My goal is to make studying math and science a more fun and interactive experience.

I graduated Summa Cum Laude from Franklin & Marshall College in 2021 with a B.A. in Moral Psychology and a minor in Russian Studies. Previously, I've participated in workshops with F&M alumni in education, interned with an arts-based preschool, and recently finished tutoring at my local school district, working with second graders and K-5 students; in the future, I will be serving as an ESL co-teacher overseas through the Fulbright Taiwan program. As the first in my family to make it past elementary school, I have always understood the power of knowledge and the opportunities it can afford you. Even more importantly, my goal is to instill a love of learning into my students because there is no better intrinsic motivator, and this drive is what humans appreciate the world in which we live.
I'm Youssef! I'm very excited to work with students right away. Here's some info about myself: I'm a current sophomore Astrophysics and Math Major in college. I love math, and science indeed, and I love teaching them to people in the most fun way possible! Because if math and science aren't fun, they're just a bunch of symbols that make zero sense. I'm very excited to work with students!
I am a recent graduate from Franklin and Marshall College with a major in Economics and a minor in Math. I have been tutoring for the last five years and have taught several subjects including Math (Algebra, Trigonometry, SAT, and SAT Subject Tests), Physics (High school and SAT Subject Tests), SAT Writing, and Economics (High school and AP level).I am extremely passionate about teaching and have taught students of several age groups (12 through 19). I would love to continue this passion by tutoring you!Thank you so much for your time and consideration. I look forward to helping you out in any way possible!Best,Rumit
I have a real passion for teaching and helping students learn and master new skills and concepts. I truly believe that everyone can learn if the right supports are in place. This means taking the time to first get to know an individual and then using his or her interests along with research based learning techniques to make for a productive learning experience that is fun and engaging too. This also means being flexible and figuring out the best learning practice for each individual, as everyone learns in different ways.A little bit about me. I studied history and international studies at Franklin and Marshall College. Currently, I am finishing up a masters program at Vanderbilt University's Peabody College of Education where I will receive a degree and certification in Elementary Education. In addition to teaching both in the US and abroad (I taught English for 6 months in Thailand!), I have had several experiences tutoring, too. Beginning in high school and continuing in college and graduate school, I have tutored students in all elementary subjects and at the college level in writing. When I am not teaching or tutoring, I like to read, go running, try new restaurants in my neighborhood or explore new exhibits at museums.
I tutor with two purposes regardless of the subject matter. The first is to meet the student's goals. The second is to give each student the skills to teach himself or herself. Those learning skills will enable them to improves their academic performance and as important build self-confidence.
When I was young, I struggled with school. I was more focused on my performance on the sports field than I was on my performance in the classroom. My love of learning came only after I spent several summers being tutored by fantastic teachers who helped me develop connections to the material in a way that was both relatable and fun. I learned the value of great educators those summers, and I came to appreciate the importance of strong communication between the student and educator.I received my Bachelor of Arts degrees in Government and Spanish from Franklin & Marshall College in Pennsylvania and went on to receive a Master of Arts degree in Latin American Studies, with a concentration in inter-American Affairs, from the Walsh School of Foreign Service at Georgetown University. Before moving to South Florida, I spent seven years in Washington, D.C. working in international affairs, as well as in government advocacy and public policy. I look forward to helping you with Spanish Language and Literature, History and Government, or Writing and English Language. When I'm not tutoring, I enjoy playing sports, staying active, and finding fun, new recipes to cook.My goal as a tutor is not only to help you understand the material, but also to help you develop your own unique learning tools to benefit your long-term educational growth.
My name is Beatrice, and I'm happy to meet you! I am a dedicated tutor majoring in Government with a minor in English, offering tutoring in both government and English subjects. I am passionate about helping students strengthen their critical thinking, writing, and analytical skills while building confidence in their academic abilities. I tailor each session to individual learning styles, creating a supportive and engaging environment that encourages steady progress and long-term success.
I am a law student at Drexel University Kline School of Law and a graduate of Franklin and Marshall College with a BA in Cognitive Science with a minor in Music. I have also taken numerous classes in Biology and have broad understanding of that field. I have also studied both Spanish and Hebrew languages and can speak both at an intermediate level. I tutor students in a variety of disciplines including biology, mathematics, composition, and test prep for SAT, PSAT, and ACT. My teaching philosophy is that because no student is exactly like another, neither should be my approach to teaching them. I like to get to know every student academically as well as personally so that I can best understand how to help you achieve and exceed your goals. Outside of my studies, I am a diehard football fan, an avid theater-goer, and a prominent student leader on my campus.
I am a current graduate student at the University of Chicago studying clinical social work with a concentration in pediatric psychiatry. I received my Bachelor of Arts in psychology from Franklin and Marshall College. I have extensive experience working with children, adolescents, and young adults. I started tutoring elementary and middle school students when I was in high school and continued to tutor when I was in college. Additionally, when I was in college I worked for an organization where I advised three high school students through the entirety of the college application process. Currently, I am a social work intern in the department of psychiatry at Lurie Children's Hospital. I have experience working with young people who encompass a wide range of learning abilities and I am sensitive to the unique needs that may pose a challenge to a student's learning. I am comfortable tutoring a variety of different subjects, but I have the most experience tutoring psychology, English, and science. I strongly believe in fostering an environment where the student feels supported and encouraged in the learning process.
I first started tutoring when I was in high school. My friends would come to me for help with our classes and for help with writing their essays. I always appreciated this, and I was happy to be able to help my friends with their work and to get them to where they needed to be with the material. This has continued to be my role, even in college. I love being a continued system of support for my friends and classmates in understanding their material. I truly enjoy helping others with their work and will do my very best to help you with your classes.I am currently a student at Franklin and Marshall College out in Lancaster, PA. As of now I have finished a very successful freshman year and am leaning towards majoring in both economics and German. I am able to do this because of the amount of AP credit that I came into school with. This is one of the reasons why I am an avid proponent of AP classes, as it affords chances to expand interests in college. On campus, I am avidly involved in our campus radio station, WFNM, hosting a weekly show with one of my best friends where we debate the news and play both classic rock and country music. I am also a brother of the Phi Kappa Psi fraternity, Pennsylvania Eta chapter. On top of all this, I enjoy being in the great outdoors spending much of my free time outside doing things like fishing, hiking, and kayaking.
I am currently a Freshman at Franklin and Marshall College. I am a member of the women's lacrosse team and I intend to receive a dual degree in Business and Industrial Engineering. I have previously coached middle school level lacrosse, in addition to teaching elementary-age students about bullying and inclusiveness. I will work on the subject material, test-taking strategies, organizational skills, and much more! I look forward to working with you. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to reach out!
