I began my tutoring career seven years ago while a Freshman at Georgetown University, where I majored in Spanish and Sociology. I initially tutored English (Grammar & Mechanics) assisted with drafting essays and lengthier papers for a variety of subjects, and helped my students to enhance their study skills.Tutoring soon became something I greatly enjoyed. I loved watching my students progress in their studies as they began to genuinely enjoy the learning process! Later in my career, I added Spanish as a subject that I tutored. I tutored students at the college level in Beginners and Intermediate Spanish.I was so happy to add Spanish to my repertoire of tutoring subjects because it is a personal favorite. Learning Spanish is fun and exciting! It has been an integral part of my life since when I first began learning it at the age of 14. However, I rapidly learned because I immersed myself in Spanish music, television, and culture. I also traveled to the Dominican Republic in the Fall of 2011 for a semester of study abroad.Since graduating with my Bachelor of Arts in Spanish from Georgetown University, I have continued to immerse myself in the Spanish language and use it as much as possible. Besides my interest in tutoring, I am also an avid singer. I have studied voice for about ten years now. I have sang at weddings and like to record professionally in my spare time.

I have always loved languages, writing, and foreign affairs. Consequently, it was no surprise that I chose to go to Georgetown University's School of Foreign Service. Here, I majored in International Culture and Politics where I was able to become proficient in writing, political science, and economics. I also obtained my certification of French proficiency during a language immersion program while I studied abroad in Tours, France. As a result, I enjoy tutoring in many of these same subject areas, with writing and government being the two areas I most enthusiastic about. While in high school I tutored my peers in math, in college I tutored peers in writing, and I also tutored high school students in the Cristo Rey Network while I was at Georgetown as part of an academic externship. Yet, I enjoy working with students of all ages. A lot of my experience in working with younger students stems from having a large family with many younger cousins and other family members that I have been close with.My interest in working with a variety of people is what led me to law school where I largely focused on international law, criminal justice, immigration, and human rights. Through many experiences both in and out of the courtroom, I have had the opportunity to work with individuals from all walks of life and many backgrounds. I believe that my passion for working with people, and my interest in making complex materials easily accessible to others, is what makes me a great tutor.I enjoy approaching materials from unique points of view so that students always have a fresh perspective on subjects they are uncomfortable with. I am a foodie and love cooking, so sometimes I enjoy using incorporating food into lesson plans. Lately, I have enjoyed playing tennis and cycling. I travel whenever possible, and I aim to live by learning something new everyday.
I completed my undergraduate education in three years at Georgetown University in Washington, DC where I earned my Bachelor of Science in Foreign Service. I then attended Loyola Marymount University in Los Angeles where I was part of the Partners in Los Angeles Education (PLACE) Corps. There I earned my Master of Arts in Secondary Education and my California Single Subject Clear Credential with an authorization in social science. I am currently in the process of adding an English authorization to my credential. I will return to Loyola Marymount to work on a second Master's degree in the Fall.I have been in the classroom for almost four years teaching social studies, religion, and English to grades 5 - 12. I have experience at both the high school and middle school levels. I also was previously a coach for the Catholic School's Junior High Academic Decathlon for multiple subjects. I regularly hold tutoring for my students have much experience tutoring a variety of subjects at the middle school level.I am in education because it is a constantly changing field where one can always work on improving one's teaching. I enjoy the challenges of teaching and tutoring because it means that no two days are ever the same. In addition, I enjoy using research based methods in education. I also believe in empowering students to reach their goals.I enjoy cooking on my free time, researching topics in Junior High Academic Decathlon, and keeping up with my friends.
I currently work as a teacher in New York City public schools. I have a Master of Arts in English from Georgetown University in Washington, D.C. and a Bachelor of Arts in International Affairs and French Language and Literature from George Washington University. I spent a year directly enrolled in the French Literature department at the Universit de Strasbourg in Strasbourg, France. Prior to returning to teaching, I worked in a variety of non-profit support functions, such as administration, operations, accounting, and finance in Strasbourg and Washington, D.C. I am available to tutor a wide array of topics in English and French at the secondary and post-secondary levels.

I am currently a sophomore at Georgetown University pursuing a major in Biology of Global Health and a minor in Science, Technology, and International Affairs. In addition, I am on the pre-med track. I have previously organized an after-school STEM program for elementary school children where I would develop lesson plans and teach basic science concepts. I am passionate about all science and math subjects, particularly biology and chemistry because I believe a strong understanding of the sciences gives students the tools for success in all other areas of life. Outside of academics, I enjoy running, reading, and trying new baking recipes!
