I am passionate about math and I want to share my knowledge with my students. My objective is: friendly and achievement-oriented learning environment. For the last 12 years I have been teaching finite math and calculus courses at Suffolk University (Boston MA).

My name is Monique Witter, and I am a graduate of both the Syracuse University School of Education and the Syracuse University College of Law, where I earned my Bachelor of Science in Health and Exercise Science and my Juris Doctor. While in undergrad, I pursued a pre-physical therapy track before transitioning into the legal field. Since graduating from law school, I have successfully passed both the New York and California State Bar Exams. I am especially passionate about supporting students through the college and graduate school admissions process it's one of the most rewarding parts of my work. My connection to Varsity Tutors is personal and meaningful: as a student, I was tutored by a Varsity Tutor who remains a mentor and close friend to this day. That experience continues to inspire the work I do with students today.

I'm excited to work with kids to expand their knowledge and love of learning. I recently graduated with a 3.6 GPA from the S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications at Syracuse University, which is regarded as arguably the top communications program in the country. This comes after graduating from North Hunterdon High School with a 3.8 GPA and a 2140 composite SAT score. My best subject on the SAT was math, although I also scored highly on both the reading comprehension and writing sections. I also took the LSAT this year, scoring a 168 (96th percentile), which I actually found frustrating because it was lower than every single one of my practice tests (with my personal best being a 174). Because of this, I learned from my mistakes and am able to tutor both the subject matter of the LSAT as well as how to prepare for the test. I will be attending Vanderbilt Law School on a majority scholarship in the Fall. I have plenty of experience both in school and teaching friends and classmates material, as I tutored in college as well. I am a very friendly and outgoing person who likes to have fun, but also knows when to work and how to do so efficiently. I'm very excited aboutand grateful forthis opportunity to help others learn.

Hi! I'm a freshman at Syracuse University, majoring in History and Political Science (both with concentrations in America) and minoring in Psychology. I have plans to attend law school once I graduate to study civil rights litigation. Someday I even hope to run for political office!I'm quite the busy bee, and I love it! I thoroughly enjoy having a jam packed schedule, it helps me manage my time better. On campus I'm on the executive board for the Syracuse Animal Rights Organization. Activism was always something I dabbled in, but being apart of this club has really helped me grow as not only an activist, but as a person. I'm also a DJ at two radio stations on campus (you should DEFINITELY tune in) and I'm apart of the Advocacy Committee for Syracuse University's branch of UNICEF. Next semester I'll be doing all of that AND picking up a local political office internship as well as hopefully assisting with psychology research with one of my professors! I have such diverse interests that we're practically bound to have something in common! In my little free time I can be found binge watching The Office and Parks and Rec on Netflix and drinking as much coffee and tea as humanly possible.I have big aspirations and I'm constantly striving to make them a reality, but I also really love helping people.
