During my junior year of undergrad, I was an exchange student at Sciences Po's campus in Reims, France.I enjoy helping others learn things that they may struggle with or dislike, and I always welcome a challenge!

I am currently a full-time 5th grade math and science teacher during the school year. I have been tutoring for over 7 years now. I like to build a personal relationship with each of my clients in order to ensure a fun and effective experience. It is important to me for all of my students to grasp the concept they are struggling with, to the fullest extent. This can be accomplished by implementing a variety of strategies and methods. I look forward to working with you.
I'm a lifelong educator, former professor and counselor who believes in the importance of fostering and cultivating individual strengths and interests in order to address areas of need.
Hi! I am a current 2L law student with tons of tutoring experiencing ranging from Spanish tutoring in high school to LSAT tutoring through law school! I'd love to help you gain confidence in the legal area you're struggling in!
I am a law student and scholarship recipient at the University of Texas at Austin, a T14 Law School. In addition, I have a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration with a minor in Economics and Management from DePaul University. I am deeply passionate about helping others, and seeing that incoming and current students get the help they need to succeed in their program. I have tutored hundreds of students for the LSAT, and I believe anyone can achieve their goals with the right mentor by their side. My teaching style is friendly and personable, as I want my students to know that they can ask me anything and be heard. I look forward to helping you achieve your goals!
I am a Spanish tutor. I have been studying the language and culture since 7th grader and continue to learn more about the Spanish language. My name is Brittany. I am a fourth year educator with a bachelor's degree in Elementary Education and a master's degree in Special Education from University of Illinois Chicago. My favorite part about teaching is developing a relationship with each child and taking their strengths and incorporating it into the learning process!
I am an adjunct law school professor, and my passion is teaching students how to solve problems. I received my undergraduate degree from Northwestern University and my law degree from DePaul University. I love all things Chicago, especially the lakefront. I try to read at least two books a week and write in my free time. I have tutored high school students, college students, graduate students, and law students for many years, mainly in reading and writing. Education and learning are of the utmost importance, and when students grasp a concept it is a wonderful victory for any educator, and of course, the student!
I love working with students! I love learning about students' interests and making tutoring sessions as meaningful and engaging as possible. Working through challenging subjects like reading portions of the ACT or math can actually be fun. We can learn a lot about ourselves through these experiences.I bring a love of music and sports and travel to the work I do. Honestly, everything we do can be an adventure if we approach it with the right attitude and perspective. I believe with the right support and guidance we can overcome just about any challenge we are presented with.I graduated with a Master's from DePaul University this past June with honors. I was the kid who barely squeezed out of high school. I get the struggles. But we have all the resources we need to overcome them!
My teaching experience ranges from mentoring children ages 3-5 years old in developing their language and literacy skills, to tutoring college students who are tackling tough Chemistry topics, and all ages in between. Not every student learns the same way, so I introduce material in different ways until it becomes relatable to the student. Enthusiasm and encouragement are important in order to keep students engaged and interested, and these are the tools I use to teach subjects that are often seen as difficult and frustrating to understand.
I'm passionate about helping students build confidence in their drawing abilities by breaking down techniques into clear, approachable steps. With 3 years of experience being an instructional assistant, I supported students in small group settings. My goal is to create a supportive learning environment where students feel encouraged to grow, experiment, and enjoy the creative process.
I greatly enjoy working with adolescents and middle school-age students and helping them achieve their academic potential. My tutoring experience extends back more than a decade. Since early high school, I have tutored both peers and younger students. My students have included special education, gifted, English Language Learners, music/arts students and students with disabilities. Finally, I majored in and am pursuing a Master's Degree in the field of social science. The Master's in Education program at Depaul is preparing me to teach students from a variety of cultural and linguistic backgrounds at the secondary level.