I am an undergraduate student at Georgetown University. I am majoring in biology of global health and minoring in economics. I have previously tutored high school students in math and chemistry, and I also served as a DC STEM and DC Reads tutor for elementary students. Although I tutor a range of subjects, I am most passionate about biology because I enjoy its applications to our world. I believe in making education accessible and making learning as fun as possible. In my free time, I enjoy golfing and working out.
Bonjour!I am from New York.I graduated from Georgetown University and then completed my Masters in French at La Sorbonne in Paris, where I then lived for many years.I was a teacher for the French Embassy whilst in Paris, teaching students in a public high school in the 14th arrondissement. I have been a peer tutor for more than three years, and have worked with students in all age groups. I am comfortable with most locations- classrooms, homes, and public places. As a founding member of Tutors For Opportunity, an international tutoring nonprofit, I have worked with students from a variety of cultural and educational backgrounds. These experiences have allowed me to develop a core teaching method for each subjects, and anticipate many of the conceptual difficulties facing students. Moreover, I have insight into recent developments in many subject curricula, particularly those of standardized tests, on account of my experience; I tailor my instruction to match these trends.
I'm a first year law student in the University of Pennsylvania's law program. I'm all about taking the time to make sure the tutoring experience is catered to what works best for you. Learning is fun, and there's no right way to learn!
As a dedicated educator, I excel at finding and developing the potential of my students. I have been tutoring since I was a college student at Georgetown University in the 1990's. After graduation, I worked for four years on the trading floor of an Argentinian bank in New York City where I traded money markets and other instruments in three languages: English, Spanish and Portuguese, so I took a winding route back to the classroom, but I have now been teaching for more than 14 years in Texas.I am certified in English, ESL, Spanish, Composite Social Studies and dance. I have coached tennis and for the last 11 years have directed an award-winning ballet folklorico program. I also currently teach an AVID elective. AVID is a college prep class, so I have experience prepping students for college and in writing exceptional college and scholarship essays.I really enjoy teaching and look forward to working with you.
As a passionate educator I have over ten years of teaching experience across various subjects. including Adult Literacy, College Biology, Elementary and Middle School Reading and Math, and Public Speaking at any age. I create a supportive and engaging learning environment where students come to feel encouraged to explore concepts, ask questions, and uncover their limitless potential. Connecting with each student personally to understand their unique learning styles and motivations is one method in which we achieving their set goals. This approach fosters academic success and a genuine champion environment. Outside of tutoring, I am a small business owner and life-long learner. I enjoy reading, traveling, and exploring new methods to enrich my teaching practice.

I graduated from Georgetown University in May 2020 with a B.A. in Psychology and Business Administration. My biggest passion is writing, and I have owned a successful lifestyle blog for five years now, and I also love taking on writing opportunities with various digital brands and magazines.I absolutely love helping students craft essays that are well-written, organized, and still feel uniquely THEM. I strongly believe that everyone can write well and can produce an essay they are truly proud of; it just takes some focus and having someone to bounce ideas off of. That's where I come in!In addition to essay writing, I have tutored students in English, Math, and Psychology, and I have worked with dozens of students between the age of 8 and 20.I love bringing a playful approach to learning, and I really believe the key to success in any subject is finding ways to make it fun.I am so excited to coach you on the way to uncovering your fullest potential in whatever subject you are working to improve in!
I graduated summa cum laude from Georgetown University in May 2014, valedictorian of Georgetown College, with a BA in Psychology and minors in Art History and Business Administration. I have extensive tutoring and teaching experience. In high school I tutored middle school and high school students in Algebra, Geometry, French, Biology, History, and English. As a Peer Leader during my senior year of high school, I served as a student teacher in a sophomore health class, working with two of my peers to create and deliver about 60 full lessons. At Georgetown, I became a teaching assistant for a General Psychology survey course. In my role as an honors research assistant at a psychology laboratory on campus, I also helped to train incoming research assistant in laboratory procedures and study design. At Varsity, I tutor Algebra, Geometry, AP-level Statistics, as well as AB and IB-level Psychology. I am an empathetic tutor, as I strongly believe that subject matter expertise must be combined with a true understanding of a student’s learning style, strengths, weaknesses, and confidence level in order to create an effective learning environment.
