I enjoy helping students from around the world learn to read and communicate in English. My approach to learning is a balance of developing skills combined with real-life experiences. I enjoy learning about my students and helping them grow into confident English communicators!

I first became interested in tutoring and teaching during my undergraduate at Lee University. My first experience was teaching improvisational theatre to a group of high school and middle school students. Quickly I realized that I had a gift and passion for education. I would go on to work for a semester as a teaching assistant at Western Carolina University. I taught college freshmen in the American History seminar.I received my BA in History from Lee University in 2016. While attending Lee, I discovered one of my other passions, comedy. Currently I perform improv comedy and stand-up weekly in Chattanooga. In addition to history and comedy, I enjoy writing, reading (especially modern American Literature), and listening to folk music.I am excited for the opportunity to work with students who are ready to learn and value critical thinking and knowledge as much as they value test scores. While I do think test scores and grades are crucial to continuing education and reflecting the progress a student has made, gaining knowledge and learning how to think critically about what is learned is equally crucial.

I have a bachelor's degree in Mathematics from Lee University in Cleveland, TN. One of my passions is helping people figure out that they don't actually hate math, and I've been doing that since high school. I particularly love Calculus, but am also confident tutoring Algebra, Statistics, or Geometry. I have a friendly, laid-back style and I always aim to help the student feel comfortable with both me and the material. I firmly believe that many people's dislike for math is due to their being taught in a manner poorly suited for them, and it is my goal to share math with people in a way that they can best appreciate and understand it. In my free time I enjoy going to the bouldering gym with my wife, reading books, and playing MMOs/ARPGs.

I am a fourth-year middle and high school math teacher at a private, residential school for at-risk teens. I love giving my students the opportunity to learn and grow their math confidence. I utilize multiple teaching methods to reach student with different learning levels and styles. I believe everyone is capable of doing anything with the right tools and knowledge set. I knew from a young age I wanted to be a teacher and be able to help others reach their educational goals. I received my undergraduate degree in psychology and immediately started working with at-risk adolescents. A few years later, I received my Masters in Teaching degree while teaching full-time. I love forming relationships with my students and watching them grow not only as a student, but as a human being.

I am a proud graduate of Lee University, receiving my Bachelor of Science in Healthcare Administration with a minor in biblical studies. During my time there, I traveled extensively and was involved in several social service clubs, campus choir, and I also volunteered my time at the local Boys and Girls club to assist the kiddos with their homework assignments. Upon graduation, I began a career as a financial professional, where I advised families, individuals, and businesses by taking complex (and often confusing) financial subject matter and breaking them down into simple steps. I've always been passionate about learning, and I believe any subject (yes, even the "boring" ones) if given proper care and attention can bring a profound sense of achievement and meaning to our lives. While I tutor a wide variety of subjects, I am most passionate about Mathematics, Business, Writing, and History. In my spare time, I enjoy rock climbing, watching CrashCourse videos on YouTube, designing mobile applications, hiking with my amazing pup Betty, and having picnics downtown with my friends.

Hello! I am an elementary school teacher in Atlanta, Georgia! I have been teaching ESOL for 4 years but spend time assisting in math, science and social studies. I am ready to tutor elementary subjects as well as Adult ESOL. I understand that some concepts are really hard but there are always ways for us to learn! I am here to help you have success in your mathematics classes! I have a Bachelor's of Science in Mathematics and a Master's of Teaching Mathematics in Secondary Mathematics. I have taught secondary math for four years, and I am excited to tutor in Algebra I, Algebra II, Geometry, Trigonometry, Calculus, A.P. Calculus, ACT Math, and more. My teaching philosophy is to empower students to analyze mathematics problems and understand how a particular concept fits in to the mathematics framework.

With a B.A. in music with a vocal emphasis from Lee University, I am a singer who has tutored music theory on the college level, taught voice students in elementary and high school, assisted piano students, and tutored children ranging from seven to seventeen years old in many school subjects. Language is another passion of mine; I have led Japanese classes and studied the language for over four years.I am want to imbue my students with a love and mastery of the material they study. I believe that my work is not done until the student feels confident and excited about the material! Learning and music-making is a gift and should always be a joy. In my free time, I enjoy baking, dancing, and practicing taekwondo.
