Hi, I recently graduated medical school with an M.D. degree and am now working as a doctor. I have also received a B.S. in biology and graduated with highest honors from Lehigh University in 2018. I have extensive experience serving as both a tutor and teaching assistant for various subjects. I work 1-on-1 with my students to develop a teaching method that is catered specifically to their unique learning style. My main expertise is in life science courses such as biology, chemistry, anatomy and physiology, organic chemistry, and biochemistry. I also provide standardized exam preparation, along with assistance in applying to or getting through medical school.

My name is Jared Feindt, and I'm a Mechanical Engineering PhD Candidate at Lehigh University. I enjoy lifting, basketball, soccer, investing, technology, and soon hope to travel. I graduated from Bucknell University with a BS in Biomedical Engineering in May, along with a Math Minor.I excel at teaching strategies for tackling standardized tests, including the GRE, ACT, SAT, and PSAT. I received nearly perfect scores on the math sections of all of these tests. In addition, I can also help with the AP level classes in Chemistry, Physics, Calculus, and Statistics, all of which I have since taken more advanced college classes for. I am very skilled in essay editing and organization as well.Students who work with me will find me demanding but fair, honest but kind, and productive but lighthearted and fun. I work hard to maintain a positive attitude and to help clients achieve their goals.
I am here to help and tutor students with math, science, history, and web technology.
My name is Lauren Fried and I am a medical student at NYU School of Medicine. I tutored biology / biological sciences, biochemistry, organic chemistry, and general chemistry during my 4 years at Lehigh University and I absolutely love to teach. I strongly believe that learning should be a fun, interactive experience - it sticks better and helps you love what you are learning! I am enthusiastic and excited about what I teach and look forward to sharing that with my students to help them succeed.
I'm passionate about helping students because I believe everyone deserves the tools and preparation to build a brighter future. Education isn't just about learning facts, it's about discovering your potential, and I love being part of that journey. I've worked with students from all levels, from kindergarten through college and even graduate programs. Over the years, I've helped with a variety of subjects, but my specialties are SAT prep, SAT Subject Tests (Math II, Biology, Chemistry), Statistics, and Biology. Out of all these, I especially enjoy SAT prep. Many people think it's all about knowledge, but the SAT is really a mix of problem-solving, critical thinking, and understanding the test itself. Mastering its structure and strategies can make a huge difference, and I love showing students how to do that. I studied Biology at Lehigh University for my undergraduate degree and completed my Master's in Innovation at Yonsei University. My academic background taught me the value of hard work, curiosity, and persistencelessons I bring to every tutoring session. My teaching philosophy is simple: practice makes progress. Sure, explaining and lecturing are important, but the best learning happens when students can dive in, try things out, and connect the dots themselves. During sessions, I start with a quick, clear explanation, move into practice, and then review to make sure everything sticks. When I'm not tutoring, I'm probably watching or playing basketball. It's my favorite way to unwind. Whether I'm catching a game or hitting the gym for a pick-up run, it keeps me energized and ready to tackle whatever comes next. If you're looking for support with academics, test prep, or just building confidence in your skills, I'd love to help you reach your goals!

I would be happy to help with whatever you need. I have a VERY diverse educational background. My degree, which is in Behavioral Neuroscience, consists of courses in Biology, Chemistry, Organic Chemistry, Physics, English, Psychology, Calculus, and Bio-Statistics, and I also took courses in Japanese, History, Chinese Religion, Philosophy, and Theater (performance and production).Another reason to choose me - I worked for and was trained by one of the country's largest tutoring companies for more than two years, and within that short time became one of their best and busiest tutors. Believe me, busy is definitely an understatement. In those two short years, I taught well over 500 students in a classroom setting (in person) and well over 700 students online (through virtual class rooms, Skype, Google, etc). I've tutored one-on-one (in person and online) to well over 120 students. I was able to teach and tutor that many students in two main ways. I was able to tutor that many students in such a short time because I excelled at teaching/tutoring and because I truly invested myself in my students' success. I'm bringing all that experience with me to Varsity Tutors.I am experienced in academic tutoring from grade school through college including graduate level.I also have experience working with students that are home-schooled - especially when it comes to preparing them for entering high school or college. While I cannot guarantee scores like the ones I have, I do promise my very best to help you get your highest score or grades possible! If you have any questions - please feel free to ask. I'd be glad to answer them.THANK YOU for considering me to help you/your family.

I have a Bachelor of Arts in International Relations from Lehigh University, which I attended, after earning an Army ROTC scholarship. Subsequently, I spent three years serving as an Armor officer at Fort Knox, Kentucky. It was there that I gained my first teaching experience. I instructed students ranging from new recruits to senior officers and enlisted soldiers. After completing my service obligation, I earned a law degree from Rutgers University and a Master of Journalism degree from Temple University. While working as a Graduate Assistant at Temple, I gained additional teaching experience in front of the classroom and with individual students in the computer lab. After graduating, I worked for 10 years in Public Relations, which allowed me to utilize my writing skills. As a Tutor, my focus is on Reading Comprehension, Grammar Usage and Writing. I believe that skilled language use is becoming a dying art and that a student who masters this can truly stand out from his or her peers. My job is to help our clients achieve that distinction.
