Outside of that, I weekly tutored an eighth-grade student in math in my sophomore year.Evidently, math subjects are my forte, but test prep and test taking are among my strong suits as well.I find tutoring to be incredibly rewarding and dynamic; both of which I consider myself lucky to experience in a work.

I believe that everyone learns in a slightly different way. As a tutor it is crucial for me to identify the way in which my students learn best and instruct them in a way that is complimentary to their primary instruction. I have a diverse educational background and am currently completing my JD/MBA. Prior to coming to Emory for Grad School, I graduated in 3 years from the University of Central Florida. While I enjoy learning now, that wasn't always the case and I am very sympathetic to students who find some subjects to be particularly taxing. I understand what it feels like to be frustrated and feel like you will never master a topic or subject. Whether you need help with Middle or High School classes, or are preparing to take the SAT, ACT, LSAT or GMAT, I would love to help you or your student achieve your academic goals.

As a current M.A candidate, I strongly believe in education empowerment and the gift of knowledge. I've been involved in the education in a myriad of ways: I've taught both in the States and abroad, tutored, trained teachers, taken academic courses, and worked with education policy.Half of learning is understanding the material, and the other half is understanding yourself and how you need to relate to the material. I think a well rounded, successful student needs to focus on both aspects in order to be prepared for a lifetime of learning, and I'd love to help each and every student in their pursuit of that "lightbulb" moment.

Hello there! I am an aspiring dentist currently in my second year of dental school at Tufts University School of Dental Medicine. As an undergraduate, I dual majored in Neuroscience and Biology at Emory University. I absolutely love working with students of all ages, especially in middle and high school. I have had tutoring experience since I was in high school. I believe students learn best when taught by a peer with a thorough understanding of the subject at hand. I prefer to guide the student through the learning experience by teaching them the concepts behind each problem. Problem solving can be approached from many directions and I respect how each person approaches and solves a problem. I am looking forward to working closely with parents and students to develop a lesson plan catered to each student to help them do better in school and feel more self-confident about their scholastic achievements.

I am a graduate of Emory University and received a Bachelor of Science in both Biology and Anthropology. My collegiate coursework focused heavily on the biological sciences, including evolutionary Biology, Microbiology, Ecology, Biological Anthropology and Math. I have been passionate about science since I was a child and have always enjoyed sharing that passion with others. As a long-time member of the Boy Scouts of America and with three younger brothers, mentoring and teaching has been a large part of my life and something I sincerely enjoy. It is my wish to not only help others gain factual knowledge, but to ignite an academic curiosity and the determination to constantly discover more about the world around us. Connecting with the student is of utmost importance. A mutual trust is necessary in order to not only help the student learn, but to help them become most confident in their great abilities. While not tutoring, I enjoy hiking and camping, and am currently planning to pursue a graduate degree in the field of development.
