students exploring their particular subjects - even as a tutor one gets to learn about new things! Whether it was workshopping initial ideas, or drilling into a particularly complex thought, or witnessing that "Aha!" moment, for me, being a part of a student's writing journey was a truly grand experience, and I hope you will give me the opportunity to have those moments with you.
I tutor German as well as many fields of European History. I have over a year of experience as a tutor in German and I hope that my expertise can help students on the road to bettering themselves intellectually. I have been exposed to German for close to 9 years and have been to Germany numerous times. I have conversed with natives and spent a month in a German language school to hone my abilities. As far as history goes, I have graduated Cum Laude from Rollins College and was a member of the Phi Alpha Theta History Society and have independently looked into periods of time on my own accord since before I can remember. I look forward to working with you!
Hi students and parents, I am passionate about teaching and I believe in student specific teaching to compliment their strengths and improve on their weaknesses. I try to use real work examples to make learning fun and engaging.I have a bachelors degree in Physics BA, and a PhD from Dartmouth and perfect math scores in both the GRE and SAT math sections. At 27, I am relatively young and can still relate to students who may need assistance in achieving their academic goals.I can tutor SAT/ACT math, GRE math, in addition to high school/college science and math subjects like: algebra, trigonometry, geometry, and Physics.I started tutoring students one-on-one 8 years ago and also been a teaching assistant in over 10 classes during my PhD.
I am passionate about helping students in any way that I can. From reading to math skills, I am willing to be of service to those in need. I have worked with students across various grade levels for about 3 years now and I experience much joy when I can help them with their learning. Being a mentor to them and uplifting them when they are in need is something that I always look forward to when working with students as well.
I am a graduate of Rollins College in Winter Park, FL and of the University of Central Florida. I received my Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and a Masters in Exceptional Student Education K-12 with an ESOL endorsement. Since graduation from Rollins College, I have immersed myself in education while trying to gain as much experience in the field as possible. After graduating from Rollins, I interned at a facility that specialized in educating students with autism and individually working with each student to assist them in reaching their academic potential. From there, I began working as a paraprofessional at a charter school that also educates students with autism. I worked there for three years before I transferred to my current job as a middle school InD teacher. I really enjoy the job and actually began my job as a tutor as a result. A parent of one of my students asked if I could begin tutoring her over the summer to keep her on track for the upcoming school year. Before I knew it, I was tutoring her brother (3rd grade) and another one of my students. I really enjoy tutoring and working one-on-one with students to achieve their academic goals. I particularly like working with students in math, writing, grammar, reading, and phonics. In my experience, I have noticed that many students are lacking education in developing the basic skills that can help them in reading (identifying letter sounds/blending) and in math (looking for key words in word problems/using manipulatives to better understand adding/subtracting/multiplying). I am a firm believer in education, and I believe that it is absolutely necessary to have in order for them to reach their full potential and reach their goals!
I am an active voice teacher and performer. I believe in creating a safe space for exploration in every lesson, and my teaching method is highly energetic and positive. As a singer, I specialize in musical theatre and operatic styles, and I have experience teaching both of these styles. I would love to help singers at any level identify and achieve their vocal goals.