I am a rising sophomore in Georgetown University's School of Foreign Service. I am majoring in security studies thinking about working in counterterrorism. As far as tutoring style, I think it is really important not to give the student the answers but to ask them questions and help them come up with strategies to get to the answer for themselves; the goal is to make myself unnecessary in a way. My strengths (in school and tutoring) are in foreign languages including Latin and humanitiesexpect a very enthusiastic tutor especially if we are talking about Shakespeare! I also think it is important to try and frame things in a context students are used to, so if that means watching She's the Man in order to understand Twelfth Night, then that's what we will do (although we do have to read the actual play as well). If that sounds like something you could use, get in touch!
I am a rising Sophomore at Georgetown University and I am double-majoring in Economics and Political Science with a minor in Statistics. Over the past few years I have spent much of time time working on my public speaking/writing skills during my time in Speech and Debate. I am most passionate about math and current events, and I have a substantial amount of experience with almost all forms of standardized testing. I am a firm proponent of education, believing it to be absolutely necessary for an improved quality of life, and I try to impart this appreciation to all of my students. In my spare time, I enjoy reading, watching Netflix, basketball, and skiing!

My specialty is language development particularly in the early years. Let's connect today!
Hi!My name is Casey and I am a current junior at Georgetown University studying physics and economics. The majority of my educational background is in math and science but I have a solid understanding of subjects across the board. I really enjoy working with people to break up challenging concepts into small and digestible pieces. I know the value in one-on-one help when trying to understanding a topic that one might find difficult, and would be happy to be there to answer any and all questions.I have had informal tutoring experience, as well as jobs as a ski instructor and camp counselor working with kids. Additionally, my on-campus job is in tech support, and since they did all their own training the only real criteria for hiring was the ability to explain complicated processes in simple terms. Unfortunately, we were all sent home from Georgetown due to Corona, this I have a lot of spare time this semester and would love to spend it helping students who might need a little extra attention!I am currently studying physics and economics at Georgetown University. Both subjects, especially physics, require a high-level math understanding. Most importantly, the require one to be very confident in all previous math learned for a strong foundation to build upon for new concepts. I have always been told by teachers that my submitted explanations for problems done in their class were neat and easy to follow. As a side note, due to my course of study, I have long been the first message sent when my friends need help with any math involved in their classes. Please feel free to reach out if you would like any more information or to see if I would be a good fit. I am excited to meet (or e-meet) any potential student and start to increase any area of their academic confidence that may feel like its a little behind!
I'm retired from a long career in international business, with over 25 years living and working in Latin America. When teaching Spanish, I carefully consider the student's personal goals for learning the language. Is it to be able to communicate at work? Prepare for a test? Read academic texts in Spanish? Prepare for a mission trip? The student's goals will always guide my teaching approach because our success will be measured by attaining those goals.
I am a rising junior at Georgetown University majoring in Biology on the pre-medical track, with a deep passion for the sciences that extends beyond the classroom. I have extensive experience tutoring high school students in math through AP Calculus AB, as well as in science subjects such as Chemistry and AP Biology. Additionally, I excelled in AP English Literature, AP English Language, and AP U.S. History, and I am enthusiastic about supporting students in these areas as well. I particularly enjoy helping with writing of all kinds, including college essays, where I work closely with students to help them articulate their ideas clearly, confidently, and effectively. Beyond academics, I have hands-on experience working with children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) through an extended school year program. This role helped me develop patience, adaptability, and a deep appreciation for individualized learning approaches. I am genuinely excited about the opportunity to support students in achieving their academic goals and building confidence in their abilities.

I'm currently an undergraduate at Georgetown University majoring in Neurobiology on the pre-med track. Originally from the Research Triangle in North Carolina (Tar Heel state!), I graduated high school from Cary Academy. My area of expertise includes middle school subjects, high school/college Biology, high school/college Chemistry, and SAT test prep. I look forward to helping students build confidence and deepen their understanding in these challenging subjects. I believe in humor, practice, and positive reinforcement to help students grow inside and outside the classroom. I am also a lab research assistant studying Multiple Sclerosis (MS). As a college student, I'd be happy to give insights to the college application system and college experience. In my free time, you can find me on long walks/runs, cafe hopping, thrifting, playing any racket sports, and exploring places with my camera!