Hi! I'm a history and social studies teacher with a PhD in Curriculum Studies and an MA in History. I've spent my career helping students at the secondary and college levels build the skills they need to succeed — whether that's understanding historical events, writing a strong essay, tackling a research project, preparing for an AP exam, or simply becoming more confident readers, thinkers, and writers. I love working with students one-on-one because I get to meet you exactly where you are and help you figure out what clicks. If you're looking for someone patient, encouraging, and genuinely excited to help you grow, I'd love to work with you!
I am an aspiring high school teacher. I graduated DePaul University with a degree in Finance in 2013. I worked as an accountant for a large financial services firm for 2 years (July 2013 - June 2015). During my time there, I passed the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) Level 1 examination. I have intentions to go back to school for Secondary Education to teach economics/social studies.
Hello! I have been a teacher for the past 15 years with experience in both special education and general education. I have expertise across the content areas but have degrees in English and History. I am also very adept at making modifications and accommodations for students of various learning styles. I'd love to work with your student!
I am a humorist, so please don't take my stern photo too seriously!I love mathematics, logic, probability, machine learning, decision making, and non-empirical theories of everything... But that should not intimidate you! I have extensive experience teaching Undergraduates in a variety of subject areas (by the time you read this, I will probably be again teaching in person courses at a University concurrently). Before I get too deep into me... I expect to focus my efforts on general college level mathematics, probability/statistics/decision making (SOA/CAS P Exam qualified), computer science, and data science/machine learning/AI (not robotics other than decision making). If you are studying at a Freshman/Sophomore Undergraduate level or preparing for College, I can meet you at your level at anything I am listed as qualified for. Upperclassmen should ask and the answer will be yes in some areas and no in others! But ask!Personally, I have a BA in Computer Science (Honors) and an MSci in Computational Finance (Honors), areas in which I have published in Academic journals. This prepared me for most recently teaching College Engineering Mathematics (Calculus, Linear Algebra) at a German University (I speak German and can teach in German or Spanish, but I am American and English is my first language). As indicated, I am suited to teach any of a variety of Computer Science related topics as well. (Ask!)I previously received a BA/MA in Philosophy, from prestigious programs, where I concentrated on Mathematical Logic and (what is now considered) Machine Learning. In these programs, I taught Logic, Probability, Inference, and English Composition. This time also infected me with a keen interest in theoretical foundations for Computer Science, Data Science, and Mathematics/Logic.Again, I encourage you to ask me whether I can help you with a topic. In general, I often can't meet a students needs when they are very technical-topic specific or otherwise very specialized mathematical areas... If you need a tutor for the Go programming language, you can probably find somebody, but I am not that person (I do everything I can in Python and its libraries, but know Java/C++/SQL and others, e.g. a bit of Prolog, R/SAS. I also web-scraped the World Factbook to build geo.atheoryof.us)... but just ask and I will help you find your way!
I am a Math Teacher at a High School. I have taught 4th, 6th, 7th, 8th and High School Math. I have a Master's in Development Economics so I can teach Economics too. My goal is to uplift my students and get them to the next level in math and life.
Studying to pass an exam can be stressful. Obtaining skills and techniques to relieve the stress takes a huge weight off your shoulders. This is what I hope to do when I teach students who are looking to get their real estate license. When I received my real estate license in IL over 5 years ago now, I studied on my own and was able to complete the process in about 2 months. I have also been teaching the material in-person and online for almost 3 years.Let's get started on your road to success!
I have over thirty years of corporate financial experience at various levels and across several industries. I started in traditional financial analyst/staff accountant roles and progressed through the ranks to positions of international controller and chief financial officer. I held these titles with two different companies, one publicly-traded, so I have had experience in working with a wide variety of professionals in different environments around the world. In more recent years, I have worked as an independent consultant specializing in areas of financial reporting, internal control, and interim managerial staff-augmentation roles. I began teaching finance and management courses online in the Fall of 2012 and have been doing so ever since.I particularly enjoy tutoring because I am able to help so many students become familiar with concepts that are so very important in today's world! By sharing my background and experience, I look forward to helping students learn and master financial, management and business skills they will be able to apply throughout their personal and professional lives.

