As a current college student at UTSA working towards both Computer Science and Biomedical Engineering degrees, as well as a graduate of Carnegie Vanguard High School, I have an in-depth experience with advanced STEM topics. I have always tutored my peers when they've needed it and also have experience volunteering in both classroom and one-on-one tutoring.

I believe in creating the best for ourselves. The world is a difficult place that we underestimate when we are young. At every corner we shall be tested. With a positive attitude, discipline and hard work we can overcome those obstacles. But we should find ways to enjoy ourselves in the process. I am a 2024 college graduate with a bachelor's degree. My focuses are Business, Mechanical Engineering and Mathematics. I am enthusiastic, friendly and have a strong interest in Math and English, as well as a seasoned background in these subjects. I received my bachelor's in communications from the University of Maryland Global Campus while traveling the world as a military spouse. Traveling allowed me to experience different cultures and new ways of learning. The other is a master's in public health at Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center, where I am in my first semester. Since I have experience in both on campus and a distance learning, I have an edge when it comes to the type of learning needed to succeed. My experience with students started as a middle schooler who was asked to tutor a Korean boy in English. Moving on from there, I tutored informally throughout high school and college. I currently work with other graduate students. I tutor in English, communications (including media and journalism), human resources, and English as a second language. When I am not working or working on schoolwork, I enjoy spending time with my three children and grandbaby, as well as my husband. I have been teaching Basic Writing and English classes for several years, along with Literature courses. My experience with tutoring comes from when I was a graduate student. I worked as a tutor for the Athletic department. As a tutor, I would work with those students that had missed class the day of the lessons they needed. I reviewed papers and assessed learning. As an instructor, I learned this to be valuable in the classroom. I often held workshops that would require students to exchange their papers with one another. This would help them learn how to catch the mistakes in their own papers as they often did not see it in their own work. I am an experienced teacher, lover of languages, and taco enthusiast. Born and raised in Texas, I recognized the value of bilingualism from a young age, as well as my interest in teaching.