Hello, and thank you for visiting my profile! I'm a Georgetown University graduate with a degree in finance, and I've spent over 25 years in commercial banking applying mathematical concepts to real-world financial decision-making. My tutoring journey began over 15 years ago when I started teaching my own son math in middle school. I guided him through algebra, geometry, and advanced topics all the way through his SAT preparation. He went on to score well, earn admission to Georgetown University, and graduated just a couple of years ago. That experience showed me how much I enjoy teaching, and it was incredibly rewarding to see his confidence grow and his skills develop year after year. It also sparked my passion for helping other students build strong foundations in math and achieve their own academic goals. Since then, I've combined my professional experience in finance and banking with my love of teaching to help students succeed in subjects ranging from Algebra I and II to Pre-Calculus, Calculus, and SAT Math. My approach is structured but supportive: I start with a quick assessment, identify areas for growth, and then break complex concepts into clear, manageable steps. I use official SAT practice materials, error logs, and targeted strategies to improve both accuracy and timing. Whether a student is aiming to strengthen fundamentals or reach a top percentile score, my goal is to build both skills and confidence so they can perform at their very best. If you are looking for a tutor who combines deep expertise with a supportive, results-driven approach, I would be honored to work with you.
Before Varsity Tutors, I worked with underprivilieged students from kindergarten through 8th grade in all subjects. I often find that students struggle because they lack confidence which leads to test anxiety and frustration. I try to address these issues by teaching in a way that is in line with the student's learning style. Although I maintain high expectations for all students, I like to create a fun and relaxed environment to make it as least stressful as possible.I am currently taking prerequisite classes in preparation for a graduate program in Speech-Language Pathology. I graduated in 2010 from Georgetown University with a degree in linguistics with a concentration in education.
Hi, my name is Zach! I am a recent college graduate, having obtained a bachelor's degree with honors in International Politics from Georgetown University's Edmund A. Walsh School of Foreign Service. I am currently enrolled in graduate school, pursuing a master's degree in Global, International, and Comparative History (also from Georgetown). My education has afforded me exposure to a wide variety of advanced history, international relations, and government courses, ranging from Global History and U.S. as a World Power to Congressional Politics and Comparative Political Systems. I am also experienced in academic research, having produced a senior thesis examining electoral politics and military policy. For each of the course topics I plan on tutoring, I have an ample degree of experience myself. I have taken AP United States History, AP American Government and Politics, and AP World History, in addition to a number of civics and English classes. I am also an alumnus of the International Baccalaureate (IB) Program, providing me with a globalized academic perspective. I have acquired considerable mentorship/teaching credentials over the past several years. Having tutored elementary, middle, and high schoolers both online and in-person, the ability to instruct and engage with students is a muscle I have actively toned. I also work periodically as a substitute teacher for K-12 classes, dealing with students of all nearly all ages and educational backgrounds. As a veteran of speech and debate, I do my best to captivate the classroom and make learning an enjoyable experience. Helping to bring young people out of their shell and make them invested in course content is a goal I set for myself universally.
I am a senior at Georgetown University pursuing a bachelors degree in Biology of Global Health with a pre-medical concentration. My experience includes tutoring and coaching lacrosse to kids ages 5 to 16 for the last 5 years. I am enthusiastic, patient, relaxed, and organized. I really enjoy tutoring the following subjects: Biology, Spanish, Math, English/Writing, and U.S. History. I have always had a passion for science, particularly biology, which is one of the reasons that I plan to attend medical school in a few years. Writing is one of my favorite subjects to tutor as my liberal arts education at Georgetown has taught me how to successfully write papers, articles, and essays for biology, chemistry, history, philosophy, and psychology. I am currently working with a professor and another colleague to publish a project that we have developed that uses ethical leadership as a framework for the Olympic games to address health issues within a host country.Outside of tutoring and being a student, I enjoy playing and coaching sports like lacrosse, volleyball, basketball, kickboxing, and snowboarding. I currently play lacrosse for Georgetown and coach locally. My experiences on teams and as a collegiate athlete have taught me communication, leadership, and organizational skills. These experiences have shaped much of my tutoring philosophy. I believe that patience and positive motivation are crucial to helping students achieve their academic or athletic goals. At the same time, as a student and athlete I know that practice and repetition are the keys to fully understanding whatever material is being taught. As a tutor, it is my responsibility to offer a variety of tools and concepts in order for a student to find the best method to reach their academic goals and to build confidence.
