I love learning and taking on new challenges and this is why being a tutor means so much to me personally. If I can help someone else achieve their dreams and educational goals, it makes all the work I have put into my own education even more worth it. I have worked with students in a variety of settings, including a Faculty Instructor position and tutoring students for NCLEX prep. I have worked with students of all ages and have a passion for education that shows in my approach to tutoring. I aspire to help my students reach their goals, while also building confidence that will help in their future profession. I believe that every student learns differently, and I am very willing to adapt my approach to meet the needs of each specific student in order to achieve their educational goals. I am currently working as a BSN Instructor in both clinical and lab simulation environments, and also am a doctoral candidate at the University of Central Florida earning my DNP in Advanced Practice Nursing. My current degrees include a BA in Forensic Anthropology (2006), AS in Mortuary Science (2008), AS in Nursing (2016), BS in Nursing (2017), MS in Nursing (2020). My MS in Nursing was to become a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner, and I will be sitting for board certification in March 2021. I also hold a Crime Scene Investigation (2006) and an Infant & Family Mental Health Certificate (2020). My educational history was at the University of Central Florida, University of South Florida, St. Petersburg College, and Pasco-Hernando State College. I tutor mostly nursing focused courses, as this is my area of expertise. My favorite subjects to tutor are Anatomy, Physiology, Health Promotion, Pharmacology, and NCLEX prep. Outside of my time spent homeschooling my 1st grader, working as a BSN Instructor, and being a student myself, I love spending time outside. Our weekends are filled with camping, hiking, biking, playing with our dogs, and paddleboarding at some of the beautiful springs here in Florida. My family loves to explore and travel to the mountains. We look forward to the time when it is safe to travel again and explore new places!
