I maintained correspondence between Laboratory Response Network and the Korean National Lab. Currently I am a graduate student at Rutgers New Jersey Medical School. I've travelled the world mentoring students in Japan, forging houses in India, founding soccer programs in Costa Rica, and graduating teen moms in Texas. I knew I wanted to be a teacher since I was in 5th grade. I graduated Rutgers University with a B.A. in History and Education (double major) and then earned an M.A. in Social Studies Education from the state institution. I also have 30 credits in middle school literacy and ELA.I have been a classroom teacher for 24 years and have taught from 2nd grade through college. I currently teach high school social studies. I am a top graduate of Rutgers University and hold a Doctorate in Physical Therapy. Although I am a practicing clinician, I also love to teach and tutor. I have had several years of teaching experience, including a variety of teaching experiences throughout my undergraduate and my doctorate program. I carry a bachelor's degree from Rutgers University and I'm applying to dental school. I'm a tutor at my university's learning center and have experience as a chemistry lab teaching assistant. My favorite aspect of tutoring is being able to relieve a student of their worries and assure them that they're completely capable of comprehending the material if they simply dedicate enough time to practice. I myself, was an average student in high school, however once I got to university I really applied myself and worked hard to get to where I'm at now. I started out taking basic classes and constantly going to the tutoring center as well as my professors' office hours. Building a solid base in these lower level courses helped me understand more difficult material in higher level classes to come. Once I started to take higher level science classes I was towards the top of the class in subjects like chemistry and physics (classes have 100-200 + students). Building a solid understanding of the basics is the key to success. I tutor general chemistry, organic chemistry, biology, algebra and test prep for the DAT. I especially enjoy tutoring chemistry which I view as being the central science in understanding the fundamentals of how the universe works at the smallest level. I can confidently help students with the DAT having scored well myself (I can provide documentation of my score). When I tutor a student I first like to hear from them what they understand and then build from there. I find this is efficient because we don't spend time on something he/she already understands and can dedicate time to learning new information. I then like to walk them through an example or two and supervise them while they attempt some problems on their own. I truly look forward to working with you and just remember that you're capable of doing anything you put your mind to!

I have a degree in Biomedical Engineering and a Masters in Prosthetics and Orthotics. With this background it has trained me to think differently. It has also taught me that there is no one right way to do something. I developed a love for tutoring when I was in high school working with my mom at her tutoring center. I was also a manager in college working in the student centers. So I know that everyone does not learn or communicate the same. My challenge was finding the best to demonstrate what was needed based on their learning style. I love challenges and my goal is to demystify math for your learner.

While I initially stumbled upon my knack for tutoring by teaching others as a method of studying for my own courses, I soon discovered that I had a natural ability to communicate information to others and to help people understand subjects they had previously struggled with.As a Master of Fine Arts candidate in Creative Writing at Rutgers University, with a Bachelor of Arts degree in English (2018), I am often the first person my peers go to for help understanding difficult literature, reviewing their essays, or tackling a difficult writing prompt. Through that, I now see that tutoring is a wonderful way for me to combine my enthusiasm for reading and writing, my success as a graduate student, and my desire to help others. I hope to not only help my clients achieve a better understanding, but to pass on my own enthusiasm for literature and learning.When I am not in class or working as a nanny in the mornings, I enjoy writing poetry, playing with my kitten, and exploring new neighborhoods around me. I am also a music enthusiast, and can always be found singing, listening to my favorite artists, or browsing for up-and-coming bands. After I complete my Master of Fine Arts degree in Creative Writing in 2021, I plan on pursuing my dreams to publish my own book of poetry.