Originally from the Boston area, I completed my undergrad degree at Georgetown University in Washington where I focused on Marketing, International Business, and Spanish. I have lived and worked in Boston, Spain, Belgium, Washington, Brazil, and Afghanistan. I completed an MBA in Finance and International Management at Boston University in 2012 and am recently back in the Boston area again. I enjoy traveling and adventure.
I am a sophomore at Georgetown University studying Spanish and Justice and Peace Studies, working toward a Bachelor of Arts degree. I love having the opportunity to assist my peers or younger students in subjects like English, Spanish, and Linguistics due to my own personal love for learning, and my teaching style is very collaborative to allow students to feel comfortable and supported in their learning. Spanish is my absolute favorite subject to tutor because I fell in love with the language and culture, and I would love to be able to help other students do the same. In my spare time, I love to read, write, and play with my pets.
Hello! I am a third-year law student at Georgetown Law looking to provide academic and test-prep advice. I have applied to undergraduate schools and law school and have lots of experience going through the application process. I know it can be a stressful time, and I'd love to help however I can. This includes the SAT, ACT, and LSAT, all of which I have done well on (1550 / 35 / 174). I'm also happy to help with various academic subjects, particularly statistics and math up to AP Calculus; writing and grammar; and Latin. Look forward to meeting you all!
I am a BS in Biochemistry and recent graduate from a very rigorous program at Georgetown University where I have taken the first-year medical school curriculum (scoring in the top 2% of the class), receiving a Master's of Science degree in Physiology and Biophysics. Ever since I was a child, I have been wildly inquisitive. I was the annoying classmate who always raised their hand and had to know why everything was the way it is and worked the way it did before we moved on. My tutoring style works the same way. I do *not* believe in memorization and have textbooks as clear as yesterday engrained in my head years after learning them is because of taking time to break concepts down to their simplest ideas and building upwards. By breaking complex concepts into their basic subunits, and explaining the purpose of each unit and how and why it works, it creates connections in the brain (schema) and writes into long term memory. Most of my students have mastered concepts so much, after getting an A in their class, they went on to tutor the subject themselves. My expertise lies in the premedical and science curriculum: Chemistry (general, organic, and physical); Biology (general, cell, and molecular); Biochemistry and Metabolism; Physics (1 and 2); Math (precalculus to calculus 3); and SAT/GRE/MCAT prep. Having a strong background in all of these subjects is invaluable in a tutor, because there is an immense amount of crossing over in the sciences. Without math, you cannot understand physics or chemistry, and without chemistry, you cannot master biology. With my help, I will ensure you have true mastery of all of your material as well.Aside from the sciences, I have a deep love for classical music (particularly the Romantic era), and am a competitive pianist and composer. I also love to garden (feel free to ask for pictures any time) and have recently fundraised and planted a rose garden for a DC homeless shelter I play piano for every week (as part of their sound empowerment program).I look forward to working with you!
I am a recent graduate of Georgetown University, where I received my Bachelor of Science in International Affairs with a focus on the intersection of the environment and international politics in the former Soviet Union. I am an intrepid traveler and have visited 26 countries, mostly in Eastern Europe and Central Asia. I tutor a broad range of subjects, but I am most passionate about literature, writing, and social studies. When it comes to tutoring for Standardized Tests, I love working with students to perfect their essays and doing math drills. Outside of tutoring, my interests and hobbies include studying languages, drawing, reading (Russian literature and presidential biographies).
