I am a recent graduate of the University of California, Berkeley. I majored in history and completed a high honors awarded thesis. I am passionate about academia and education. In university I taught my own accredited course and worked as a research apprentice. I also work as an essay specialist helping high school students with their college admissions and scholarship essays. I am excited to bring my teaching and educational experience to you.

Garrett Hazelwood recently completed a term as interim prose editor of The Southern Review. His MFA is from Louisiana State University, where he taught English composition and was the 2017 and 2018 recipient of the Kent Gramm MFA Award for Literary Nonfiction.
