I am a rising junior at Princeton University pursuing a Bachelors of Arts in Philosophy with a certificate in Statistics and Machine Learning. I am highly passionate about education: during the academic year, I serve as a volunteer tutor for the Petey Greene Program, which provides educational assistance to those incarcerated in New Jersey prisons; after graduation, I hope to work toward becoming a high school mathematics teacher. I graduated from Princeton University in the Spring, where I received a B.A. in Ecology & Evolutionary Biology with minors in Global Health & Health Policy and Gender & Sexuality Studies. I have been tutoring since 2006, when I joined a program tutoring with a local middle school. Since then, I have worked with high school and college students in a broad variety of subjects. After growing up in Milwaukee, Wisconsin and attending college on the east coast at Princeton University, the warm weather of Houston is a nice change of pace! I have lived in Houston since January of 2015 and have come to love the city. At Princeton, I was a four-year member and senior co-captain of the women's crew team. My passion for the sport led me to coach both high school and middle school students in my hometown of Milwaukee, and I loved working with the students and helping them achieve their goals. I am incredibly excited to be working with students once again! Outside of work and tutoring, I love cheering on the Green Bay Packers, exploring the city and watching the food network.

As a non-native speaker of Spanish and French, I recognize the immensely positive impact learning foreign languages can have on one's life. However, learning foreign languages is a challenging, long term process that requires dedication. That dedication is not just the responsibility of the student, but of language teachers as well. I was valedictorian of my high school class and continued my education at Princeton University where I received an A.B in Psychology. It is a modern re-telling of a classic Korean folk-tale and involves shamanism, loss, and empowerment.