In today's increasingly global society, the ability to communicate efficiently is more important than ever. Mandarin is the single most spoken language in the world, not only among China's 1.6 billion people, but can be found in even the small corners of the world via Chinese who have left home to open businesses in other nations. Chinese restaurants are ubiquitous in every nation on earth, and there are Chinese-speaking people in every profession. To be able to speak Mandarin understandably is a skill that can benefit any individual in too many areas to list.Speaking Mandarin is not as simple as taking Chinese language courses. Written Mandarin is 'formal', and a stilted way of talking. As a single syllable language, where all words are differentiated by 'tones', incorrect pronunciation of those tones can lead to small, and large, communication misunderstandings.Conversational Mandarin is different from written Mandarin. The only way to learn, is to actually do it. Not one word at a time, but one sentence, one paragraph at a time. This not only provides the words and the correct grammatical structure, it is also easier to remember, because you have a context for those random sounds. Using a language makes you more confident of your speaking skills, and makes further learning that much easier.I am a native Chinese speaker, with no accent in either English or Chinese. I learned both languages simultaneously. I continually spoke/speak Mandarin at home, and of course, English everywhere else. This ensures that my ability to speak, as vocabulary and pronunciation do not change over time. To this day, my mom reinforces my language skills by enforcing the rule that if I want to communicate with her, I will speak in Mandarin only! I love talking to my mom, and we talk every single day. My mom was a journalist in Taiwan before moving to the US, her Mandarin diction is the standard which newscasters in China and Taiwan still follow. My degree is from Georgetown University, School of Foreign Service. My Major was International Politics, Law and Organization (the same degree as Bill Clinton's). This gives me a foundation in understanding not only language, but its usage and application in context. I am well aware of the difference between 'learning' a language, and 'communicating' in a language. I took 5 years of German in High School, scored a 90 on my AATG Language Proficiency test, which is 'native speaker' level German. It was painful for me to have a casual conversation with a German speaker, because I had insufficient practical and casual speaking practice. Over the years, this early deficiency made me hesitant to practice and I eventually lost motivation to keep up with it. We typically learn languages out of context for their common usage, and this is where a tutor can help. Use it or lose it. The more comfortable you are using it, the more likely you will.Currently, I am a licensed Florida real estate agent. I enjoy helping students with mandarin because I believe that better communication with other cultures benefits everyone, and my own children are now college aged. If you took the time to learn mandarin, I can probably help you reinforce it enough that you will always have a functional base to expand on.I will first evaluate what the student wants to accomplish. Do you wish to learn Mandarin for travel? For negotiating business deals? To understand the culture better, or work with colleagues in the medical, archeological, scientific, engineering professions? (for this, I will need a list of specific terminology used in your profession to review). I can work up a tutoring plan that is tailored for that specific students and their needs, after evaluating in a few sessions exactly where your specific deficiencies are. After every session, my student should walk away with more language confidence, and a very specific verbal response set for a particular purpose.I do not teach written Chinese characters. I only cover verbal pronunciation, correct conversational form, both formal and informal. The only written form I would go over is the Hanyu Pinyin system (roman alphabetized written form). In many major cities in China and Taiwan, many street signs and businesses use pinyin spelled out, so learning pinyin can be more than just a helpful phonetic/memory exercise.I request that all students have already taken some Chinese, so it is not entirely new, and we are working on being able to converse understandably for your specific needs. How long this process takes is up to you, based on how quickly you learn, your focus and dedication, and how much effort you spend reviewing and practicing what you have learned. I look forward to hearing from you!
Hello there! I offer a no-stress, judgment-free environment, and I want to work with you in the ways that fit you best. When it comes to explaining the fundamentals, I'll support you in math and psychology; when it comes to biology, I'll help you conquer the nitty-gritty; and when it comes to reading analysis and writing skills, I'll help you shine. I'd be happy to work with you, regardless of age or background. Thanks for passing by, and have a nice day!
I'm a second year medical student with a strong foundation in math and science. I've always enjoyed teaching and helping others. I have experience with multiple standardized tests and many different age groups. I look forward to working with you!
I am a PhD student at Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health. In 2025, I completed my Masters of Science student at Georgetown University studying Infectious Disease with a 4.0 GPA. In 2024, I graduated from Vanderbilt University with my bachelors degree as a triple major in Molecular and Cellular Biology, Political Science, and Communications of Science and Technology. While at Vanderbilt, I was a Teaching Assistant in both the Department of Biology where I taught Introduction to Biology, and the Department of Political Science where I worked with students studying Middle East Politics. In these roles, I directly engaged with students to enhance their comprehension of each subject, refine their written communication abilities, and bolster their note-taking and test-taking skills. I was also captain of Vanderbilt's Debate Team for two years and am extremely passionate about effective communication and respectful discourse. In this role, I taught college and elementary school students the art of argumentation and debate while emphasizing the significance of public speaking in contemporary society. While I am qualified to tutor a broad range of subjects and students, I am most passionate about tutoring mathematics and science. Through my experience as a high school tutor and college teaching assistant, I've directly observed the challenges students face in grasping these subjects, particularly at early education levels or among those with learning differences. Without sufficient practice and assistance, students can fall behind and lose their love of learning. I firmly believe that our natural curiosity and love of learning should be harnessed in the classroom, not dampened down. In pursuit of this, I encourage creative thinking and problem-solving and use various pedagogy techniques, such as active recall, to engage students in my classroom and tutoring sessions.
