Spanish Tutoring review by Lizeth in Madison, WI
Today we were practicing the conjugation of regular verbs ending in ar in present tense. The strategies to practice the verbs was through 2 different games. One was picking a letter of the alphabet and then thinking in a verb that starts with that letter and then conjugate it. If he didn't have any mistakes then he was able to put a mark on the tic tac toe, and backwards, and the other game was creating a story using action cards. He did a great job. For homework, I told him that he must read a story of his book of heroes every day.

Spanish Tutoring review by Chelsea in Madison, WI
We began today's session reviewing the student's practice work -- listening to a Spanish podcast about the city of Madrid and writing a reflection journal about the piece. Next we covered possessive adjectives and possessive pronouns. Once she grasped the concept of gender and number agreement, she did very well with this lesson. We then worked on some practice activities using irregular present tense verbs and a paragraph completion using all preterite tense forms. The remainder of the session was spent practicing Spanish conversation on the topic of "our cities" and using newly learned vocabulary to make comparisons and describe characteristics of the city. I assigned her a new podcast (El fin de semana), and asked her to write a new reflection journal. I also assigned a practice worksheet on possessive pronouns and some Spanish to English translation practice.

Spanish Tutoring review by Jessica in Madison, WI
The student and I covered the imperfect and preterite tenses for her review test tomorrow. She did a great job and could easily remember the different uses, meanings, stem changes, and conjugations of the verbs. We practiced by orally saying these conjugations and also practiced using a fill in the blank word document. She needed to conjugate irregular verbs, regular, and decide which tense to use. She will do great tomorrow. Good luck!
