As a certified teacher with 20 plus years of teaching experience, I consider myself a lifelong learner. I began my academic career shortly after graduating from high school and received my Associate in Science degree in Court Reporting Technology in 1992. After working with the Civil and Criminal court systems in Miami. I quickly knew I wanted more growth in my college academics and began diligently pursuing my calling to teach! I continued at Miami Dade College and upgraded my AS degree to an Associate in Arts degree, graduating in 1998. This would open the doors to getting into Florida Atlantic University. At FAU, I worked on my undergraduate degree in Psychology, and graduated in 2004. While attending classes at FAU, I taught in the classrooms with the public-school systems. With much faith, perseverance, and a steadfast attitude, I continued to pursue my calling to teach, I became a certified teacher, and attended graduate school! I am a successful graduate of the Inaugural class with a Master of Science in Curriculum & Instruction with a specialization in Early and Middle Childhood Education, from the Adrian Dominican School of Education at Barry University. I proudly graduated Suma Cum Laude in 2013 from Barry University. I stayed teaching in the Public School system for approximately 10 + years. I left with the desire to experience different academic arenas, which I have successfully accomplished as a classroom teacher. I now have knowledge and have taught with the charter school systems, private schools, and religious schools from grades Pre-K- 8th since 2000.However, with the Pandemic, I began tutoring/teaching with a company until presently via zoom and in person. This experience would lead me to create and run my own tutoring business where I teach students from Pre-K to 8th grade via zoom and in person in Reading, Writing, and Mathematics. I also have the opportunity to teach ESOL adults who are looking to learn English. My most successful experience as a teacher/tutor was from my student in Elementary Math. I tutored her afterschool when she was in elementary school and struggling in Math. Today she is a married mom of two and herself an Elementary school Math teacher! She lovingly reminds me that her success began with me believing in her and challenging her to blossom successfully to who she is today! Until her teen years I guided, mentored, tutored, and taught her to achieve the success she has today!I also have distinguished awards in 2002 from FAU called the Broward Achievement Award awarded for student leadership as a role model to students and the community. I was also awarded a Certificate of Achievement from Florida Atlantic University in 2002 Awarded for demonstrating distinguished excellence in personal and professional endeavors, as well as dedication and commitment to helping others. More recently I received "Most Valuable Teacher" award from Avant Garde Academy in 2020.I conclude by informing you how humbled and grateful I am for my calling to teach! I look forward to lovingly challenge my students to reach their maximum learning potential while watching them blossom in their areas of struggle.

I've been an admissions counselor for the past 15 years and it's been an honor to help students achieve their educational goals. My ambition though is to prepare students for college and/or University through writing/english. I hold two graduate degrees, one in Humanities and the other in Visual Arts. I'm working towards becoming an Art History Professor for a College or University. It's never too late to do what you love! I love writing about art and inspiring others! In my Visual Arts degree I concentrated in Photography and I'm more than happy to teach you the basics and help you create an online portfolio. My main emphasis with Tutoring is English as it is an important part of everyday life. You need writing to even apply for a job and express yourself confidently. English is important for writing a story, persuading, informing, or educating. You'll never know what others have to say or be able to express yourself otherwise. I also hold a Bachelors in Business Administration and can also help with business writing. Please don't hesitate to reach out to me for help in writing, grammar, citation, or anything with english or business related.

I am a graduate of Miami Dade College. I am currently working on my Bachelor of Science on Engineering. Since High School, I've been tutoring friends and family whenever needed. I generally tutor math related subjects and sciences too. Math is my favorite subject to teach because I like the fact that you can come up with the answer with more than one procedure. I'd say that in order to learn math, one must practice. If the subject is not well known, the more reason to practice; if the subject is known, then the problems will be solved fast.

I am a student at Miami Dade College, and I aim to transfer into Florida International University. I am pursuing a Bachelors degree in Physics and Philosophy, and more specifically Applied Physics and Philosophy of Science. Throughout my academic career I have increasingly become amazed at and passionate about the fundamental studies in the scientific field, such as pure mathematics, physics and chemistry. I tutored many of my classmates during my high school years and eventually became know as "the neighborhood tutor". Immediately after high school i began to tutor privately and have been doing so for two years. Aside from my own independent tutoring, I have worked as a math tutor in a separate tutoring company as well as a Physics assistant in my college where I helped various groups of students with college physics one and two.I have always found it a wonderful experience to introduce or develop a student's understanding of what I consider an exciting and unique perspective of the beautiful world around us. Aside from my primary interest in most science and math courses, I also have become rather adept with writing both explanatory and narrative essays. I hold education to be an intrinsic part of human existence-Humans are meant to learn. For this reason, I believe that teaching is really an internal process that happens within all of us, and my job as a tutor is only to act as a facilitator and catalyst to the powerful potential that exists within all people. Outside of my academic life, i enjoy playing the occasional game of soccer, jamming out on my trumpet, and practicing public speaking skills in both controlled and spontaneous settings.