I have taught the following courses while in graduate school: General chemistry, Organic Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry and Inorganic Chemistry. Some of my hobbies include yoga, reading, playing music with my band members and cooking. I hope I can help with your science and math courses. Best of luck!
I am a recent graduate of DePaul University with a BA in English Literature and a minor in Professional Writing. I am also currently working on my MA in English Literature, to be completed in 2021. I have worked as a tutor at my university's writing center for the last two years, collaborating with students on a variety of different written works. I find that helping students to develop their voices through writing is one of the most rewarding things in the world.
I am a graduate of the University of Illinois with a Bachelors of Arts in Liberal Arts and Sciences with focus on literature and classics. I am also graduate of DePaul University with a Masters of Fine Arts with focus on screenwriting, where my thesis earned distinction. Since graduation, in 2020 no less, I have written several film and television pilots and have been apart of some pretty cool film projects in Montreal, New York, and Chicago. While I am able to tutor/work within many subjects, I am most passionate about literature (American, British, Russian, and the Classics) and writing and editing; if it be creative, academic, admission essays or just a run of the mill english paper. I'm passionate about these subjects because I believe that the power to make a difference starts with the written word; in understanding it and being able to pragmatically put it into use. No meaningful change can happen without the ability to properly articulate one's thoughts and feelings by way of the written word. And I try to instill that passion for the written word into each one of my students.

I am a sophomore student at DePaul University in Chicago. I am currently majoring in neuroscience which is the science of the brain! I have been tutoring students of all ages for about five years and I really enjoy it. I am tutoring chemistry, biology, and algebra. I know those subjects can be daunting and challenging but by taking our time and breaking it down together, I'm sure you will start to understand it.
My goal is to assist students in what they find most difficult to help them achieve their goals. I enjoy getting to know a student's personal interests and hobbies. In doing so, I will get to know their learning preferences and get to use references or analogies to what they already know and use on a regular basis.
I received my MBA from Northwestern University. I also have a PhD in physical chemistry from Northern Illinois University. Since graduation, I have over 20 years experience performing research and development and business consulting on a wide range of nuclear waste management, nanomaterial, and nanomedicine fields. While I tutor a broad range of subjects, I am most passionate about chemistry, physics, biology, and math. In my experience helping struggling students is a matter of time and mentoring before they dominating a topic. I am a strong believer in preparing students in the science, technology, and engineering fields. In my spare time, I enjoy reading journals and viewing historic documentaries, music, and basketball.
I have been tutoring since high school, when I tutored students in Algebra, Geometry, Trigonometry, and Chemistry. Since then, I have tutored for four years at the college level in both German and Music Theory/Aural Skills. I have also twice co-taught an intensive one-month long German 101 course, where I designed the lesson plans, and graded homework, quizzes and tests.I am a great tutor because of my broad experience in tutoring many different subjects, so that I have a wide variety of approaches to help all types of students master the material. I also believe that, in my German tutoring especially, I'm very systematic, so that my students have a strong grammar foundation on which to build further skills and concepts. I have also lived in Germany for a year, and am able to bring world-life experiences into tutoring sessions, so that I can instill in my students a desire to learn more of the German language through a glimpse of what is possible once one has a basis in the language. I also have taken German Diction classes because of my background in vocal performance, and this means that I am especially adept at dealing with difficulties in pronunciation, or when students are having trouble hearing the difference between those pesky umlauts!

Whether I am preparing students for NCLEX or offering support for coursework, my goal remains the same. I focus on building confidence and developing practical skills they can carry from the classroom to their future careers. As a recent graduate, I understand the pressures of nursing school and the anxiety of preparing for NCLEX. That experience helped me high impact skills that make a real difference. This is the standard that I hold myself to in education.
