Study Skills and Organization Tutoring review by Adeyeni in Connecticut
We reviewed notebook planning and organization tips. The student did well on his recent math and history quizzes. We reviewed his math homework and prepared for his Biology exam (reviewed notes, elaborated on and identified important concepts in the book, Q/A).

Today the student and I went through his agenda to see what he had coming up for the rest of the week and into next week. He has done a great job of writing in his agenda this week and I further emphasized adding all his due dates into the agenda. He and I worked on his science homework and math homework. We took a large assignment that is due next week and divided it up so he can do a little bit every day and avoid being overwhelmed at the last minute. The student is working really hard and is very receptive to all of my suggestions. When I see him again on Sunday I will help him organize his social studies binder and check to see that he is staying on task with the goals we set this evening.

Study Skills and Organization Tutoring review by Joseph in Connecticut
Tonight I helped the student prepare for his civics quiz on Friday. We reviewed key concepts from chapter 3 and then discussed important terms from the chapter. Eventually, we finished the chapter and I gave him a definition to which he had to provide each term. There were only a few words he missed, so I encouraged him to look over the key terms tomorrow so that he can do his best on the quiz.

The student and I had a good session today. He was positive and ready to work on his homework. We started by working through his World History assignments, which he completely mostly independently. The majority of the time we worked on studying for the History quiz tomorrow. The student did very well on this and overall, I'm glad that he and I are working together on this. Looking forward to seeing him next week!

Study Skills and Organization Tutoring review by Jessica in Connecticut
The student had a bit of a backslide over the weekend in terms of staying on top of his work, but we were able to make a sizable dent in his list of tasks. Luckily, he did complete the English questions about the Crucible film. He had four chemistry assignments that were late, two of which he had begun in class. I had him finish the work that he had not yet started and left him with the two partly finished assignments. His chemistry grade had dropped to a D because of the missing assignments. I also prepared the work we'll do tomorrow in order to get some additional math practice in before his test and finish the assignment on finding complex roots of polynomials. I hope that he is as confident about math as he was last Thursday!