As an aspiring educator and future speech-language pathologist, I am deeply passionate about supporting children in their learning journeys. Currently working as a substitute teacher, I have had the privilege of stepping into a variety of classrooms and seeing firsthand how different teaching styles, environments, and approaches can impact a child's educational experience. This exposure has fueled my desire to further my education and ultimately pursue a career in speech pathology, where I hope to make a meaningful difference in the lives of children by helping them overcome communication barriers. My time as a substitute teacher has been invaluable in shaping my understanding of how diverse student needs are, both in terms of academic and emotional support. I have learned that effective teaching is not one-size-fits-all; it requires adaptability, empathy, and patience. Whether it is a child struggling with reading, a student who needs extra help with social skills, or a class with varied learning levels, I have consistently worked to engage each student in ways that foster both their intellectual and personal growth. I am inspired by the small, incremental successes each child achieves, and this motivates me to continue honing my skills in education. While I have found deep fulfillment in the classroom, my interest in speech pathology emerged from my observation of how speech and communication challenges can profoundly affect a child's ability to succeed academically and socially. I am driven by the belief that all children, regardless of their challenges, should have the opportunity to express themselves, understand others, and fully engage in the learning process. Through my work as a substitute teacher, I've witnessed firsthand how speech and language difficulties can create roadblocks to academic success and peer relationships. This has sparked my desire to not only help children learn but to empower them with the communication tools they need to thrive in all aspects of life. I am excited about the opportunity to be part of a tutor program where I can continue developing my skills in education while also gaining more insight into how specialized programs, such as speech therapy, support children with diverse needs. This program aligns with my goal of combining a strong foundation in teaching with the specialized knowledge I plan to gain in speech pathology, ensuring that I can offer students a holistic approach to learning and growth. I believe that by making a difference in how children communicate, I can help create lasting positive impacts in their academic journeys and beyond. Ultimately, my goal is to earn a Master's degree in Speech Pathology and become a professional who not only helps children overcome speech and language challenges but also advocates for their broader needs in educational settings. I am committed to making a difference, one child at a time, and I am eager to further develop my skills as an educator and speech pathologist through this program.

I find immense joy in witnessing the "aha" moments of my students, that transformative instant when comprehension dawns and they realize their own progress. Guiding them through their learning journey fills me with a profound sense of fulfillment. Growing up, I navigated my education largely on my own, and that experience taught me the value of having a supportive mentor. Now, as a tutor, I aspire to be that bridge for my rising stars, easing their academic burdens and empowering them to reach their full potential. My approach to tutoring is marked by an infectious sense of fun and empathy. I tailor my teaching methods to suit each student's unique learning style, whether that involves weaving Bluey-themed examples or employing hands-on basketball analogies. With over three years of experience tutoring students aged 5 to 14, I've honed the ability to adapt my approach to accommodate learners of all ages. I see myself not just as a tutor, but as a guide and mentor, empowering students to develop a solid understanding of the subject matter. If a particular method isn't resonating with a student, I take it upon myself to explore alternative approaches until we find the perfect fit. My educational journey began at Miami Dade College (MDC) where I started taking dual enrollment classes at 13 years old. Graduating high school from the prestigious School for Advanced Studies (SAS) alongside completing my AA degree from MDC set the stage for my ongoing studies at the University of Florida. Currently a sophomore majoring in Behavior Analysis and minoring in Family, Youth and Community Sciences. In my tutoring practice, I specialize in K-8 mathematics, Algebra 1, and Python coding. Mathematics and Python hold a special place in my heart, each presenting its own unique challenges and opportunities for growth. Specifically, for Python, I revel in the rush and immense joy when a code finally works and when I grasp a new logic. Nothing tops that feeling, except perhaps witnessing that same exhilaration in my Rising Stars. Seeing them achieve their breakthrough moments, after striving so hard for it, is truly priceless. It reinforces my passion for guiding them towards success and fuels my dedication to their growth.

Ever since seventh grade, I have always wanted to be a math teacher. My seventh grade math teacher, inspired me to be like her. Before I took her class, I was not good at math. In third grade, I barely passed math with a D, and I had to go to summer school, but that didn't do much for me. My teacher made math seem very fun and interesting. Her metaphors and examples, also, made math easier to understand and follow. When I finished taking her class in seventh grade, I felt smart and confident. The feelings that I felt were so wonderful that I felt I needed to pass it on. I want to teach/tutor math because I want my future students to feel what my teacher made me feel; confidence. Students need to be more confident in math, but in order to make them feel that way, you have to teach using fun learning strategies. I want to create more interactive exercises that make math even more fun and easy to understand. My goal in life is to make children more confident in their mathematics.

I have been conducting sessions with multilevel students from different countries and backgrounds for more than 20 years. When I define a student I believe it is important to make my learning interesting and creative by personalizing activities and creating immersion atmospheres so that my learners can apply this situations into their every day lives. I have utterly concluded that students have multiple intelligences and that every one of us has the potential to be gifted, but this can present itself in many different ways. We as educators are the tools to trigger those endless talents by having the most appropriate learning style which best suits their intelligence.
