I have an MBA in Financing Entrepreneurial Ventures from Babson College and a BS in Environmental Engineering from MIT. I am a career entrepreneur and have started up several ventures. I did my undergraduate degree in Aerospace Engineering at MIT and also completed a Masters in Robotics from CMU. I work as a robotics engineer in Boston and also run an edtech startup on the side. To me, the key to education is inspiration, and so its not just about teaching material but also mentoring. Though I program robots, I'm definitely a people person, patient, and interested in helping others to succeed!

I earned my bachelors in Mechanical Engineering from MIT with a minor in Management. At MIT, I was a director and teacher for the Educational Studies Program (ESP), the group that runs MIT Splash, an event where 2000+ high schoolers come to MIT to take classes from MIT students on any subject imaginable. My time in ESP got me addicted to "spreading the joy of teaching and learning".I love my work as a manufacturing consultant and enjoy spending my weekends teaching online small-group classes and tutoring students. When tutoring, I specialize in Math, Physics, English Grammar and Syntax, and Microsoft Excel since those are all skills and concepts I tutored in college and continue to use daily. I feel very strongly about enabling students to "learn how to learn." My teaching approach prioritizes critical thinking and understanding the building blocks of the material that you are learning, rather than rote memorization of information and equations. I had an extraordinary and rather unique math and science education in high school, which paved the way for a successful college experience (MIT math major) and career as a data scientist. When I first entered college as a chemistry major at UC Berkeley, my interest in this subject was spurred by cool demonstrations with explosive fireball and vibrant colors. Over the past eleven years and a student and researcher, my passion for chemistry has grown and I can appreciate not only the fun aspects in the laboratory and classroom, but how chemical principles undergird all of life and nature, allowing me to see what I've learned at work around me in the world. A deep knowledge of the principles of chemistry have granted me the ability to see beauty in the world and in everyday life, from baking delicious cookies to walking through serene forest groves. Chemistry has also opened up the door to understanding biology and the workings of cells and life itself. Regardless of whether someone desires to pursue chemistry as a course of study as I have, my desire as a teacher of chemistry is to impress on everyone how even an elementary understanding of chemistry can brighten up the world around us.
